Muse/SoundDAC / Re: July 2017 Update
« on: July 29, 2017, 01:54:13 pm »
When I copy/paste the AGS donation address private key into the Muse web wallet nothing happens. The only option is to click the green "Cancel" button. What am I missing?

What wallet did you use for donation? I have the same problem with Multibit wallet.

Muse/SoundDAC / Streaming Music is Ripping You Off

If you subscribe to a subscription music service such as Spotify or Apple Music you probably pay $10 a month. And if you are like most people, you probably do so believing your money goes to the artists you listen to. Unfortunately, you are wrong.

The reality is only some of your money is paid to the artists you listen to. The rest of your money (and it’s probably most of your money) goes somewhere else. That “somewhere else” is decided by a small group of subscribers who have gained control over your money thanks to a mathematical flaw in how artist royalties are calculated. This flaw cheats real artists with real fans, rewards fake artists with no fans, and perhaps worst of all communicates to most streaming music subscribers a simple, awful, message: Your choices don’t count, and you don’t matter.

Peer Tracks: Your choices  count, and you matter :) Full article here : https://medium.com/cuepoint/streaming-music-is-ripping-you-off-61dc501e7f94

Keep Peertraks completely free no limited account, for regular user and artist.

regular- could stream for free. If they want to buy artistcoins, Peertraks could charge a small fee that could vary depending on the amount they deposit. For example, you deposit 20 $ there is a 3% transaction fee. for 100$ 2%, 1000$ 1% 2000 more no fee

artists- they could choose themselves to pay a small amount for each artistcoin sold, and for each album sold on the site. It is optional if they don't wanna pay nothing so be it this is very good publicity on the same time.

The site should have a tonne of statistics: wich artist is on demand, most streams etc. all for free no premium paid needed. This should be free forever and for at least 1 year there should be free of visual adds. Later visual ads could be included. The more user the more data a lot of way to make money with all the data collected.

A interesting article  that shows all the problems that PeerTracks solves except nobody know yet about PeerTracks.

The biggest message out of the report is just the lack of technology adoption for the back end of the music industry," Berklee's Bargfrede says. "Streaming is now becoming the dominant method of music consumption. We need to figure out how to work with the streaming services in a way that makes sense to creators."

More specifically, the report calls for an industry-standard format for up-to-date information about the various types of music revenues, so artists could in effect monitor their royalties online the way consumers track their bank accounts. The authors also propose creating "a decentralized, feasible" database of global copyright ownership details.

9.  Please observe the complete series of announcements we make this summer before you judge our commitment to BitShares success.  :)

Thanks for your post Stan. For the record I have never questioned your devotion to BitShares success.

The I3 team has a weakness in the PR department, and have made a few bad decisions IMO. I don't expect perfection, but the same type of mistakes are being repeated. It would instill more confidence if we would see an acknowledgement and that steps are being taken to correct them, but I don't expect that's going to happen.

The project is extremely challenging to manage, I recognize that. All I can do is offer my personal perspective. What you do with it is your choice. The collective voice of the community will indicate whether you have chosen well, if you are able to hear it.

It's not clear to me that I3 values or respects the voice of the community, based on the lack of discussion on important topics prior to asserting a position. That's not always the case tho. I recall a tremendous amount of discussion and debate concerning the merger back in Nov. before it was final. You and BM were quite active in the discussions.

Regarding the current 2.0 roll out I see it as a mixed bag. It doesn't seem as well thought out as I thought it would be. Being thought out is not the same thing as having every last detail settled and decided, but it does mean that the majority of the uncertainties are at least identified. I would like to see a more systematic approach to what is settled and what remains to be settled, in an organized, prioritized format. You know, like engineers like to do. Well, most engineers anyway.

It's an over-constrained problem requiring the balancing of many, many factors.
When you do such tradeoffs no single "design parameter" can be maximized.

