We need new miners - pro at specific pools, new at all pools - and services for both.

I saw liveCD, the new miner guide, etc. What's our newest stuff to broaden user-base?

I'm thinking a new project that would broaden the user base would be a program (MSI/GUI interface) that identified the most profitable current CPU coin to mine, and switched between CPU coins as profitability changed, and sent all funds, as received, to a MMC exchange gateway. It would need to be closed source, and bundled with all necessary miners, and zero-config, as always.

Have gpu-switching pools like this store their maturing / immature / whachtamacallits in a mmc.org sponsored cpu-switching pool...what's techie speak for that?

http://www.middlecoin.com/

And what's "closed source"?

On the newb guide, maybe add a "9. Next Steps" at the end.

Maybe link to more advanced topics or pages on mmcwiki or something?

What if I want the best never-fail linux distro min-setup auto-install script for a production run of gpu farms?

What search engine or knowledge base do I type that into, and how long do I have to wait for a result?

I prefer a community / private attempt first.

I'm making Max's Mine to promote smaller pools.  You mine for me at a sponsored pool, I donate back to the pool operator or mining community.

Currently running a "follow us in the leaderboards" for dwarfpool users to donate to dwarfpool development:

Maybe a web form to direct income to small private developers? Like maybe:

Upload existing .bat file for miner, generate a new one to:

1) Mine for maxmine.dwafpool.com for X seconds at MAXMinevK5EPyw2fditvrzosy9nCTR6pd1
2) Then close window and call user's original .bat file.

A "one-time interval" of mined funds for anyone instead of a periodic interval?

The intent would be a simple "click and donate once" function starting at a web-to-command-line interface for this stage.

I can do something, but it'd be messy.  I can give a function for X - need to update the electricity price thread, anyways.

MemoryCoin / MMCPOST - Community FAQ
« on: January 28, 2014, 05:27:26 am »
I once said:
If we knew what we were doing, it wouldn't be called research.
If we could pay for it, it wouldn't be called development.
Send me MMC to prove me wrong.

Me, Seraphim, and Isaac are working on MMCPOST - let's get an FAQ going.

I'll put together a FAQ in this thread.  Community members can add / post questions below for me to answer.

______________________________

MMC Global Board (MMC address TBD) and MMCPost.com (URL TBD).

MMCPOST.COM Never-Asked-Questions:
-or- MAXNAQs

MMCPOST?

MMPOST will act as a social portal, or directory of user profiles, contents, links for "professional" or "developing" MMC users.  Users may create a profile and create on-site content, or post to offsite content.  It is intended for Officers, Miners, Merchants, Volunteers, Project Managers, and Candidates.

MMCPOST will function as a "communication" portal or service directory for individual MMC users.  Virtual currency users spend time across many different sites and disciplines.  MMCPost will allow them to identify and network with other MMC individuals and communities.

Content:

It will allow for the following categories of content per account:

(Initially implemented mainly as bulletin board - text post style.  May develop as we go.  Categories and features subject to change.)

1. Ideas - Initial personal content, output, works-in-progress.  On-site "blog", personal news, updates, etc, or links to offsite accounts.
2. Bids - Individual services, questions, person-to-person trades that an individual profile can provide.
3. Requests - Individual services, questions, person-to-person trades that an individual profile would like to receive.
4. Proposals - Private longer-term or on-going programs, projects, or support that an individual is requesting private or community support, volunteers, or donations.
5. Campaigns - Public service programs, programs, projects, or candidate that an individual supports or contributes to - MVTEcXo or MVTEcha, etc.

Why MMCPOST and not here?

We expect explosive growth in social interaction between small team-based organizations of for-profit commercial-minded individuals.  We want to help them organize, communicate, propose, learn, and develop their own projects, and let the network focus on helping by network design to market charity, training, public service, private development, and capital investment on an individual distributed scale throughout our network of users.  Think open-source virtual community developer networking.

Who needs MMCPOST?

CEO disciplines need it to support common eommunication platforms between officers.
CMO, CSO, and CNO disciplines need it for community promotion, assistance, and market evaluation.
New MMC community members need it for personal development and community assistance.

Who will use MMCPOST?

