I had simple plan when I started margin trading, in case of margin call I could always sell some of my other crypto and buy bitUSD and repay the debt.
What I didn't realise that when it came to it that nobody wanted to sell their bitUSD in the BTS falling market.

Well it is clear enough to me that at present smart-coins are not working as intended  due to low liquidity as nobody wishes to create/sell  new ones in falling market.
I don't know if bitcrab proposal will fix it but it won't cause any harm so we should try it unless someone else comes with better proposal.
Thanks to bitcrab for putting proposal and starting convo as it was needed.

Kind Regards
aloha

Hi Coin Boy,

Yes you will need to have BTC first or some other coin which is tradable on DEX.
Service which I use to buy BTC is uphold.com but there are other ways like localbitcoins.com

Good luck  :)

What is the latest feedback on this?  Positive, negative, no impact?  This was an important experiment as I believe all BitAssets should have the same parameters.  New traders will expect this and may become frustrated not knowing BitAssets all have different settlement parameters.

I would like to know as well. So far fav doesn't like it  :)
but much more bitCNY was created which is good.
So I guess it would be nice to hear from bitcrab

Hi Aloha,

There is no reason I should receive such a huge tip from you private.
I have kept 10$, thank you very much.

Hi Alt,

Thank you for your response.
I have never heard anybody saying that you are bad guy rather opposite is true.
Have to admit that I don't understand problem with the price of silver but it is obviously something that is important to you.

Is there anything that could be done to fix this for you?
I have transferred  some bitusd to your baozi account just as a sign of appreciation for all that you have done for this community.

Aloha  :)

Hi Alt,

That amount was for all those years of your contribution which is not nearly enough  if you ask me but I understand your decision.
You have my respect and admiration.

Aloha  :)

thanks for the kind words.
I'm just tired to be the bad guy here.
I am very disapoint about the BSIP18 fork.
they make the price of SILVER almost 4X, it's the worsest accident in Bitshares.
but the share holder think this is right.

btsbots.com will not support the fork because of the unreasonable trade logic.

so if this fork happened, btsbots will stop all service for Bitshares.
include feed price source and trade bots etc.

Hi alt,

You are one of the oldest and most respected members of BTS but it appears that something made you upset. I have never used your bot but have heard a lot of praises from other community members. Your contribution to BTS is well known and recorded in the history of this forum. Early days Toast used to call you best  bug slasher or something like that  :).
You are one of the early BTS heroes who stayed  with BTS through good times and bad times and you just kept contributing.
Your bot brought us much needed liquidity during hard and good times and started becoming much needed and used tool by the community.

That is why I was surprised  to hear that you are stoping use of your bot quite suddenly.
I am writing to you this post in the hope that you will  at least explain in bit more details why did you make your decision.
But in the same if you don't wish to respond that is fine and your right.

In any case thank you for all your contribution to the community  so far and hope it continues in the future.

Aloha  :)

Hi everyone, I am new to BTS and this group.

As of yesterday I opened a BTS Wallet and transferred some BTC into the wallet. My wallet shows that it has 449 BTS. I read in the other post about just holding onto the BTS and not trading. This is what I was wondering about. If a person just wants to own BTS they can just leave it in their wallet correct? without having to do any trading? So as the price of BTS moves so would the value of your total BTS?
Welcome coinjar
Yes one of the options is just to keep your BTS coins in your wallet and enjoy while they grow in value against USD and other fiat  :)

Hello
I have one question, I am new here, I have not yet registered or created a wallet, I'm interested in one when I pay $ 100 and I buy bts whether it is possible to simply not trade, but to wait for the course I bought to grow like a bitcoin, then I pick up a profit which I will do.
Thanks for your reply
Welcome to BTS Coin Boy,
So you wish just to buy BTS and not trade. Yes,  it is possible as many of us here are not traders but simply HODLERS as you wish to be.
Easiest way would be to buy BTC first and then transfer it to your BTS wallet. After that you can just follow instruction which I have given to jszorady/ Jim.
Good luck  :)

Go to Exchange in your BTS wallet,
then choose OPEN.BTC/BTS market,
then go to BUY BTS  and place your bid to buy BTS

I remember that CoinHoarder use to be supporter of BTS.
What happened?   :)

When somebody starts new coin on BTSDEX they sometimes "sharedrop" or gift  coins to the BTS holders.
I guess ARCOIN is one of those. You will be receiving more gift coins in the future from others as well.

It looks like increase in Force settlement offset to 5% in BITCNY/BTS pair has been working as intended.
Good call bitcrab
