Hilariously they've set themselves up in a situation where staying at their current market cap is basically a total failure, even though they made it to number 4 instantly. As I understand it people bought them for 20 USD in the ICO with the assumption that it was "backed" at that level. If it stays below 20 USD for too long it'll probably completely unravel.

Maybe there is a little bit of misinformation here. Since August I have been with GAW with their Hashlet . I have gained enough funds mining and right after the price of Hashlets soared from $16 to $50  , I have breakeven and more.

Now Paycoin, investors have $4 /coin in ICO where as Josh Garza , CEO of GAW guaranteed its price to peg at $20 once its on the market. The thing with PayCoin is , it had recently ended its PoW phase  with 500,000 coins being mined using SHA-256  algo. After this  PoS will start with the so-called HashStaker wallet (evolved from Hashlets). The recent jacked up of coin supply was due to the miners of Hashlets through Hashpoint- a mining reward for GAW accounts.  Paycoin will continue to increase its supply since it will enter the PoS phase Monday Dec 22, 2014.

snapshot is done?

done

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=12284.0

The link refers to the snapshot being taken for PTS ...not for sparkle . This is misleading.

PTS-DPOS has snapshot at the same day as Sparkle, so Sparkle will use same data for allocation shares to PTS owners.

Hmm from what I have read Sparkle snapshot will not be taken from PTS alone , BTS also has a stake .  You are correct when snapshot the same day but allocation is different. Initial supply for sparkle would be 100 Million as compare to DPOS-PTS that has a billion initial supply from their respective snapshots. Refer to sparkle website http://thetruesparkles.wix.com/sparkle#!faq/cyx2

Honoring the original plans of Bitshares is without a question the reason why Sparkle is here to stay. No matter POW or POS, doesn't matter. This was what Invictus trumpeted all along last year (polymorphic digital assets). I am really glad that I have envisioned this as a great way to invest .

If this pushes through , it will be good. Imagine free money.

Maidsafe has one hell of a P2P infrastructure. Hopefully their plans with I3 push thru.

Just wait until the marketing starts and the Music fundraiser is finished December 6th. Money is coming in to BTS soon. Enjoy this buying opportunity.

I just like it when mentioning money is coming.  ;) Importantly Bitshares put up a legitimate financial platform that is fast and secured with so many assets that can be launched and exchanged.

Excellent job Brian .... Go Bitshares!!!!

General Discussion / Re: Why isn't Bitshares joining with BlockNet?
« on: November 18, 2014, 07:46:21 am »
This idea is NOT acceptable. Bitshares has its own identity . The team of I3 has more tricks in the bag that will generally surprise investors. It is really a long shot that Bitshare will be with the same level of bitcoin pricewise but its  innovations are far more attractive with its long term vision. DPOS is one very creative blockchain technology . It can live up to its own. Why mesh up with other blockchain technologies. Isn't that for we had mined or invest in Bitshares PTS and AGS for the reason we can have at least 10% of what upcoming DACs that I3 or any other 3rd party DACs developer would allocate? Many will adapt DPOS I am certain of . Once marketing and general public have seen the vast potentials DPOS could bring to its industry, making it standard to the way of life.

The developer may consider other 2.0 technologies that are available . The original choice was DPOS. What made them seek alternatives was a comment from a guy I think is a part of the team. As I mentioned , CoinHoader did a point by point why the developer must choose DPOS.

According to the forum user named Huntercrafterminers , "kill switch": an ability of the genesis block generator to erase the whole chain and restart it. To the rest of I3 team , is this possible? or the guy is only spreading FUD?

Back in BTT forum I was advocating DPOS for the zennet guys to use it. CoinHoader has a deep knowledge in DPOS and defended it well to what the other user think about DPOS and its disadvantage.  The Zennet project is a very ambitious one but with huge potential. Just imagine if it is using DPOS technology. Hopefully we can convince them.
