General Discussion / Re: 04.10 version
« on: August 31, 2014, 10:24:58 am »
My 0.4.10 GUI wallet run on Windows 7 32bit got crashed many times either with XP SP3 mode or normal mode.

I've sent the reports per the instruction appeared after the crash. What other information do I need to post here ?

Dele-puppy is up and running on 0.4.10. This release is not a mandatory upgrade, just big fixes, right?

It is mandatory because it fixes a market bug and switches to price feeds rather than moving average.

Does it mean that the delegates need to keep updating price feeds ?

for the past 10-15 mins the connection count was very stable at 7 connections. few if any new messages.

Just now its started going bananas again connecting and disconnecting rapidly  5-10 messages per second.

Code: [Select]

Be brave.
Try this command:

Luckily for me I am keeping a significant number of my BTSX on one of the exchanges. So I can make trades in a speedy manner. :) sellin at the top

Good for you! And I imagine most people do the same and that's why BTSX price keep falling...So unless we fix the bugs and have a stable client BitsharesX will continue to fall, which is fine for me since I can buy them cheaply but in order to do that I need to have at least a basic access to my wallet. I never keep any funds to any centralized exchange since if I wake up a nice morning and realize that the Chinese Government decided to close Bter or BTC38 I will be very sad...
So just and advice...Be careful with the trust you give to the exchanges because some things might be out of their control..

Yeah probably, but it's not the speculator's fault that it kept going down. Yes, you're right and I'm aware of that risk but at the current time I think BTSX is not in the Chinese government's radar. I could be wrong.

BTC=LTC=BTS=DOGE.....in the current law .....
If the government wants to kill BTC,all crypto would go down as well.
It's the same treatment.

The choice of name does not change what a thing is, and animal control agents are unlikely to shrug and walk away satisfied if one points to a pack of pit bulls frolicking on one's front lawn and declares, "Oh those?  No, they're just canines. These aren't the pit bulls you're looking for."

可以的,如果你要放在D盘的datadir文件夹下面,那在原有的快捷方式后面加上--data-dir "D:\datadir"

也就是:空格--data-dir空格"D:\datadir"

No offense, but I strongly suggest not launching new markets until we have a solid wallet.

If users demand new markets then launch. How are we supposed to maintain pegs and learn if we don't have markets like BitBTC at least? We need to be able to trade BitBTC <-> BitUSD above all else.

Most people don't even think in USD which might be part of what is wrong.

Lots of delegates are missing blocks. Users are suffering all kinds of weird issues. Developers are releasing new wallets every one or two days........ :-[

Anyway, if you guys have published the price feed or going to do so, please keep updating it. There is a python program that will help you do it automatically. https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7787.msg103061#msg103061

hm .. on the other thread you ask for price feeds for CNY!?

Not exactly, several hours ago I saw there were 46 delegates had published the price feed but not updated in time, some price were far different from the exchanges (bter, btc38). If we reached 51 delegates in that case, the median price for launching market may not be accurate. So I reminded them of that.

For those delegates who have published the BitCNY price feed, please update your fed price ASAP. We have reached 46 delegates now.

I can see some prices are not so reasonable.

You may try to use alt's program to update the price feed every time when the price moves up or down by 5% (make sure you have enough funds in your wallet).
