It just goes to show that Bitshares really has no competitor in this space.

*cough* NXT *cough*

(Don't have any NXT; missed out on the initial IPO and it was always a risk to buy later with massive holders out there who can cash out anytime with massive profits.)

Amen. I was thinking the same thing when I read that.

Can I get a link?

Worthless? Buddy, PM me and I'll buy all the PTS you've got. Have a little patience with this development team; they're working their asses off. Your PTS are going to be worth a mint, but not by next week.

Simple minds want speed at any price. Greater minds prefer things being done right, and have patience.

Speed is important as well. That being said what we need is speed and quality NOT one at the expense of the other. I mean if the release of something is going to be delayed for weeks or months like Keyhotee than you might as well extend the founding period as well. Perhaps the snapshot date shouldn't have been on the 28th of February.
It also makes you look good if you say you'll have something done by a certain deadline and you follow through, plus it shows leadership.

Alas, we promised 2-weeks notice, so that means the snapshot had to happen 2 weeks before the earliest possible date.

The alternative we plan to use in the future is to wait until latest possible date (when testing is totally complete), and then wait two more weeks before we can launch.

This is also why we no longer release estimates or target dates.  We'd like to share our hopes and goals, but that has proven to be counterproductive.

Keeping everybody equally unhappy is always an interesting compromise.   :)

I was just reading an article about Counterparty being upset over how the core Bitcoin developers slashed OP_RETURN 80 bytes down to 40 bytes of extra data on the Bitcoin blockchain. It just goes to show that Bitshares really has no competitor in this space. I remember BM talking about how the MSC approach of doing things on top of the Bitcoin blockchain was flawed because of blockchain bloat and here we are and that is probably what is happening.

So despite the fact that we(I) may get a bit impatient you guys are ahead of the pack. You're on to something big here and we(I) will continue to invest into the AGS fund.

Hi Dan,

Thank you very much for the new BTS X update you have posed here: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=3812.0

As being monitor the thread for several weeks,  I saw many features of the new BTS X, they are very interesting. I was wondering that you can have some latest screenshots of the app for us. That would be great to fulfill our expectations :P

Lol, hopefully devs won't encounter any suprise Rodents Of Unusual Size, it could cause another delay.

Stan,

It's not difficult to understand the community takes you guys' words as official decisions ignoring your signatures especially when it comes to the dates.

Like what you said on Mar 16th as shown below. People may think, "What's wrong with I3, it's weekend now, where is the newsletter, delay again?"

Words are words, promises and promises, but what I really care about is what you deliver.

See my replies in bold.  All of this is the subject of this month's newsletter to be released early this week.
