I don't have skype so if someone gets hold of Julien can you ask him to look at this thread? I can send my wallet.dat via email. Thanks!!

I still can't get the wallet to run without crashing. So I can't recover my funds from 2014. So I was hoping I could send my wallet.dat to someone so they can do it for me. I don't have skype or anything like that. Never used those things. I can send my wallet.dat via email along with a bitshares address.

Thanks!

Technical Support / protoshares wallet from 2014
« on: July 31, 2019, 12:59:35 pm »
Hi, I am attempting to import the wallet from 2014. I am following these instructions -

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=20822.0;all

I am using linux.

So I ran "wallet_open" at the prompt -

wallet closed) >>> wallet_open

Now the prompt says -

"wallet_name:"

I have tried running "default" and leaving it blank too, but neither wallet name exists. So the wallet closes. Now I have no idea what to do. Can somebody help?

Thanks.

As of right now BitShares is a big headache for me. It would be best if the price crashed so I wouldn't have to think about it.

I have already wasted many hours over this. All hours I could have been meditating and building up my energy!

Over the last few days my energy levels have been negatively affected by this whole charade. The metaphysics of money, abstract calculation, property etc are diametrically opposed to the path which leads to true wealth found in spiritual wisdom.

A man rich in spirit lives in a world of absolute freedom and happy abundance. He can afford to give away his riches for free as the supply never runs dry. On the other hand a man who seeks wealth otherwise can never be fill the abysmal hole fueled by base desires as his soul exists in a wasteland of abject poverty.

Did you see the Chang video? He healed people for FREE!

Here's one of his students projecting energy -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xh9NmkAG7E

The other day I was projecting energy at a friend of a friend and there are different energy centres in the body you can focus on. When I changed my focus to the 3rd eye he said WOW all of a sudden the energy really increased  ;)

As of right now I don't need to work and have a monthly income. But I'm living at my mum's and she spends ALL DAY DISTURBING ME BY TELLING ME TO TIDY UP MY BEDROOM HAHAHA.

So I need to get enough money to buy my own place to get peace and quiet and not be disturbed. Then I can do extended meditations!! like "Buddha Boy" -

Anyway, I have no idea how much BTS I might have. For all I know it could be worth anywhere from $200 to $70,000. Really I haven't got a clue. However, I have a few thousand in other cryptos. One thing is for sure, you won't catch me buying a "lambo" if I ever do make money with cryptos HAHAHA!

Do you know what version you started this procedure with?  IE what version did you first export that wallet from?

Did you try this on a Windows OS?

Have you followed the instructions here: http://docs.bitshares.org/bitshares/migration/howto-exporting-wallet.html

Thanks for the reply!

I have two wallet.dat archives. One from 25th Feb 2014 and the other from 7th April 2014 and I haven't tried using windows. I'd have to go and buy a new computer to do that!

I have tried to run 0.9.3c and the GUI version always crashes at the end of the splash screen. The CLI version seems to work, but when I tell it to open the default wallet it says "no_such_wallet: wallet does not exist
No such wallet exists!"

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,25555.0.html

I downloaded an archived blockchain and put the wallet.dat in the same directory with the blockchain -- .Bitshares -- which is in my home directory in linux.

Thanks!

Some original Invictus investors I have spoken to are getting frustrated trying for months to get their funds transferred.   I suggest the dev team set up a more organize method of helping resolving people's issues.

I'm sorry if people think I'm joking around and having a laugh. I am not, I, and many others, have been badly let down by Dan Larimer. He needs to honour his obligations. As of right now I hold him fully responsible for this mess.

There ought not be two paid recovery services on this forum and there ought not be many unanswered posts trying to find help redeeming promised shares. Is Dan aware of people's problems?

I don't want to waste my time hanging around on this forum crying for help and just being ignored and insulted.

Just leaving this here in case I need it sometime in the future -

Tried this -

>>> wallet_open default
20004 no_such_wallet: wallet does not exist
No such wallet exists!
    {"wallet_name":"default"}
    th_a  wallet.cpp:969 open

    {"wallet_name":"default"}
    th_a  wallet.cpp:989 open

    {}
    th_a  common_api_client.cpp:2926 wallet_open

    {"command":"wallet_open"}
    th_a  cli.cpp:626 execute_command
(wallet closed) >>> wallet_open
wallet_name: default
20004 no_such_wallet: wallet does not exist
No such wallet exists!
    {"wallet_name":"default"}
    th_a  wallet.cpp:969 open

    {"wallet_name":"default"}
    th_a  wallet.cpp:989 open

    {}
    th_a  common_api_client.cpp:2926 wallet_open

    {"command":"wallet_open"}
    th_a  cli.cpp:626 execute_command
(wallet closed) >>>

Do any of you see where the problem could be? Thanks!

Anyway, fav you're a very naughty boy because I know you could help with my wallet problems and yet all you did was throw insults in my direction. Where's the love in that, fav?
