Pool hopping only works if the whole network or large part hop around together.

Its very very unlikely that you would get any significant extra earnings by hopping mmc pools since mmc.1gh.com is about 80% of the network and doesnt hop around so in essence you would be the only one hopping around and 99.9% end up on mmc.1gh.com every single round just because its the highest hashing pool with the absolute least variance.

I see Memorycoin market movement as one of the slowly adoption of just about all altcoins but at same time also perhaps the most stable price of all altcoins.

Sure it would be great if we had faster adoption and price increase but at the moment Memorycoin mining is so hardware specific and absolutely pointless at current marketprice for GPU mining considering all the other scrypt coins.

This is good and bad.

The Good : Stable price, slower adoption which in return doesnt create huge bubble effects and if you hold MMC you have a reasonably better idea that todays price would be reflected tomorrow.
The Bad : Majority of price spikes/bubbles/you name it is caused with pump/dump situations which isn't happening to MMC at all right now perhaps due to the nature of only being on one exchange. If it moved to cryptsy+coinedup etc. I am confident it would also see periods of pump/dumps where each additional pump/dump usually seem to drop to a higher low momentumly driving the overall price and market awareness up.

With the rapid block reward dropping we are now in a vital stage to get the coin onto more exchanges somehow.

Yep its updated now.

Thanks and sorry if I sounded dickish, just very hard to get hold of BTER support and need all information available when they do decide to respond to QQchat.

SPM/HPM should be roughly equal at the end.

If in doubt, the most important value is SPM from what I can gather since that is what is actually being send to the pool.

It's the first problem and for few hours in one month, I think you don't need to alert the army.

FaSan

Fair enough, but its up and unusable since its still not updated since its gone down.

So is it busy catching up with the blockchain or when will it function with up to date block history / transaction history.

I need it functioning so I can sort out more than 20000 MMC thats missing on BTER deposit, if this isn't something thats important enough to make a noise over then I dont know what is.

Yeh it seems mmc-chain is 350+ blocks behind the network.

I really need it updated and accurate asap, got deposit issues to resolved with BTER and right now I have no way to provide them with deposit transactions for them to verify.

Its back up but without any transaction history of over 24hrs.

Is it updating blockchain or whats going on with that ?

re gmail, I have never had any gmail downtime so not sure how you could have gmail downtime.

MemoryCoin / mmc-chain down
« on: January 28, 2014, 09:24:30 am »
Its hard for anyone to take memorycoin seriously when something as important as the block explorer / mmc-chain.org is down for multiple hours right now.

What is up with that, now there is no way to verify transfers or provide information on missing deposits.

That is true, MMC have been among the most stable trading pair for weeks now.

Even though I would love a nice 100% spike on the current price, all we really need is more exchange exposure where users can notice that its a very stable trading pair then the price will rise organicly.

It would be nice to see MMC on coined up, if its on cryptsy it will drop to a few cents if not less.

Sorry but there are some idiot miners that dump thousands as they mine bringing down the price.

Coined up has less pumps and dumps, downside that the site loads slow but there's never problems with depositing/withdrawing  which the most important thing.

Thats one of the nice things about MMC, idiot miners wont jump on and mine it considering the scrypt altcoins is more profitable to mine with gpu's thus meaning if its trading on cryptsy most people would be buying/sell coins on the market rather than mining and dumping since that is simply not profitable right now with MMC and gpu mining.

MemoryCoin / BTER and MMC-CHAIN issues
« on: January 28, 2014, 08:04:24 am »
No deposits for last 24hrs have been credited on BTER, anyone else having this issue?

MMC-chain been down for many hours now making it even harder to figure out how many MMC is missing on BTER.

I take back what I said earlier yvg1900

Figured out had random other issue causing issues with running yam instance.

Right now running av=1 and m=1024*threads resulting in 3-4% performance gain over previous version.

Thanks

I notice that the new version doesnt have a constant 99.9-100% peg on each thread, it fluctuates alot between 92-98 on each threads and rarely pegs at 99.9-100%

Is this by design, surely such fluctuations would kill extra hashrate ?

That would be the case if you use m=1024 and many threads. In this case mining will suffer from inter-thread sync contention.

Max perf can be obtained when m=1024*numberOfThreads, which is exactly the config from prev version.

Tried both, unfortunately the only thing better for me using version k is the much lower ART from 60000 down to 2000 , SPM/SPM suffered about 2-3% over long running session average.

I wish we had more pro-active traders on BTER, I am doing my thing constantly whenever possible adjusting my sell orders upwards when lower buy orders clear quickly.

Far too many people just list their MMC and leave it no matter what happens on the buy side, this is making it hard to have a upwards price movement on BTER.

Moral of the story, we need greedy traders like coinedup/cryptsy who actively trade and adjust orders based on demand.

Openex lists MMC/BTC also however that exchange have just about no volume.

Definitely need Coinedup/Cryptsy or both added urgently to get exposure.
