Thank you all for the huge support and vote of confidence!
I will get right on it and if you don't like what I do, it will take you up to 2 hours to kick me out. :)

Ok people,
Belltown has just been chosen again.
Is that really what you want?
Since it's 12:45am in here I'm done for the night and hopefully will wake up in a few hours to a nice surprise.

WAKE UP CALL TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVEN'T VOTED YET: vote for a candidate that really wants to do something for the coin.

Hi guys and gals,
Please answer this poll to help the new CMO (hopefully myself) understand where the community wants the most focus in the next few days.

Thanks

That about sums up everything I thought about your performance in this role...
You've made a site that is about 30 minutes work, thanks to being first you've made more than 5-6k MMCs out of it and now your greed doesn't end and you want an additional 1k MMCs? What for exactly? What's the benefit of this site?
Already bought a domain and will recreate a similar site in about 3 minutes.

Thanks anyways.

Do you want to get voted with quotes like that? :P
Yes I do,
Like I said, greed isn't the best approach when you want this role.
I'm not motivated by greed. I want this coin to be successful.
I will consider the things I did while "at office" with "the office's funds" as part of "the office" and will hand them to my replacement as CMO.
I will definitely not sell them for extra profit.

Status report:
1) Created a Twitter account (@MemoryCoinMMC2) which might not be needed if the owner of @MemoryCoin transfers ownership later
2) Bought MemoryCoin2.info to continue Belltown' simple website and start developing it a bit more. Will host it on my own server so no additional fees will be incurred on the CMO wallet.
3) In talks with a few members that want to join the team.

Every ~2 hours there are new elections. No democracy offers that :)
Vote for the guy you think is best for the job and if he doesn't perform, drop the hammer at him right at the next elections.
Vote now, see profit later :)
Good luck

Hi Trankil,
Great to meet you.
It would be best if you give this account to the next elected CMO (or directly to the CEO which is great too).
If you want to join my team (in case I'm elected of course) please send me a PM with some details about yourself and your qualifications.

Thanks!

Already received 4 votes of confidence.
Thank you!
The last voter (not Luke or MegaFarmer), however has sent 10 satoshis which doesn't count as a vote. Please check that you've sent exactly 1 satoshi (0.00000001 or in words: 0 dot 7 zeros + 1) to the voting address.

Thank you very much for your support!

MemoryCoin / [CMO] My Candidacy for CMO as a Team Leader
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:16:47 pm »
Dear MMC2 community,
I would like to offer myself as a team leader for the CMO role.
As it's been almost a month since the coin's release, I believe the CMO role was held long enough by people that haven't done enough to MARKET the coin correctly.

Who am I?
I'm a 35 year old entrepreneur from Israel.
From 2005 to 2011 I was the CEO of a successful mobile games company and for the last 2.5 years I've managed my own successful mobile apps company.

What will I do differently?
There is no question that the biggest failure of this coin is its marketing.
While Belltown's work on memorycoin.info is great, I really see this as the first very small step towards marketing the coin.
I will use the salary for this role to:
1. Recruit a team with marketing background
2. Create bounties for reputable bloggers, graphic designers and other media related personnel to help level-up the coin.
3. When the time comes, use the grant for actual advertising withing the crypto-currency community (we're not there yet, but might be there in 2-3 months).
4. Use my mobile industry experience to create some useful MMC2 apps that will distinguish us from the other crypto-currencies.
5. Create giveaways and faucets and publish them on forums so that more users download the wallet and join the community.
6. I will not, under any circumstance take the whole salary for myself claiming I worked hard for it. This salary should be divided between several members / outsourced for marketing purposes and earned through hard work and that's exactly what I intend to do.

How do you join the effort?
PM me with your experience, skills and plans for the coin and we can discuss your addition to the marketing team.
Note that since the funds are used to fund MARKETING of the campaign, I will not add more than 2 other team members so that the remainder of the funds will be used for all of the above mentioned actions.

How do I vote?
Voting is easy: Send 1 satoshi (0.00000001) MMC to MVTEcmodH7do4V47ht1U9AXQKMouqYNAYM

Thank you for your time and good luck to this coin!
In the right hands it should see a bright future.

Really what needs to happen is people need to do the work first, then announce their candidacy attached to the work they've already done proving they are worth the time and money.

This is not a perfect system, but it's much better than what results here which is people arguing over what they would do when really it would be better if all them just did it and then based on their results were voted on by the community.  Paying people in advance, constantly, 24hrs a day means that the person either has to perform IMMEDIATELY upon taking the role or risk someone else coming along and making bigger promises.

Neither one has delivered so reality doesn't matter, the bigger promise from the more convincing person should win.   Unfortunately picking candidates based on big promises paid for in advance isn't very ideal.  Would be better if there were daily or weekly awards going to specific objectives that could then be voted on, so instead of CMO it would be "10,000MMC to whoever is most successful at promoting MMC this week" with that many coins maturing every week.   Then everybody who wants a chance at the prize actually does work for the project, and the community rewards the most effective.

I totally agree with that.
The current system, as we've seen especially in the CMO role, is flawed.
But there isn't much that can be done now (unless there are plans for MMC3...?) other than HOPING you are voting for someone that would actually perform.
Also, I hope that more people in the community will vote as it seems only a handful of people really care...
When that happens, the hammer will hit very quickly on the non-performing head.
As you say, it's not ideal, but still, that is the situation and we have to make the best out of it.

Who are you for tell how much value my work, and work of another people ?
I'm part of the community who votes for my preferred candidate.

I don't come to your boss and tell to pay you more cheap.
True, and in case you didn't notice, the community is your "boss" and thus if the community decides you are getting paid too much, as they did, nothing can be done against it other than doing what is expected of you - recruiting a team and using the CNO salary to create more CNO-related features which will increase the value of the coin.

FreeTrade, emre & s4l1h, belltown and seraphim it's a really good staff, good synergies, and working togheter very well. You and Newmine don't have reason to crash it. Onlyone reason is to destroy the coin.
So all I want is to destroy the coin? Funny... I have almost 10k MMCs so believe me, I want this coin to succeed and by being the new CMO I promise to do my best to make it happen.

This is my cent.
Indeed...

In MMC, you have a right to vote for whoever you would like to.

I suggest creating a team to handle the CMO position. $360 a day is too much for one person.

i.e. One team consisting of: Website management, Website coder, Website support, Technical Support, Central Affairs, Board Meeting Advisor, etc.
CMO is too generic of a position, and very easy to get a free lunch.

Seems like FreeTrade is looking for someone who can provide some of the above and/or more - or possibly more effort than belltown to win his vote over.

Being paid by the blockchain is absurd if you're really not putting quality work
Think of this : you do four hours of work per day to get $90 per hour. That is completely incredible to pull off.
I suggest to spoil your votes if you feel the candidate or candidates are not doing their job well enough.

That 360$ is going to be about 20$ in a few days by
the looks of it. No one will care about these positions.
Why are you saying that?
I think it depends on us and how we develop and market this coin.
It could be $20 and it could be $1000. A lot of it depends on (among other things) the management TEAMS of this coin and their motivation and actions.
Let's hope that the value will be so high there will be a lot more candidates for all positions.
