Dear bitshares community
I would like to accept bitshares payments on our website which is implemented in PHP. I find the wallet merchant protocol very appealing and I went through this tutorial docs.bitshares.eu/integration/merchants/merchant-protocol.html.

My issue is, that LZMA compression is required in Step 2. There is no LZMA compression library for PHP and therefore the only option I see would be to pass the json to the client side and then use client-side java script to compress it, which is kind of a sub optimal hack.

Is LZMA compression mandatory? Is it possible to compress using e.g. rfc1951 ? Is anyone else using the wallet merchant protocol from PHP ? How did you overcome this issue ?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

I know this dev and the project very well.
Some answer to this issue or a hint where to get this information would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your trust.
Indeed there is a lot of technology, politics and business involved in running a huge network like bitshares and i expect it to grow massively in 2017.
Hoping to serve your needs well..

Really appreciate your job & integrity and share your expectations !

We identified a sorting bug related to account authorities today which may have been the cause of this. jcalfee has fixed it so hopefully that will resolve this issue once the next version goes out.
Update: unfortunately that fix won't work in all cases.. IMO we need a hard fork.

//Update: after closer checking, I believe the key sorting bug won't affect balance claiming, unless the account used to claim funds is a multi-sig account. So, if OP (or @CalabiYau) was not claiming funds to a multi-sig account, it might be caused by another bug, probably a bug which causes loss of key(s).
NOT a multisig account.
@CalabiYau Can you help provide some logs if possible? Thanks!

Seems to be a bug in version "BitShares-light_2.0.160314".

Got an
Code: [Select]
Error:  3030003 tx_missing_other_auth: missing required other authority
Reinstalled previous version "BitShares-light_2.0.160217" ==>  Balance claims are broadcasted without problems.

Log screenshots available if it helps.

Why not use bitshares_official instead of giving 3k usd to a random guy?

It's called good marketing.

See above. Old owner was using it for bitcoin stuff, was embarrassing.
Bitshares marketing has been historically very poor, we need to up our game and come across as professional.

Agree, thank you for this initiative  +5%

i use "wss://bitshares.openledger.info/ws"

but today no speed problems - sitting in europe!

Also Europe here, "wss://bitshares.openledger.info/ws" is actually working again, seems periodically slow.

You can try changing the api source for your wallet.  Just click the options button, and then click the wss://bitshares.openledger.info/ws and select one of the other two servers.  Theres one from dacplay, and one that I run as a backup.

I have also noticed that when I am using some of my accounts the wallet is much less responsive.  Its beyond my technical ability to solve, but I suppose I should compile a list of what accounts seem to cause the wallet to slow down.

sweet, thank you very much! ideally, whatever was slowing down the other connection could be fixed, but the change works well for me now. appreciate the help!

"wss://bitshares.openledger.info/ws"   is still working slow/not usable, using "wss://dele-puppy.com/ws" is o.k.

Thank you puppies for this service.  Sent some support.

General Discussion / Re: Introducing Cryptonomex International (CNI)

Back on track: I have met both, Manuela and Ronald in Amsterdam. It's been the main motivation for me to go there from the beginning.
We have had quite some nice talking about how to bring CNX/CNI and BTS more exposure.

For those that cannot read between the lines: I will be a part of CNI as a technical consultant and also contribute as business developer.

That is also what we did during d10e in Amsterdam. I had quite some talks with businesses, investors and others and usually started of telling them about
our toolkit to deploy blockchains (graphene) and quickly told them why they shouldn't deploy their own chain (shared user base etc).
In the end, most have been very excited already when I told them about market pegged assets. After telling them about turing completeness, confirmation
times, FBA, and 0-fee transfers most went crazy.

In short, we have an awesome product, we just need to start selling it to people and that is what I plan to do.

Very promising  +5%

I like this forum, maybe just because I have used to it. I hate to change too much, especially when lost track of ever existed information.
