Yes, it's me.
Free publicity - just like I did on eBay.
No one will buy it but people will start looking into it.
As for the poll - It could be a good idea if we recruit the community to vote for it.
We'll get to all of these places, don't worry.
Takes time and patience, but we'll be there.

For escrow service, I found a new auction site - cryptothrift. I have no information about this site but their alexa rating seems okay.
However, MemoryCoin is not supported on their coins yet. Well, if I get enough sales with Bitcoin, I can make some pressure there! :)

I just listed 0.5 gram bars for now.
Already contacted them a week ago.
We will probably be in the next poll.

Thanks for the intro!
It's a very good cause and I'm sure our charity officer will give you MMCs directly to your wallet.
We really hope you'll use it to help these poor animals.

Good luck!

Another charity is accepting MMCs directly:
http://savegreyhound.hol.es/

I'll ask the CEO of this charity to write a short intro here.

EDIT: As you can see on their homepage, their wallet address is NOT VOTABLE. MJBAPCsB5H5YC6S8n7oR2im5SQPdc6bqyB

For the next version, I think we should have 2 options for the mining:
Full power (100% CPU) and Mid power (50% CPU)
Or even better - A slider to select Computer Performance vs. Profit.
It's still easily set by the "simple" user but gives him more control.
This way we might gain many users that can use the miners all day long while working on their home / work computers.

MemoryCoin / Re: When did we get a Newb Guide on memorycoin.org?
« on: January 27, 2014, 06:15:35 pm »
Nah, I wrote the newbie guide around 9th of Jan - updated it right now to reflect the changes in the client since then.

Yesterday was about an advanced mining guide, still hoping for someone else volunteering to get paid for that, but when nothing happens in the next week or so I'll do it myself.
Take yvg's readme.txt and translate it from Geeklish to English :)
That should cover 80%

HOLD THAT THOUGHT!
Don't sell it yet.
I believe that by tomorrow I'll have at least 2 more charities with MMC wallets.

When did this appear?

http://memorycoin.org/newbie-guide/

Who's running memorycoin.org, mmcwiki.com, mmc-chain.com, etc?

Let's get a "hierarchy" of sites and content assigned, so we can organize what officer's maintaining what, focus on what sites to add what content to, etc...
The guide was written by Seraphim (or his team)

Openex lists MMC/BTC also however that exchange have just about no volume.

Definitely need Coinedup/Cryptsy or both added urgently to get exposure.
I agree. That's why I want it to be added to more exchanges, as it will increase the interest in the coin which will increase demand.

Also, Coinex.pw has become an excellent and very big exchange.

I'm up for offering some ideas for economic parts, reviewing overall script.

I could see animation like the UPS whiteboard commercials.

But..do we even know what / how MMC is different? what would we advertise in the video?

Let's get a reddit thread or something to collect donations as a "grand prize" and suggestions for ideas / firms to volunteer.

And itsik, where's your dmo / dma deputies?  I volunteer for a deputy marketing officer role :)
I agree that we need to find a way to explain how the coin is different.
I think we can all agree about the 3 key points the coin is different:

1. Efficient CPU algo
2. Paid management team that will always be devoted to push the coin forward (+ voting feature)
3. 1% charity
4. Can be adopted by "regular" people (or should we call it "1st coiners").

(We can also add points about the unique wallet allowing easy mining and voting)

If you (or anyonse else) have more ideas I'd like to hear them
I'd be glad to get your paid help on setting up a good transcript for that :)
I saw some nice Fiverr gigs that could produce a nice animated video that would get more attention.

Please PM me (or write here - whichever you prefer).

Thanks

Ive opened discussion with coinedup admin/owner directly.

Posting add this or that coin in forums isn't personal enough and easily ignored.
I agree,
I meant emails and PMs, not forums

I've contacted all exchanges.
They are flooded with "add me" (or "add what I mined yesterday" :) ) requests.
They won't easily reply.
Seeing it from their POV, as I said, they want coins with big volumes so I'm trying to show them that there is a nice volume building up on Bter.

I think we should favour charities accepting MMC directly. I know there are two already - Spices and peace geeks. Both seem to be really good causes.
I don't think we should be trying to guess market timing with charity funds. Maybe you could donate the MMC to these charities and CMO could write an article about what's being done with the funds
+1
I'm working on Sean Outpost as well... As they have pending funds.
He already replied to my email twice but it seems like they're not into free donations  :-\
Very strange people.

Anyway, I'll try a different approach with some charities - The vanity gen approach is way too complicated for them, so I'll just ask them to download the wallet and send me the address...
This should work better

Bump, anyone buying?
PMing you
Actually you might be better off selling on Bter since there's a buy request for 3 BTC now.
Check it
