It's nice to see people's reaction to it though. Once again someone pulls out something before us, but we lack manpower unfortunately so we can't do everything at once.

Why not just replicate every single market that exists on Augur here on BitShares? It will bring in more people looking for better odds, plus we have smartcoins.

Then people will get used to using both and our markets will gain volume too. You just plant a few seeds here and there on the forums "But on BTS that market is paying X for outcome B", etc. People should naturally come and check it out.

I think this has been discussed in the past and the issue was how to weight each coin if I'm not mistaken. But it's a good idea I like it, it deserves to be a MPA

Thanks. It's around 0.02% then. Can we have more?

Depends on if they have more I guess @21xhipster

I didnt even mention bitshares ahah bitcoiners really are the pinacle of irony. Open minded People who want to decentralize stuff and achieve financial independence and escape from.the shackles of the world while at the same time wanting to Ban every single project not related to bitcoin even if ir does things better.

People who think bitcoin is about that are wrong. Bitcoin is all about money and making a profit.its like any other industry they "hate". Bitcoin is but an empty shell of what it once was

I think that although it could be a good long term move in terms of security, they would not do it.

This because it would imply changing their service. Users would need to wait 3 seconds to get their orders filled right? Loyal customers could care, bit not the majority.

They are moving great volumes, making a lot of monet, this could potentially risk all of that.

If something is going fine, you dont change it, houdont fix whats not broken. They were ddosed right but i think they wont see it as a strong enough reason.

They want profit, they are making a lot of it and they couod risk loosing it.

They could still move a market at a time, try starting with lower volume coins... Dont know if they would want to invest their time doing it. Honestly i thhink they wont but we can always try to reach out.

The "no" is always guaranteed if you dont ask so

Soooo....what are the charts saying now guys?

I know nothing about technical trading, but it looks to be a fairly low volume dump overall, compared to the pump candles going on the other day. Does that mean anything?

Kind of feels like ETH stole our pump, and now we have to pay for their dump, too. Double whammy.

This happened to everyone. A coordinated dump. BTS, ETH, MAID, SJCX, FCT. Everything down in a matter of minutes. Someone trying to create chaos.

What's interesting is that these coins have majority of the volume on Poloniex.  I worry another Willy bot could be in play.  Thoughts?

There's no way of knowing that. Could be someone just wanting to cause panic on Polo. Remember they were under DDOS a few hours ago!! It think there's some chance of that. With this huge volume, polo should have a pretty big target on its back.

Someone has a case against Polo or Ethereum maybe. I think that's more likely.

Ether is going to be added on a chinese exchange today too so maybe someone wanting to get in cheap before the chinese get in?

Technical Support / Re: Need help importing old PTSwallet into 2.0.
« on: March 14, 2016, 01:18:21 am »
Still not working.  Just to let you know what I did. I had my really old PTS wallet.dat from when those suckers were like 9$.  I imported that .dat file into the bitshares-pts 1.0 wallet.  Did I royally screw up doing that?

I don't know if you must let your 0.9 version sync first, if you do it might take quite a while. I think there was a copy of the updated chain somewhere so you don't have to wait that much?

@xeroc

@puppies I don't know why, I was under the impression you had a copy of the chain somewhere?

but what are really funny - my client is now also out of sync, so maybe not a local problem on your side!

I found it strange because I've never seen it out of sync. It ended up syncing after a few minutes though. Don't know what happened.

Seems pretty much like those BTC flash crashes that used to happen on BTC-e
