General Discussion / Re: Ethereum - better than Bitshares?
« on: March 18, 2014, 02:39:53 am »
doesnt make any sense. Why would any rational person give them money if there is no good ROI? The only exception would be intransparency (people not seing trhough it; hype is enough). Or people think ethereum is of higher value for the community and donate for idialistic reasons. But I dont think any of these reasons wuold be sufficient...
Their answer is that they expect the demand to grow exponentially (vs the linear growth in supply), therefore it should still offer a good ROI for investors.

Because mining!

Toast I can see you pacing out BM in terms of forum posts per second which is great. But what did you wana say?

If you meant mining is a habit and thought pattern the bitcoin community / ethereum guys keep. I think this is unlikely. They are not dumb...

I think Ethereum will generate revenue by selling dedicated mining hardware, amongst others.
That would be hilarious because I heard Charles Hoskinson say that they are seeking a mining algorithm which decentralize the hardware sales as much as possible.

So when is the new ETA of Bitshares X now?

Here is a thread that has identified a means for miners to mine BTS:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=3587.msg45111#msg45111

The reality is that people can mine anything and trade it for PTS.   Miners should always mine what is most profitable so they can maximize their ROI.

That said it seems like we could benefit everyone by converting PTS to TaPOS and then allowing those who want to invest by mining to mine one of the other coins out there... NoirShares, DOGE, etc and then buy PTS on BTER.   In fact, making such a move would increase the value of PTS in the long term by 30%.

What would everyone think about such an idea?
How do you come up with a 30% increase in the long term?

Edit : OK I get it. No more PTS would be create.
So... I  think you should do that  :D

And Satoshi show us that funding is not mandatory to make great things!

Satoshi was funded by the NSA
Yeah... and the NSA is controled by the Illuminatis who are actually a bunch of Annunakis.

Any updates?thanks.

I have spent the past couple of days refactoring the code and preparing a much more robust testing environment for unit tests.
Will it be ready for the Ides of March?

I don't know where he stands exactly within the Bitcoin community, but I have heard Trace Mayer says very clever and inspiring things.

Keyhotee / Re: Keyhotee Founder ID Registration Process
« on: February 28, 2014, 09:15:38 pm »
I registered my identity in January but for some reason Keyhotee don't working anymore on my PC.

So I have install Keyhotee on another PC, I rewrite all the stuff (First/Middle/Last Name, Passport #, License #) but now it's seem that I have to re-register my identity. The problem is that I lost the Founder Code. What can I do?
Email me (dan at syncad com) using the email address you originally used to get your Founder ID, along with your Founder ID itself, and I can lookup your Founder Code and reply back to you.
Nevermind I manage to recover my first account registration but the new problem is that I got "Unregistred or failed to reach server".

My founder ID: vito
My Public Key: 6dCZpE8UvwxUiSzuXshYCLaXn6efvUHAi7oSTnFgoWYK2eqn9B
Looks like you submitted to our web form with this public key: 6UgGAhVrUpDytPikub6hiB9MqYGapxVM3m2XZ7C314KcoxYu6X
If you want to update to the new public key, please fill out the web form again with your new info. I'll be updating the server again tonight from the latest webform submissions. Check your email for your founder code, I sent it to you about 5 or 10 minutes ago.
I don't know why the two public key are different. All I know is that when I had reinstall Keyhotee my vito account had associate the public key 6dCZpE8UvwxUiSzuXshYCLaXn6efvUHAi7oSTnFgoWYK2eqn9B.

Is the "Unregistred or failed to reach server" means there is a problem or can I fill out the web form with that public key and be OK?
The public key changing means you must have entered some slightly different info when you recreated your profile. This could be something as subtle as using different capitalization for your first and last name in the profile.

If you fill out web form with your new public key, you'll be fine.

Only thing I recommend is that you be sure you can re-create your profile on another machine, just in case you ever lost your data on this one. That means, make sure you know exactly what you typed for first, middle, last name, your brainwallet key, and your password. You can verify you've recreated successfully by checking that the new public key you get when creating vito identity matches the one have now.
I checked that. And I have fill out and send the form.

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: /r/BitShares Subreddit
« on: February 19, 2014, 08:39:07 am »
I did a quick search on bitcointalk.org to see if the 28th feb snapshot was announced. Most recent thread on there is this thread where everyone agrees that PTS/AGS is shady business. People seem incredibly hostile to things they don't understand, which is unfortunate, but a fact we have to deal with.
I noted that too, on BTT people seems not really care about Bitshares. They aways list Etherium, NXT, MSC or XCP but always forget Bitshares. They don't even seem aware of it.

194
It seems that the market loves the decision you made!  :)

195
I am happy with that decision because I think it add clarity.

But I do think it can become a problem if you keep changing the rule of the game. You should make some kind of declaration on what rules are set in stone and which one are susceptible to change so the investors have visibility.
