Thanks!
This is an excellent post for MemoryCoin (and for some other coins as well).
Very good read - I've learned a few interesting things from it.

Let's try and get a discussion going on on the thread @ BitcoinTalk to get it to stay on top.

Hello,

I normally don't add "small" coins, because I never know if they will last or not, and hosting costs a lot of money (the website is currently running on 25+ servers).
However, I believe Coinplorer significantly adds value to the added coins. And this value will even increase very soon, as I'm currently implementing a multi-currencies web wallet.
This is why I ask small coins like this the equivalent of $500 to be added, payable in ANY currency - even yours if it best fits you. The payment doesn't have to come from a single source, it could be a "community donation" or anything you can imagine.
The other choice is to wait to be listed on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0 as an "Alternative" coin (ie not in the purgatory nor dead/dying).

Let me know what best fits you.

Great job!!!
These are the things that could raise our coin's value.
I'll test it and start releasing some posts about it.

Cool deal.
Another step in the right direction.
We need somewhere to publicize things like this.
Is there a better press release section on the MMC homepage?
Not yet.
We're working on a new site, so it's a good idea to add a section there.

Congratz to our new CNO!
Very happy to see you got it.
Your plans are awesome and it will be far easier for me to do my job with the great things you have in store.

Welcome!

I think you should be voting.
If you want to be really strict with yourself, you could only use the ceo address to vote and not the other funds

Should be able to get a professional narrator for a few hundred dollars for a few minutes video. We have some BTC on hand to finance that if you need it.
We can do that, but I'm not sure it's necessary as there are a lot of pros on Fiverr willing to do it for around 4-5 gigs ($20-$25).
I'll review it with you for approval as they all have preview videos.

So far I have it running it has more than doubled my HPM.
I will enable hugepages next.  Hopefully that boosts a bit more as well.
Great!
Very glad to hear that :)

Do we have a script / concept yet?

I don't want to do just a "we donate to charity".  Maybe a quick "cryptonomics" overview of miners, merchants, pools, exchanges, developers, service providers, etc.  Then MMC wallet, voting and non-voting uses? Then charities, officers, and community development?

I'd like to play up the "make your wallet known / build a dev-team" part of it - like if we built an MMC jobpost / freelance web site.  Play community development as "bring your team / ideas and we'll find people to help" vs. "donate money/coding".
I have a concept in mind, but open for discussion.
I'd like to keep the video short and focused.
We need to emphasize our changes from Bitcoin (and other alt coins) so the script is basically quite simple.
Adding extras could be nice for follow up videos, not for the introductory video which should be short (2 minutes max).

As I said, open for discussion.

Thanks

MemoryCoin / Re: Open Source or Licensed Pool Software
« on: February 08, 2014, 07:01:08 pm »
yeah, I have seen enough votes.

Here is what I can do immediately upon CNO election:

* I can IMMEDIATELY opensource the original XRamPool source code. It has lots of problems (no orphan block detection, crashing, double payments occasionally), but I am sure with collaborative development, the community could help me patch it up. There is no getwork support, however, so I (or someone else) would have to port the YAM miner to it... supporting the getwork protocol in my code for that pool would be difficult.

Down the road however (should not take me too much longer than a month, but it will be worth it),

* I am already in production of a newer, more efficient server in a different programming language. This, too, will be opensourced, and it will support Getwork and any other protocols needed. It would be the code used for the distributed pool system.

Thoughts?
2 thumbs up :)
Sounds like a great plan and a great service

This may be a silly comment, but you will need a narrator voice too I think...

... and no, I am not suggesting myself :)
Yep, plenty of Fiverr gigs for that :)

I used the generic YAM version as none of the others seemed to be the correct one for the Richland AMD CPU.
I do have the cfg in the same folder.
I can't even get it to run at all it just opens and closes.  I have no idea what is messed up here.  I don't have any issues running any other command line mining software.
This one has me stumped.
I have been perusing the other thread that was mentioned to try and see if I can figure out what I am doing wrong as well.
Frustrating as I know this would boost my performance over mc2.
I cannot even get it to run in finetune mode either.
I'll leave this one to yvg1900 as I don't really know which miner should be downloaded for AMD (generic does sound like the logical choice though).
Also, are you running it from the command line or a batch file?
You could try to see what the error is either by adding "pause" to the batch file or simply running it from the command line and checking the printouts.
