MemoryCoin / Re: [CHA] Horizontality.org French
« on: January 14, 2014, 02:05:57 am »
Thanks MaxPWR for the google translation.

Here is the page they set up for thanking us :
http://horizontality.org/espoirhorizontal/crypto/
and guess what it's in English !
So they are the first one to recognize MemoryCoin, so far for the others !

Buy the way, for those who have doubt, I was a member of the memorycoin 1.0 community,
and a trusted one if I may say, as I distributed a lots of coin on behalf of the revolution pool.

So please vote for this charity as it is very close to Memorycoin,
and it is more like teaching people how to fish rather than giving them the fish ( as would say our 42 friends the dolphins ;).
Not sure why they are thanking the community, you are seemingly one of the only people to have voted for them. They should be thanking you alone.

We need a usd/gbp/eur exchange in order to do that.

This. And to be honest, most of the people/organizations I talked to about accepting bitcoin looked at me like a cow. I don't want to imagine how in the world I would explain them how to accept/work with memorycoin.
Yeah its not really do-able, unfortunately.

Give it another couple of years.

Not too much of a big deal, still functional. Although well done for pointing it out I'm sure he will appreciate it

Yup, It's just a comment typo.  :)  It just makes it a little harder to understand the PoW function when reading the source.

the typo can affect how devs perceive the PoW
Not too hard to realize the mistake, I can't speak for every dev but I use comments to see what does what, and then I read the code to see the how.

Maybe too honest?
I do not like that kind of marketing but other coins probably start a giveaway to get people to vote or comment for them.
You should promote that voting feature better like, go to cryptsy, like, get a free coin and vote for CEO/CTO/etc

(also im still waiting for my 200$ bonus from super3 ^^)
I think that would bite us in the arse sooner or later

those other coins aren't good to measure against, they all bribe people for likes and comments with giveaways
Even so, we are unique, not just a rinse and repeat pump coin. We should still do better than them!

Got a txid for that?
As Sean's doesn't feel the need to mention us and the donation it's up to you to keep people informed and show them that (at least some of) the coins reached their destination.
Sean's didn't seem to enthusiastic, I'll try and dig it up but I withdrew directly from one of my accounts on btcjam which I don't have access to the private keys so may be a little hard. I'll do my best though

Your site allows to search an infinite number of top addresses, for example http://agran.net/mmc_getbalance.php?top=1000000

Which seemingly crashes your server, not a big issue but would be very easy to exploit

69, still need a lot more than that. We need 100s

Isaac,
Any status report on that?
It would be nice to report actual donations made...
From what I understand you still have 5200 MMCs accumulated for charity?
We don't have to use it on Sean's outpost if they aren't interested.
0.8 btc donated, or about 2000 MMC. Waiting for an appropriate time to sell the rest

To sum up my work, I collected around 2600 MMC and I'm currently trying to convince two of my favourite organizations to accept cryptos.  ;D

I'll keep you posted.
Try to convince them to accept MMCs, not BTC. It's really important for the growth of the coin.
I'm positive we'll find a large number of charities that will be willing to do so to receive ~$150 per day!
Good luck!
We need a usd/gbp/eur exchange in order to do that.

Not sure the service is still working. I noticed that chainbrowser doesn't show recent transactions correctly.

You are not relying on chainbrowser to implement this service, are you?
Nope, chainbrowser only shows inputs not outputs, plus the outputs come from a separate wallet.
Still running

And no, doesn't touch chainbrowser at all, all my own nodes.
