Ok but let's assumo for example that they collude to set the price of the USD 2x higher for tomorrow at 11:00.
At 10.59 they could buy a lot of bitUSD and then then ask for settlement at 11:01 so as soon as they get caught the damage is already done.
Or there is some kind of built in protection?

I believe there is a limit of 10% movement above or below the peg price

Hi Ander,

In your opinion which technology is better all around Bitshares or Monero?

Monero. :)

Doesnt mean i dont like bitshares though.  But it does seem to be in an eternal funk. :(
I looked at the Montero site and could not get a good indication as to why the tech is better. All I know is the basic knowledge that it is better for stealth transactions. Why would you say it I had better tech than Bitshares?

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Apparently, anonymous transactions are in high demand among crypto punks. Bitshares could just copy XMR implementation and become a better technology in their eyes.

It's not really that apparent since you didn't buy a lot of monroe when it's low .
you're only convinced that it's in high demand when the price go up 10x in 1 month.

we dont know if its a well orchestrated pnd or its actual demand.. i got wrecked shorting it got out at 0.025 but its still hanging around.. seems like it wants higher prices.

Didnt even know about Steemit until recently... seems those that do the hangouts know and the rest of the community doesnt... would have been good to do some blogs etc about shifting focus seems he just picks up his desk and leaves as he sees fit (BM)... anyways I'd like to see some proof that he is going to merge both projects as that will give confidence in holding BTS.

They basically used a non production ready system and plugged in their transaction module and consensus module with a few lines of code and called it a day... next they will work on "marketing" and keeping up to date with scorex code base :) worth 4k btc? no more like 40btc max.

Their goal was to hit 1000 btc by the end lol... people are pretty stupid in crypto.

Not sure how they handle pegging of the fiat assets on the blockchain.

"Asset-to-asset trading makes it possible to provide a stock market-like trading interface, by allowing
trading against USD, EUR, CNY, and so on. All in all, the platform interface is closer to traditional
financial interfaces than to a normal cryptocurrency client. We find it important to provide an
interface to which most users are already well accustomed, at the same time as empowering it with
blockchain technology. Users can do things they were unable to do with traditional financial
platforms, but the learning curve remains flat, which is a key to mass-market adoption.
"

LPOS mechanism is the most interesting part of this project... it might be their innovation they bring to the table.

@vikram

thanks for your work

what i don't get. everytime someone is leaving no information or some words of farwell. I am the only one who thinks
this is strange?

Does the coders are not feeling they are a part of this community?

If and when he did leave he probably wouldn't want to upset the market and cause downward spike, instead he would distribute his coins safely and exit without commotion.. thats just a thought putting me in the dev teams shoes. But I agree its probably better to atleast say farewell especially after you have already sold.. this is all theoretical though.

He probably left... those transfers to polo with random codebames some ofthem were probably his.. i had a weird feeling about it.
it could as well be toast liquidating to get funding for his new project Maker .. (another wild guess)

I thought he would have sold long ago when he left since it was still worth something then and that is around when price dropped bigtime.

lisk apparently uses DPOS model, are the devs aware of this or somehow working with them to fork graphene and do dAPP development? This is a plus for bitshares consensus model.

Gui is pretty nice now that i finally got around to importing my wallet. How does the light client work? just as a relay node? Perhaps on the release page take out the word light if its the only wallst we give. The witnesses im sure know to use cli. Overall pretty good, I prefer to hook into a well known trading api for the dex stuff rather than doing it on our own.. thats the only major inprovement i can see.
