Furthermore, I appreciate that @bitcrab describes what is going on in his perspective, even though people may disagree with his conclusions.
There are forces in play that seem to have sufficient liquidity to place with BTS valuation, and that is not the first time.
As a committee member, I (and bitcrab) need to make sure that the core value proposition of bitassets is kept and we follow different
procedures to achieve that. Bitcrab seems to be more experimental friendly than others and I like that he can freely discuss those in
the forums. Personal attacks are inacceptable - no matter what!
Other than that, conflicting interests are only natural and they should be address, but this thread was to discuss consequences of trades as
they happend in the past and learn from them.
The general question here is how much risk is the BitShares DAC willing to take. Using a collateral ratio of only 2x would by high risk while 10x can be considered "low risk".I also think that lower risk is better for us.
A reasonable answer is probably in between but highly depends on market conditions.
I do like the proposal linking the collateral ratio to the price level in general and would like to emphasis that any formula used today can (and should) be tuned an revised later on.
However, I am not a financial expert and lack the expertise to have a well-founded opinion about this and thus would ask to go rather high on collateral ratio and low on risk.

Its really a pain and i lost personly a lot of money because of these kind of lags on hot days.
So i build my own personal node to have a good connection guarantee because these are the days where you make good profit.
But knowing these issues and me wanting DEX to get a major player this issue needs to be fixed quickly since i heard from many mad traders to leave DEX because of the bad performance.
Is there any clean and clear documentation were you able to follow for running your own node?

You were right more than you may have realized! USDT from tether is a massive sell off for Bitcoin, Bitshares, many different currencies everywhere.

All you have to do is look for any Market on coinmarketcap.com that has a USDT trading pair... everyone is liquidating USDT and trading it for other coins and then most probably doing withdrawals back to fiat.
each time BTS are in serious market situation, poloniex is maintaining BTS wallet and users cannot withdraw BTS, I cannot understand this without supposing poloniex is in collusion with some whales to manipulate the BTS price and make money.If you love your your money deposited in BTS (or other crypto) leave all external centralized exchanges and stick to BitShares.
