General Discussion / Re: We're thinking of coming back to Bitshares
« on: April 11, 2026, 05:21:14 pm »
I suppose that depends on how much your witness server expenses would be.
The likelihood would be that the ideal scenario is reversing the price downtrend and the witness pay becoming worth more, or the bts you hold being worth more through improving dpos decentralization and working on bts related projects, rather than from immediately selling witness earnings, cause BTS right now has a very low marketcap and I somewhat doubt that would be enough right now.
I'd be interested in hearing what beef you had with Hive. Steem feels like it fell off after hive forked away from it & when blurt was starting up I was more interested in Smoke network but that died like whaleshares. How are the rewards on blurt? Is it traded on the BTS DEX?

I have no interest in selling any of my BTS.

I would like to run a witness node if it has any chance of getting voted in.
- What are the current system requirements for running a witness node?
- Where is the repo and docs?

As for Hive/blocktrades/marky/valueplan, it's the greed and corruption over there that turned us away. So many great projects on Hive leave because of the whale wars, downvoting, DHF and HBD frauds, you name it. I contributed and actually stuck around over there far longer than I should have. Onward and upward as I always say :)

Rewards on Blurt are non-confiscatable so what you earn, you keep. Blurt is not yet traded on BTS, so I will need some advice on how to implement that. Besides starting up a witness node, getting Blurt trading onto BTS is a top priority of mine.

Yo,
We're mostly present on Telegram these days, check out the channel: t.me/BTSDEXDEV
There's quite a lot of projects ongoing lately, astro ui, dexbot2, upgraded pool tools & swap tools, AI bots and stuff.
Could do with recruiting some additional witnesses from other DPOS chains, would be cool to see some come over from vaulta, hive or rqrx..
It's unfortunate that posting to steem/hive doesn't bring such rewards anymore, eh? lol

Yo @R2 :)

We quit using telegram some years ago, but if any of you guys use Matrix/Element, there are a number of Bitshares chatrooms on there:
- https://app.element.io/#/room/#btstalk:matrix.org (Bitshares main chatroom)
- https://app.element.io/#/room/#bts-marketing:matrix.org (Marketing)
- https://app.element.io/#/room/#bts-wallet-help:matrix.org (Wallet help)
- https://app.element.io/#/room/#bts-node-admins:matrix.org (Witnesses)
- https://app.element.io/#/room/#bts-devs:matrix.org (Developer chat)
- also, 8 rooms for PalmPay chat in diff languages
- my contact info: @agorise:matrix.org

It's GREAT to see other projects building here too! :)

Yeah, Steem isn't dead, but their Chinese community is at least keeping it alive. Hive, grrrr, don't even get me started on that chain. Blurt has proven itself to be a much happier place so that's where I post, personally (blurt.blog/@kenCode) and for the company (blurt.blog/@agorise).

We (at Agorise) run the #1 witness node for Blurt (https://beblurt.com/witnesses) and would love to run one for Bitshares as well if we can at least break even on the expense. Is that possible right now?

Let me know, thanx! :) -ken

General Discussion / We're thinking of coming back to Bitshares

Hey guys! Long time no chat!
I see @abit, @xeroc, R, Ammar/iobanker, @oxarbitrage, @jmjatlanta, johnr, (bench, fav, funkit, fractalnode, litepresence, brekyrself too?) and a couple other names I recognize might still be here, and that's VERY good to see.

To this day, BTS is still my favorite all-purpose transparency chain for businesses. Blurt is my new fave for blogging and video (blurt.media). Monero is my fave for privacy. There are others of course, but just wanted to mention my top 3 :)

As you guys might remember, I was a Bitshares Committee member and was a block producing Delegate for some years as well. When Steem took off, I was encouraged to go over there and start building and earning (actually I/we were earning over $7K per post at that time when Steemit came out).

So now I am popping back in here to see if there is still some excitement on this chain.

People are finally waking up to crypto and some of my apps here could use an update for sure (PalmPay, BiTSy Wallet, Crystal Wallet, Smartcoins Wallet, Blinded Transactions, HTLC/ILP ACCS, etc (https://www.youtube.com/@Agorise)).

Could I get a hello from some of you guys? Please?
I would really like to see BTS, Blurt and Monero get closer too and I have some ideas. Thanx in advance and I hope to hear from some of you! :)

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Witness Proposal] blckchnd
« on: August 01, 2020, 06:03:57 pm »
Will have new chain? Sounds great! :)

I heard that some teams experiment with such idea. I guess Ken meant this

I prefer to stay here at Bitshares, and help to build the brand here, but if this whale war continues to destroy Bitshares' reputation I see no other choice but to move our apps to a fork so that we can finally move forward again. Decaying votes' implementation and removal of custodial voting though seems like a good step in the right direction, so I still have faith :)

Well, I tried to help. :-[
Good luck,

I just checked it again today and it looks like the date has been pushed back to July 30th.

Marketing is everything guys, I think the community should focus more on how to promote bts out instead of operating behind closed doors

Indeed! :)
We are also offering Marketing for Bitshares at a MUCH lower cost, and with proven results. Would appreciate your vote for ours too :)

I will donate my mining income from BTS/bitEUR pair in the first 5 days to cn-fund2020 for BTS marketing: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=32466.0

I agree, we need Marketing.
Would really appreciate your votes:

General Discussion / Re: What happened to Telegram?
« on: July 15, 2020, 12:22:01 am »
Bitshares telegram channel is dead imo, corrupt cn-vote associates implemented severe censorship which destroyed the integrity of the chat. Sad to see China export its pathetic censorship overseas.

Please join us on these new platforms:
Also, I wrote a post yesterday about Telegram and it ain't good:

Finally, you see.

My patience only goes so far. Milking us for funds has GOT TO STOP!!
Words do not describe the anger that I have with this. We work our asses off here and all we ask them (WHO WE PAY) is to take 5 damn minutes out of their day to fix the front page, put a different message up there, change the date, but at least DO SOMETHING.
We damn sure don't need another forum either, we have plenty of other sites popping up like bitshares.social, bitshares.blog, etc.

How embarrassing.
