MemoryCoin / Re: Value of MMC Going down

I'm noticing a correlation between Freetrade not answering questions about his premine and price decreases.

I'm noticing a correlation between the jackal people wish to be on the staff (and maybe they still to dump the coin on the market) and price decreases.
I know, its ridiculous how much people are attacking him

After the one week s4l1h and I elected here is what happened:

- mmcvotes got huge updates. all transactions are being parsed in real time and webapp integrated to official client. source code available: https://github.com/emre/mmcvotes.com
- mmcfaucet.com opened up. (right now is empty,  I will fill it up in a couple of hours again) 384 transactions have been made successfully. source code available: https://github.com/emre/mmcfaucet
- s4l1h added lots of charts to http://s4l1h.github.io/mmc/.

what are working on right now, what will do next:
- I am on the process to setup 2 high performance churn vps nodes (eu and us) for the default node list of the client. we shouldn't need newcomers to change conf files or adding nodes manually from the wallet.
- s4l1h working on an exchange site. (mmc/btc/ltc)
- since I made already a tiny block explorer for the mmcvotes, I am planning to hack up a simle webapp to see address balances. current block explorer doesnt handle this proper. My initial idea was setting a new block explorer up but faSan is already working for another block explorer, so I will just make a simple app for just balances until the alternative explorer comes up.
- bet/dice site for mmc. I want to start something small, like a coinflip (you get 2x more or lose everything per round ) for experience. after that we plan to develop a betting system.
- documentation/api for creating web applications around mmc.

ideas

if you have any ideas on technical stuff or suggestions about mmc related projects, please shoot. :)
Betting system already has been made, I'm creating a web version of it soon too

You either need to provide a vouch item or reveal your identity publicly by sending proof of ID to a trusted member

I'm still not selling, wait for the trolls to leave (and hopefully cashout and then be happy. We will survive.

MemoryCoin / Re: Do We Need A New Logo?
« on: January 09, 2014, 04:01:34 pm »
On the complaint of resolution I will gladly convert it into a vector if necessary. As for do we need a new one, I don't think so. I think out of all the currencies ours is the best (possibly with the exception of PTS). I really dislike the version with the yellow ring. With logos the more simple the better, ours is very crisp, smooth and of course simple. No need to add more to it.

I agree, I doubt anyone is using the old memorycoin.

It doesn't matter what I say, this topic is never going to go away - I'm just not engaging with it anymore.

As for you NewMine, I think you're ideologically opposed to what we're trying to do here, and I don't trust you at all. You'll be back with another name in no time at all.

Thanks for the answer!
NewMine, you are not good for the currency, I know you do not realise this but none of the tools we have already would be here if not for the positions.

......thanks to being first you've made more than 5-6k MMCs out of it....

Thanks anyways.

Try more like 21k. http://www.chainbrowser.com/memorycoin/address/MVTEcmo2iUnZn5cHJ7SKrhLMwi7EGPfgnq/
That about sums up everything I thought about your performance in this role...
You've made a site that is about 30 minutes work, thanks to being first you've made more than 5-6k MMCs out of it and now your greed doesn't end and you want an additional 1k MMCs? What for exactly? What's the benefit of this site?
Already bought a domain and will recreate a similar site in about 3 minutes.

Thanks anyways.

Do you want to get voted with quotes like that? :P

This is a marketing position right? If it is, you need to stop the negativity and start pumping this baby! If you want votes, you have to play nice! Dont mess with making another website. Hit Reddit, bitcointalk, all the BTC article comment sections and pump pump pump. Tell them about the drama here with the voting and what not. Then post links to all you doings here or start a new thread somewhere. Market this coin.  Take all that negative energy, ball it up and store it somewhere deep inside of you.  ;D

What could go wrong
You could comment, apparently.

Because me bolding is far more troubling than people advocating "pump pump pump"
Theres a difference between pumping awareness and a pump and dump. People regularly pump bitcoin by having large discussions and telling people who don't know about it. That doesn't mean its a bad thing.

Adam, I don't think you understand how this works. You mention people getting paid 1000s of bitcoins a year assuming a price of 0.2btc each but by that point the payout will be far lower. Instead of trying to be productive you just moan on the forums without making any serious proposals.

Says a guy in one of the elected paid positions.

a huge +1 on that.

Says another guy in one of the elected paid positions.
I'm not in an elected position?
And I have contributed to this coin, all you have done is reduced confidence and moaned.

Why all worry about current price, price sometimes crash even for Bitcoin.
Keep doing good work, support users, grow community and in long term everybody wins.
This, we all need to work to make this coin worth something.

Adding MMC2 to other exchanges is beyond our control. Besides, it is not rational at this stage. If you check bter volume daily and compare this data with daily minted coins, you'll understand what I mean. In a market with low circulation, it is hard to name a price. According to my valuation, MMC is now worth 0,85 usd. Well, you may call me a dreamer but this is how trade works in real world. My valuation is inversely proportional to the general market price now and will always be until I see a significant circulation. This would take a day, a month or a year. I'll still be working for this community at that time.

In conclusion, adding value for MMC is the officers' duty, not the markets, especially with no fiat options.

Value is everyones job, we all need to create services etc to make this attractive.

Looking into this.

Graphics are already very good, we need to get onto the exchanges and then get bloggers in on it. That will create the interest needed.
