Oh, and that reminds me... YES, to get a networking pass to the event is absolutely free. So if you're on a budget but still want to go, just show up and you can walk around the event all days for nothing.   Most of the action takes place in networking and meeting outside the speaker rooms anyway... heck, that's how i met Dan and got started with this whole thing! Can't wait to meet all of you that I haven't yet, if you're attending vegas.  This is kind of like a reunion for many of us, since the last time we were in Vegas, it was just Dan all by himself talking about a funny little thing called Protoshares and looking for a team to hire.  Drinks on me!  B

Hey guys...

I was able to get Dan the keynote spot for the final day of Inside Bitcoins in Vegas next month.  Here's info on his keynote talk:

Morning Keynote: Bitcoin and Beyond

In this keynote address, Daniel Larimer will review the history of Bitcoin, explain how its value can be understood with conventional analysis, and then dive into the technologies that go beyond Bitcoin such as trust free, income producing, digital gold, silver, and USD.

Daniel Larimer Founder,

Could we take some of the content and create blog posts on the blogchain that link back to it? that would help you with links and us with more content...

These are looking good. Please let me know when you feel they're good enough to share and I'll get them out on social media... B

We do. It's called "Newbies" and it's at the bottom of the forum.  Perhaps we could have it raised to near the top where it would be more visible for those first checking out our forum?

Yes, I had the article edited to clear up what it says....  I also ran the new version by Vitalik, so all is now good with the world again.

NO, Ethereum is NOT our enemy or a direct competitor for that matter, as I'm sure Bytemaster will agree.  We are two cutting edge organizations doing different things in this wide open industry with plenty of room for all of us.  There isn't going to be one winner any more than when the Internet was adopted on a mass scale that only one internet company was the winner.

I am looking forward to what both of our teams do in the years ahead and fully support Vitalik and team!

Welcome to the BitShares community!

Maybe you've heard about us...there's a lot of buzz going on with BitShares right now.  Our "virtual vault" and exchange called BitSharesX just became the fourth largest company in our industry in just its first month.  www.bitshares-x.info   Maybe you already knew that and want to get your hands on some shares, or you just want to learn more. We invite you to join us for a free step by step training webinar.

HOW TO GET STARTED WITH BITSHARESX (BTSX) WEBINAR

So what will this webinar be about? We're gonna walk you through live, step by step on exactly how to get shares in BitSharesX.  We'll show you how to download your own "virtual vault", use it, and get your BTSX shares in it.  No worries if you're brand new to BitShares, Bitcoin, or this crazy new crypto world. I appologize for the delay. I don't have access to the webinar recording myself, but I'll let you know as soon as the webinar host posts it, and it's available to watch. I'll post it at the top of the marketing section of the forum so no one can miss it.  Stay tuned.... B

Sorry, this is not a remote position. Bytemaster has requested that if someone is working with us full time, they relocate.  Yes, non US citizens can apply and work for us for as long as their visas will allow.  We already have devs who are with us for shorter periods of time.... Or you can work with us on a long term basis.  We'll be hiring quickly, so the process won't take long if you're the kind of person we're looking for. B

Time to get the word out!   BitShares is now hiring.

Are you a web developer with AngularJS experience? Are you passionate about BitShares? Are you willing to relocate to beautiful Blacksburg, VA and join our growing team? If you are, or know someone who is interested in working with us, please send your resume to brian@bitshares.org.  Positions are open now.

ALSO:  $1,000 bitUSD referral fee if you recommend someone or they said they were referred by you and they are offered a job with our team.

General Discussion / Re: Question to Brian, the Marketing Director
« on: September 02, 2014, 02:23:48 pm »
Jakub, this isn't something you pop out in a day's worth of work. The explainer video on bitshares.org, for example, took about two months worth of writing, rewriting, going over it again and again with Bytemaster, completely scrapping every version and script we came up with, having the video produced by someone who does animations, getting a professional to do narration, etc. Its no small task.

And explaining BitSharesX is not going to be any easier. I don't want to throw something together. I want it to be top quality and a tool we can use for a long time.  There are plenty of articles, interviews and explanations about BitSharesX currently available for now to hold us over a few more weeks and we are still in beta mode after all.

And of course, if you want something done today, go for it...I'd encourage anyone who thinks they can clearly and concisely describe what BitSharesX is and how it works in 90 seconds, to take a shot at it. If what you create is excellent, we'll use it!  B
