Though this project is delayed for several reasons that are sometimes arguable in the views of some investors, I think once the bts is ready  , secured and efficiently designed, domino-effect would occur to every I3 DACs on the horizon. After the launch of Bitshare X , investors may see how fast their ROI can be as DACs would spring up like mushrooms . Patience is the key. The ideas are already in place. Implementation really takes time. But time is really important than anything else. Losing investments due to time constraints have great impacts on all businesses. This is the main reason why blockchain is being considered as alternative business model. It is FAST, efficient and most importantly DECENTRALIZED.

Sorry guys for missing this . But I want to know how much bitshare from the snapshot? Originally, it was 4 million shares. But as I saw the specs on the website, it is 8 million. What is the final number of shares for bitshare?

First, it doesn't really matter since all DACs transact in BIPs - as a billionth of the total shares in circulation.

Second, since it doesn't really matter, we thought we might as well go with a lucky number that our Chinese friends have recommended.

Hence the 8,000,000 shares = 1,000,000,000 BIPS.

That means, for XTS,
PTS holders get 500,000,000 BIPs and
AGS holders get 500,000,000 BIPs

A BIP will start out as 1/125 shares, but as dividends are paid by destroying shares this number will gradually erode.

This means if you start out holding, say, 1000 BIPS you'll watch that number grow as dividends are paid instantly every time a transaction takes place somewhere in the world and a grain of XTS dust is destroyed and split among all shareholders and delegate employees.

Computational efficiency and instant gratification are the bottom line.

ok let me break this down.

After Feb 28 snapshot

total coins /coins generated          percentage stake@bts
PTS -2,000,000 / 1,500,000   =                1.33
AGS -2,000,000/ 600,000 =                      3.33

If I have 20 AGS and applied the 4M cap scenario I will basically have 66.6 BTS

Now with related to 8,000,000 shares, how much value in BIPS if I have initially 66.6 BTS after snapshot?

Multiply by 125.

 +5%

...to the moon it will go  8)

The total market cap may be increase to accommodate small to medium investors but I think 400 million is too much . Maybe max will be 50 million. So that BTS may price around $5 to $8 /bts.

The only way market cap increases is if price rises on existing shares. You can't increase market cap by creating new shares.

Market Cap is the monetary value of all existing shares.

Float is the total number of shares. Or you know, you could just say "total number of shares".

Increasing the Float does not mean Market Cap will increase.

If a stock is worth $100 and you split it, it doesn't mean you just automaticity created 2 shares worth $100 each. You just created 2 shares worth $50 still maintaining the $100 value pre split.

The only thing it mostly like will do, raising the float, is possibly make BTS more liquid. Which in no way means it will be worth more.

yup I agree with you. BTS has already been allocated for  4million shares . By way of splitting its price per share thus making it liquid and affordable for small to medium investors.

Yes it is the only DAC so far been snapped shot.  And for that bitshare is so valuable and no need for airdrop .  But regards to DACs that are not yet spawned,  this is another story.  It will have a fair ground so to speak. Airdropping to bitcoin holders is also  another thing I oppose.

280
Any airdrop for remaining DACs will more than pay for itself. This will increase the market cap and your shares will be worth much more.

Now this suggestion is what make sense. To those DACs that has not been spawn from PTS/AGS. It can be done fairly.

281
Only two points my friend :

1. Do not make bitcoin holders have stake at bitshare with NO investment. Thus making bitcoin holders having privilege over bitshare. Bitshare X is on the horizon .  It is the place where to get bitshare after snapshot.

2. Airdropping is not the way to market this type of crypto currency. I value my bitshare more than any other.

282
Doing such poll will not alter the bitshare allocation via Feb 28 snapshot. Instead burn some BTC to have another snapshot at another DAC.  8)

283
Hence, the airdrop would bring more people in and immediately jump start this to a level that would be difficult for any imitator to surmount. I think it's brilliant.

Airdrop to what? bitcoin holders? NO WAY .  It is better to airdrop maybe at one of PTS/ AGS spawned crytocurrency. That way is a fair and people will have equal opportunity to invest in it.

284
PTS is the father of bitshare so to speak. It has been in the top 7 in  terms of market cap and popularity. What  is being marketed now is bitshare not as popular as PTS but definitely more profitable and promising.

285
Just a wild idea.  What would be the pros and cons of that?

Just ignore the airdrop thing and make more ideas of DACs. Bitshare has already been snapshot. To get/have bitshare is thru an exchange. Not as bounty for marketing. PTS is already doing that.