Those who don't live this 24x7 often point out where individual parameters are not maximized.
We look at where we are as pretty near optimum given everything that had to be balanced.

And its going to be a great summer!

Announcement 2 is coming up tomorrow.   :)

Really ?? I would wait for any announcement, until this forum drama  created by this Newmine clown dies down.
I'm impressed how many forum member fall for Newmine crap again and again, for some reason all of the sudden all his crap is finding unexpected support, luckily only  few forum members tend to agree with his nonsense . For  starter he never answer to any replay to his fuding  he just put up some FUD and he's laughing his ass off watching the forum unfold. It is amazing with one line comment  he managed  to drop atomic bombs all over and completely turn upside down the community   Ohh wait if you respond to his stupidities then his favorite answer to that is :  you are just fanboy blinded by bytemaster manipulations that's it. Attacking is the best defense and he know that very well.
He even dare to say that he's not fuding .... the reality is that  besides a few good funny posts  in the past he's basically just making fun of this forum that's all !! What amaze me the most he got the balls to pretend he got skin in the game ..what a joke !! So my  point this is no time for good news,  it will be wasted in this negative vibe that is happening right now. In fact I don't think this community deserves any good news right now !!!!

hello @oco101 thank you,

And I truly hope as well to b able to launch this very soon within a few months is what I hope is all it takes.

Still having an issue with bitcoin transfer?

No issue with Ccedk :) Everything is good !!

I don't know but if the NanoCard will work with Smartcoins this is majors news!!!  For the first time, you could see a real life example on how you could use bitAssets. This is one very easy to understand  example for everybody to see why bitAssets are so much superior to whatever else  it is out there Bitcoin included. Say that you want to load your credit card with bitUSD, bitGold or bitSilver well now you could do so now with MasterCard NanoCard !!! I truly hope this will work out as planned, and hope Bitshare community will give you the support you need to make this reality. Great work Ronny Boesing and welcome to the community.
Waiting  for my bitcoin transfer to order my NanoCard !!!

Hello,
I'm a shareholder of the BitShares crypto-ecosystem and I would like to discuss the mutually beneficial relationship that is possible between BitShares and Vaultoro. There is a thread on the bitshares talk forum here: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,16724.msg214074.html

I have CC'd fabian@bitshares.org (one of the 101 elected delegates of the BitShares ecosystem) in case of technical questions.

A PDF info-graphic for a quick overview of BitShares is available at https://pdf.yt/d/atDhSKTY2mwequs0

Could you please direct us to the relevant people to discuss the technicalities?

The BitShares ecosystem is a decentralized asset exchange that allows user to issue their own assets. These assets can be traded in seconds, and allow the user to retain sole control of the private keys. The issuer of these UIAs (User Issued Assets) collect all fees generated, and can set KYC requirements limiting who can hold it.
Vaultoro could issue such an UIA to enable your company to access BitShares users as potential customers and profit from every trade of your UIA.
Existing Vaultoro customers would benefit by being able to hold their claims to Vaultoro gold on a decentralized platform where only they hold the private keys.

Another aspect of the BitShares ecosystem that Vaultoro could benefit from are the Market Pegged Assets. These are assets that track the value of real world assets such as USD, CYN, Gold and Silver but are not subject to any counterparty risk, and are backed by over 100% collateral.

Vaultoro could allow their customers exposure to bitSilver to test the demand before committing to purchasing more bank vaults and physical silver.

Vaultoro could accept bitGold in exchange for Vaultoro Gold.
The value of Vaultoro gold can then be exposed to the BitShares decentralized market to be traded. This brings another price finding mechanism to value Vaultoro gold against assets such as bitcoin, USD, CNY, Gold and Silver.
Accepting bitGold for physical delivery of gold would open Vaultoro up to an entire new market and provide a convenient gateway from crypto to physical assets. As gold dealers are subject to far less regulation than traditional banks this gives Vaultoro a significant advantage.

We look forward to hearing from you,
Thank you

Very nice +1
