General Discussion / Releasing, Testing or Airdropping ?
« on: April 12, 2014, 02:44:22 am »
Indeed I understand the ides of March has passed, NO release of bitshares xt. Security was the main focus of developers. As an investor and at times an app developer, debugging such software is a pain in the neck and needs a lot of time. But diverting from the main objective via another proposal such as Airdropping is a bit concerning. It worries me instead of focusing bitshare products, I3 has shifted the focus on Airdropping, which to me will d evaluate bitshare. Ides of April is next week . Still no sign of release, fortunately there was /is progress report. Time is of the essence and value of the product is at stake. Focus on products .

So let it be done.

As one of bitshare stockholder I hold my rights to reject this idea. A BIG no for me.

As a bitshare investor, I had to beat my ass  just to get my PTS/AGS for the Feb 28 snapshot . I believe with that alone would make bitshare VERY valuable.   Now here is a proposal of AIRDROPPING bitshares for bitcoin holders, I might say would lessen the value. Bitshare is the future when it comes to business perspective.

What will happen to the "airdropped" Bitshares onto the 1ANGELwQwWxMmbdaSWhWLqBEtPTkWb8uDc address that i3 owns?  They will not get any because we will restrict our airdrop to only wallets with balances of under 10BTC.  Anybody who has more that 10BTC in a single wallet will be seen as an oligarch, and no sympathy will be given to them (nor goodwill withdrawn from us) for not airdropping our new decentralized application on the wealthy 1%.

I REALLY DON'T sink in on this . Too skeptical .  >:( Im beginning to question the real motive behind  this AIRDROP.

Bitcoin??? I have some reservations regarding this idea. Now that a lot of investors donated their bitcoin to crowd fund AGS,  what is the point of giving stakes to bitcoin holders? Who ever owns the address 1ANGELwQwWxMmbdaSWhWLqBEtPTkWb8uDc which has currently more than 2000 btc, is the luckiest btc holder. No mining, No POS no difficulty?

General Discussion / Re: MaidSafe IPO on Mastercoin
« on: April 09, 2014, 02:03:31 am »
We talked with maidsafe today and will be using our Dns system and they will be consulting with us on the economics of their system.

In the end the mastercoin ipo will be insignificant compared to our partnership potential.

Now you are talking , this is what we are hoping for as investors.

Also consider the piggy-back riding nature of Mastercoin. If bitcoin dev have alter some attributes in its architecture, SafeCoin will be affected.

Now if this pushes through , a big blow for bitshare and I3 . MaidSafe may be a great partner. Well Mastercoin already has its exchange working for nearly a month. MaidSafe dev has confidence in them. This is really a challenge for I3 to come up with option to pursue and convince Maidsafe or still scrutinize and fine tune its product then seek another database-oriented DAC dev to be its partners.

Not yet time as toast mentioned . There are no viable product and service to be associated with the advertisement. Wait for the success of Bitshare X. Then launch a full-scale marketing and it would be domino effect for its successors in terms of success.

8000000 shares  would be a good ratio for profitable price.

Paging Bryan :) . Time to make some noise. Those coins mentioned in the article are just another altcoin. The promising services that bitshare have may be on the horizon, ready to have impacts on different businesses where DACs may fit perfectly.   8)

Just a thought with Game Host DAC, Will it be an effective salesman of in-game Gold or Premium items in a WoW MMORPG? Or dealing item inventories, characters' attributes , etc...

50 u% DNS+P2P for a variation of that old image someone made of blockchain forks. I can't find it right now after searching for a few minutes, it's around here somewhere.

Needs to have these blockchains:
* AGS+PTS
* DNS
  caption: proto-DAC in future crypto-equity backed by autonomous byzantine namespace resolution services
* P2P
  first DNS-derived namespace DAC, used for resolving .p2p TLDs.
* KEY/WEB
  example future DACs
* XT
  other example proto-DAC
* blob of X DACs

The relationship is

AGS/PTS
|-DNS
  |- P2P
  |- KEY
  |- WEB
|-XT
  |- ...

We will likely need to do a few iterations. If you can keep it layered/modular/easily editable in a program like GIMP (or any free alternative you propose) that would make me pay out much sooner.

Hey toast my man, I have made an infographic for Bitshare DNS based on your description (in Gimp format). whats your email address ?
