I don't understand why the P in the logo isn't something like this

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5b/Music-staccato.png

or on the logo being used now the you could make the note into a tonearm on a record player and make the P into more of a record being played. Just some thoughts.

Shout out to the pegged USD...and them saying it can't be done haha.

"Not, because we want to do anything other than understand the developments because it seems like this protocol, the Bitcoin protocol or something like it is very, very likely here to stay."

KeyID / Re: Help importing electrum wallet to KEY ID **unresolved**

I was able to get the format with the help of davidpbrown

Here is the process.

1. open electrum select wallet, then private keys  followed by export
2. open the file you just created and locate your donation address beside your address you have your private key. Select it and copy it
3. open key id and select console
4. the format is wallet_import_private_key "private key copied here with no qoutes" "key id account name with no qoutes"
5. hit enter and enjoy you DNS

Excellent! This worked! Thank you!

This may be covered in another thread, but super excited to see agsexplorer hosting the data for the Notes 60 day auction.

Great work Boombastic!

+5% I felt a little sad when I didn't get to look at the AGS countdown after it ended. This is a strangely satisfying treat to me.

Did you try exporting your key to a text file, should be called a csv file?

once you have the csv file it should just be a matter of formatting for the wallet command.

Here is the command and format I am trying

wallet_import_electrum G:/electrum-private-keys.csv "password" "account name in keyid"

Yep,

I tried every type of variation of the command I think. From including quotations around password to not including them, to no quotations, to quotations only around the password, only around the account name etc etc etc. Still getting the 4 parse issue. I know I'm doing something wrong.

I also used electrum for my ags donation.

I exported my private keys and opened gui selected electrum and put the path of the private key from my ags donation in and I get
"Parse Error (4) failed to parse electrum wallet error importing bitcoin wallet G:/ELECTR~1.CSV"

I am trying to do it from the console like you have tried but I also have a questions about the format.

One thing for you. You have to open you electrum wallet and export your private keys it should export to a .cvs file type. You then point the client to the .cvs file type. That much I know for sure.
I still don't understand the format of how it should be typed into the client though.

Thanks Gentso. I have the parse issue as well. Have tried many different things but still nothing. Hopefully someone can help us out.

5,000,000 per day for 60 days? I imagine it will run out of steam about 3/4 of the way through and that is when the good deals may happen... maybe.

It seems getting on board for the PTS sale this Friday might be a smarter move.... maybe?

3/4 the way through the original AGS fundraiser was probably the best time to buy in as well but it ramped up again right before the end, that 75% of the way through was a good spot but because this is only 60 days we may not see that same pattern.

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Questions on the artistcoin details
« on: October 06, 2014, 01:56:15 pm »
Q) So I see a talented artist's coins are really cheap so I spend some BitUSD to get them. I then want to spread the word to my friends on facebook, but they aren't into crypto so dont have any BitUSD. What do I do about this? Will PeerTracks accept credit cards as a substitute to buy BitUSD first?

Q) Im trying to fully understand the buy-back process. An artist initially offers 10000 coins at 1 dollar each for example, and half of then are bought up. The artist gets the usual 80% of each sale, but where does the 20% go to, as there are not yet any other coins for sale in the hands of users?
-Do the 20% of the initial sales sit waiting to buy-back coins as soon as some of the initial buyers start selling?
-What if the initial buyers sell their coins back undercutting the initial artist sell price of 1 dollar?

Q) How soon can we expect to see artists sign up to PeerTracks ? Any confirmed ones yet?

Thanks for any explanation on this.

I think it's a mistake to let artists try and set a price. The market should determine the price otherwise you'll have a lot of music which doesn't get purchased at all because artists set the wrong price.

With altcoins every altcoin finds it's price. How does an artistcoin find it's price? I think the way it should work is to just get rid of the whole salary stuff and just let artists use their own coins.

If you buy their coin you buy their song. The moment you redeem the coin then the coin is destroyed and you're left with the song. This way the more songs there are which get sold the less coins remain and the price of the song goes up as market and trading activity goes up.

What if a song is worth more than $1? The price can't go up beyond that even if demand suggests people would pay more than $1.

Do we have a formula to figure out how many notes per AGS we would receive if we donated to the original AGS fund?

Thanks!
