We could add an entry here :

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptocurrencies

Edit : Or maybe not, MMC is not famous enough yet, we need more "press" coverage.
It's not famous enough yet. It will be deleted very quickly.
Press coverage - I'm working on it... A lot of them want "bounties" for articles which is more like a paid advertising, but what the heck.. We have to be there :)

There are 2 giveaways (I know of) at the moment:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=422417
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=404762
Actually, these are old ones.
We have 2 newer ones. But I'm closing 1 of them now.
I'll open a new one for the weekend.

MemoryCoin is listed under dead here, but this list should be revised to include MMC2.0:

Yep.. Already PMed him and wrote in the thread... He doesn't seem to maintain the list anymore now that we have a flood of new coins

Should we consider advertising on things like http://www.coinURL.com?
Nice...
I'll put some BTC to try it out using Google Analytics to see if it's worth our while.

Thanks!
Placed an ad there with 1000 clicks budget.
I will share the results when it ends.

Your CMO's budget is put to good use as you can see :)
Vote for me please:

Thanks!

Some updates:
It's been 2 weeks on the job and updates are in order, so:

1. Created a Twitter account (@memorycoinmmc2) which now has 44 followers, some of them are big and important ones (and the number is increasing every day). This is an extremely important tool to get noticed by crypto-coin media sites / bloggers + exchanges. (You can see our Twits and activity on http://memorycoin.org)

2. Created a press release to show some qualities of the coin. Already published on 4 sites, on the way to some more (takes time due to the heavy load of new alt coins...)

3. Talking to exchanges regarding addition of MemoryCoin. Same here - takes time due to the heavy load of new alt-coins

4. Created some graphical assets anyone can use freely on MemoryCoin related websites (can be downloaded via the website)

5. Talking to charities so they'll create an MVTEcha address (or a simple MMC address if it's too complicated for them) and accept MMCs directly (1 already joined, another on the way)

6. Created an eBay sale of "MemoryCoin Mining Contract" to get some cheap advertising for the coin and increase awareness (the idea behind it is that no one would actually buy it, but people would start checking what this coin is if they're looking for Litecoin / Dogecoin / Bitcoin etc.)

7. Created 4 big giveaways (on bitcointalk) to increase the MemoryCoin wallet downloads (using Google Analytics showed it to be an extremely useful way to get people to download the wallet)

8. Pump MemoryCoin on other coin's forums + Freetrade's investment guide which proved to be great to increase demand a bit on Bter.

9. Starting to use Reddit and HackerNews to get more attention to the coin

10. Working on something interesting suggested by MaxPWR. Longshot, but could prove to be a massive thing if succeeds.

I'm open to any ideas from anyone here.

Thank you for your votes!

Add replies requesting MemoryCoin
He will definitely read it here as this wiki is their new baby

Nice - thanks.

Is there any decrease in overall performance if you cpu mine while gpu mining? I've never really checked...
I haven't checked as well.
I think there will be a very small and probably insignificant decrease in both since the GPU miner still needs some CPU computations to be done.

The problem with Bter is that it doesn't feel trustworthy - their charts don't work, deposits and withdrawals are slow, common wisdom is that their tech support doesn't answer emails, the site just lacks polish...

Ethical question: would it be a bad idea to simply pay Cryptsy to list MMC? Surely a few thousand MMC would be incentive enough for BigVern to fast-track us over at Cryptsy. I'd love to see a discussion on this.

DOGE/LTC    Dogecoin    24h Volume: 41214 LTC
DOGE/BTC    Dogecoin    24h Volume: 17082 BTC

I think that partially answers your question...
They have a massive volume on Doge right now and it looks like what they're doing right now is chasing their own tails on fixing all the bugs and slowdowns surrounding the existing markets.
I also believe they are highly understaffed and thus everything goes slowly there...
A few thousand dollars tip won't really budge them as they are making that in half a day on Doge alone...
I believe we'll have to wait for them to settle down and stabilize their system and only then they will start adding more pairs.
Anyway, I'm not lowering the pressure in many channels and hopefully we'll be added in the next batch of alt-coins.

Very good idea.
Hopefully we can make an accurate CPU mining profit calculator out of this data and convince more CPU miners to join the game:
See if this helps:

I think the only upside to crypsy is that having more than one exchange contribute much better to a rally.

During rallies there is alot of arbitrage occurring causing prices to skyrocket.
Cryptsy would also bring the coin to the attention of a lot of new users who haven't heard of / didn't look into it before.
This in turn would increase demand which would increase the overall value.

Very nice :)
Please PM me if you're interested in a "job" :)

Thanks

BTCGeek's article about DACs (part II) - mentions MemoryCoin in a very positive and convincing way.
Please support this article so we can get more exposure on HackerNews.
https://news.ycombinator.com/submitted?id=sidko
It's called "Dawn of Autonomous Corporations Powered by Bitcoin: Part-2 (btcgeek.com)" and should be on top.
Please click the arrow next to the number and discuss if you please.
The more exposure this article has, the better for everyone.

While you're at it, please do the same for our submission(s)

Thanks for your support!