Anyone who wants to be known in a site-based virtual community– at least in one part of one virtual currency network.

Look at the "post your keyhotee ID and be known" thread...At least those guys! Keyhotee is “protect your identity”, and people are already saying “look at me!” (at least on a forum)...

MMC needs to be bigger.  We will design MMCPOST to support that.

Reply for which topic next:

I know - we need that.

But basically, we can trace and measure Coinpayment addresses and Coaex and the CNO / DNA can make an "MMC Merchant Network Supporter".

I want to focus more on "MMC New User", "New Xcoin user", and such - so let's see some how-to's on setting up your own site like that with coinpayment.  I'll send 10 MMC to your VTE address to forum-bait you into it :)

I'm writing up how I'm gonna "trust" or rate merchants, miners, officers, etc...you can "gentleman's bet" me back 10 MMC to publish it :P

82
Maybe instead of "buy PTS", I should have said "invest" or "want to buy services or goods" with it...a combination of savings power and purchasing power...fundamental value.

Can you explain the financial relationships / effects of the license to "small DACs" or start-up web services...maybe like an ebay start-up seller or micro-blogger site?

E.g., what do you mean by "I3 software" and "use the software"?  Do you mean "developed by I3 in the future" / "fork the code"?

Bah, see - this is why I want mmcpost :P

So users can have a "profile page" with resume, skills, etc attached to an MMC address - the linkedin of virtual currencies.  CMO should handle cross-posting along with official announcements, etc - let's make a thread here, and itsik can post in bitcointalk / etc asking people to sign-up, post backgrounds, etc as a "volunteer contact list".

Ah, good.

I want to see if we can market / exploitz the nonprofit side wrt to taxes / etc...

I'd like to see a page on memorycoin.org for each charity wrt donations and taxes, identity, etc...at some point.  Seems like that may be good to know...

CMO should tip CSO :P

Coin development has management aspects that are completely new to most people and hard to understand / separate the intricacies...it's almost like we've created a new profession.

For the most part, overall price doesn't affect merchants and traders too much - they base in fiat or other virtual currencies, so they can adjust sale / cost prices in MMC accordingly.

Miners are more affected by overall price, because it is "new income" - zero cost basis to them.

The "bad MMC" merchant does pump-and-dump / loves trade volatility / large site sales to collect fees / etc.  The "bad MMC" miner just mines and sells regardless of price.

The "good MMC" merchant markets to MMC miners with their products and/or price discounts - they "sink up" some of the "bad miner" MMC with services before it hits the exchange.  The "good MMC" miners hold their MMC, hire developers with MMC, or promote MMC merchants within the MMC network instead of selling on exchange.

We need more people to come out as "good MMC" supporters and sponsor development of some sites / volunteer / etc.

« on: January 27, 2014, 05:49:40 pm »
When did this appear?

http://memorycoin.org/newbie-guide/

Who's running memorycoin.org, mmcwiki.com, mmc-chain.com, etc?

Let's get a "hierarchy" of sites and content assigned, so we can organize what officer's maintaining what, focus on what sites to add what content to, etc...

No worries - I'm hoping people will volunteer to help you.

It's important to remember each officer / etc is only one person - often of a certain specialization for economic use of tax dollars...we can only go so fast until we organize volunteer armies / etc...

I specialize in forum entertainment, so that's the best way for me to provoke people into action :P

Stalemate:

You won't get my vote yet, but you can.

Coaex and coinpayment are good, but somewhat anti-manifesto.  It results in a a lot of coins being "washed" of network history / owner info and consolidation of a large amount of value / economic activity through one sites - they're centralization policies.  The manifesto wants us to reach out to miners and empower them, which would mean being more "pro-miner" / "pro-start-up".

I saw you plan to do a write-up / guide / intro to merchant site start-up - that's more "pro-manifesto".  You'll get my vote after I see that, but probably 3rd preference as a "pro-merchant" stance.  Itsik will probably be #2 with a "pro-centrist" stance, and I think I have some ideas for a "pro-miner" stance, so I'll probly vote for myself for #1 for cmo.

@newmine:

Do you know accounting at all?  I was thinking it may be good to advertise and get some individual tax professionals to accept MMC for accounting advice...the season is approaching...
