Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Worker Proposal] Cryptomate Listing
« on: May 31, 2019, 01:19:48 pm »
Price is listed for 1000 BTS.
Retweets are needed: https://twitter.com/Cryptomate/status/1133121889327636483

I've been speaking to their MD - we will have some promotions planned over the coming weeks.

They have included us in the 'big' list at the top, just below EOS.

Just had a look at it.
You can manipulate the voting by adding retweets from services.

An example https://www.redsocial.net/buy-twitter-retweets/
$12 for 1000 retweets = 20.000 Points. or $200 in crypto you would spend.

Please note the above is just an example of a service provider i haven't tested myself.

We are about there with the votes so need to avoid doing anything that would get us disqualified - no need for bots or paid retweets, their fee works out pretty fair.

It might be interesting to experiment with that service for some other tweets tho (i.e. general promotion ones) to see if it gains us more traction.

Bitshares can be bought on https://cryptomate.co.uk/buy-bitshares/ now via Bank transfer.
Awesome!

You can! Press release coming in the next few days ;)

Good for us to be increasing our presence at these things - who are the five attendees proposed for the Hackathon?

35
All,

Bench was previously looking for us to come first place and beat Steem. There is an additional requirement to get >200k votes so there is about another $1900 needed.

I just found some screenshots from voting last month and looks like Doge exceeded this 200k.

I'm not committee but happy to assist you with review / reading through as required.

Good initiative, hope to see it voted through

Basically to put in a WP to integrate BEOS with BTS. Yes it will have to be approved by the BTS community.

Is this the WP for the trustless bridge and if so is there a timeline for it?

Support!

I think this would be a positive and engaged addition to the Committee.

Love to see all the marketing you guys manage to pull off - if you can crowbar the word Bitshares into a few more of them then all the better ;)

Guys, this looks great.

It's a simple and clean looking interface...really impressed and a nice surprise to have pop up unexpectedly.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Worker] Integration of BTS with Wirex

This is a substantial cost but the potential benefits are huge so on balance I think its a really good call and we should proceed.

Great job to Xeroc and the team for bringing this to the table.

I've signed up to Wirex and will try over the coming week or so.

24h volume reported through their API is less than 10k USD. Not sure if it is so low due to easter or if that's normal.

They seem to only trade against GBP.

Nevertheless, it's a fiat gateway. Might be worth it.

Correct - they're not a crypto to crypto exchange just a fiat gateway so all trading is direct purchases with GBP. Trading volumes should be considered on that basis.

The main benefit is average UK Joe can buy BTS directly and quickly using this service and have some comfort it's legit etc (trust pilot score) even if he has no previous crypto knowledge.
