Do you have a web page or you want me to link to bitsharestalk topic?

I want to be clear that I will continue to run the site until the new buyer is found. www.MemoryCoin.info doesn't go down or anything.

I love this coin. I believe FreeTrade created something genius. I would love to find a buyer who cares about this coin as much as I do.

MemoryCoin / Re: Adam B Levine's concerns
« on: January 07, 2014, 08:22:20 pm »
Adam, I don't think you understand how this works. You mention people getting paid 1000s of bitcoins a year assuming a price of 0.2btc each but by that point the payout will be far lower. Instead of trying to be productive you just moan on the forums without making any serious proposals.

I provided a range with the pay at current prices relative to the pay at higher MMC prices.  Point was, it's a pretty good job considering you don't have to do anything because there is no way to quality control the work before you've paid the applicant in advance quite well.

And I did not talk about that in this thread, please try to stay on topic.  Here the questions are very clear - How many MMC did FreeTrade give himself in the Genesis block, how much is a month of his time working on a project that is close to his heart worth, and what would it cost for the community to secure his development services for a year.   As has been discussed before, the last time he abandoned a coin, you know, MemoryCoin 1, it was after being ousted by coinholders and the coin then died.   His stance about MemoryCoin 2 (thats the coin you've got now) is that he'll develop so long as he is the CEO and wants to.   If at any point for any reason he stops believing in the project, he'll think about leaving.

If you're comfortable with that kind of situation this seems like the coin for you.  Meanwhile, they are real questions that deserve real answers and I'm still waiting.
From what I have found by searching addresses freetrade has approx 80,000 MMC, not that unreasonable as far as I am concerned.

No applicants so far have elected just because of their promises, they have all done something already to deserve that position.

If you look at the price of any altcoin this seems to happen, start high, go low and then go even higher

The value in LTC at the moment is popularity and the size of the network/infrastructure. MMC is still only traded on BTER.
True, have you voted on Cryptsy yet?

You got me there. I don't have acct at Cryptsy, they are asking for WAY too much personal info.  8)
Who said it has to be real information? Thats being collected in advance for $ trading, if you don't want to do that then all your info can be fake.

MemoryCoin / Re: [Proposal] Bounty for next exchange to add MMC
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:57:36 am »
I don't think this is a good idea. Reputable exchanges will make their calculation based on other factors. Accepting a bounty to add a coin to their exchange will be viewed negatively by their customers, so it may even discourage uptake. Suggest this is cancelled.
Hmmm, I think I can see what you mean, I'll delete the thread

Isaac, how many MemoryCoin have you raised for Sean's Outpost so far?
5200 remaining I believe, only sold 800 so far.

We need to shift the mindset from "making money" to "creating value". Mining BTC/LTC/MMC won't matter unless there are good tools that make the coin readily available to the average Joe.

I was drawn to Memory Coin because I had the same exact idea, however a bit late, since it was already done.

Regardless, I am happy that it exists and I think there are many interesting opportunities.

I am a bit thorn about GPU mining making it challenging, and wish we could up the memory requirement to 8GB or even 16GB.

That said - until we start creating tools that have an EDGE over bitcoin, MMC will be just another coin.

I was thinking that creating an exchange that has no fees would be a good project. I.e. make an exchange that only converts BTC/LTC/MMC and has no fees. This will promote MMC, as well as put pressure on exchanges collecting 0.2% fees. It would attract people willing to trade BTC/LTC cheaper and raise awareness of MMC.

In fact I would say that MMC holders should invest and sponsor a project like that.

When/if that happens - MMC will really go to the moon, because we created VALUE.

So, again - adjust mentality to CREATING VALUE as opposed to MAKING MONEY.  8)
It seems to me we already have value, take a look at litecoin. Do they even have a webwallet?

Seems like Sean's didn't care a lot. Still no mention of MMC on their site.

Maybe the new charities bring some more attention to the coin by mentioning our support.
The charities he is thinking of seem to be USD based, I doubt we'll even get a hat tip from them.

I think he will care, when the market is right I will send a big donation, that will get some attention.

While I can't say anything about the amount of coins FreeTrade is holding, and what he is planning to do with them, I still disagree that the payout for the officers is too high. It is just a question what is being done for the money.
The high reward is thought as an incentive for people to get involved. While it could be enough (just for example) for a professional ad agency to apply as CMO this unfortunately didn't happen yet. But that's neither the fault of FreeTrade nor the other officers.

Compared to other alt coins, MMC already got a lot of infrastructure built around for the short time of its existence. Could be more with better candidates, but we wouldn't be where we are now without the grants.
I believe that FreeTrade thought there'd be a lot more competition for the offices. Seems like the reward is not high enough for professionals to get involved. Reducing the grants to 1/10th wouldn't make that situation better...
Initially a lot of coins are released, this slowly lowers until they are not earning many MMCs. At first it was needed, so that we can get the core infrastructure i.e pools, gambling, block exlporers etc and then it slopes off. In 2 weeks we have more than coins like quark have. Now we just need the value to follow.

FreeTrade previously stated he had no intention to create a testnet. Its not very necessary, just keep a small balance.
