I am interested in having a discussion… on the other hand if you want something changed direct your arguments towards them (3I)  and do not lick their hand by unnecessary attacking me for details, that do not matter anyway, as I am not in charge on anything...

I just get frustrated with people who can't understand what's going on and accuse I3 of acting like scammers when we are not.

Maybe you are right that the market won't like us to use the PTS as a community fund for marketing, give aways, or promotion.  But maybe they will love it and we can find a way to spend it to drive lots of new people to bitshares.

Stan has already said if there is conflict and the forum is split, the PTS will most likely be burned/mapped out of PTS2.  They were treating these as community funds; they solicited the community for input on how to spend them to drive value for everyone. Instead people called us scammers and people are acting like Stan wants to sell them and get a Bentley.

If we burn them we burn them, and if you think this gives you the best ROI than make that case and tell us why.  But if you think I3 is dishonest why are you even invested at all?

Perhaps burning them gives you the best ROI, perhaps it's a missed opportunity and it will cost you.  That is the decision here.  And we are all in the same boat!  We sink or soar as a community.

Ok, maybe there is a small difference between those who are primarily in AGS vs PTS but for the most part we are all in the same boat and I3 is in the boat with us, and they built the boat, we all want this to be huge.

Full disclosure, I don't have much sympathy for people in PTS freaking out about not getting a 15% bump in stake when they can go get a much larger return by donating to AGS.

I agree that if we don't use them carefully they would be better off burned.  But I also have an open mind to the possibilities

The above is not the original quote!!!!

Changes were made by a 'sockpuppet’ Simeon II' to reflect what 'sockpuppet’ Agent86 wanted to actually say.

P.S.

I just  need a simple gesture to believe you ‘I3 puppet’!!!

I want I3 to donate equal share of  Invictus holdings (AGS and PTS) in this marketing effort, and I will  leave you to do whatever you choose  with the 15% of my money!!!!

I just want to you (Invictus) to be partially invested (so hopefully you care), not spend this money like what they really are as of now - are stolen or fee money!!!!

What part do you not get?
PTS holders now have 100% of the PTS.
After the new PTS 2.0 come to life, they will own 1.65/2 or about 82% of generally the same thing

Either way, PTS would reach 2,000,000 soon anyway (by mining otherwise), so your 82% is going to be the same.

Exactly and also don't forget the 1% inflation after the 2 million would have been reached.

Fair enough for me :-)

+5% from me as well. I would rather have 15% less shares and this 15% is well spent to create serious media buzz rather than have 15% more on some shares that are constantly lose their value...

This is great!  Incentivize every customer to recruit 2 or 3 more customers.  Explosive growth.  "Like bacteria in a petri dish."

Plus Stan thinks we are stupid enough to not get this picture, and must be happy because ‘He/I3 will do such great thing with this new money, that we can hardly imagine, the great benefits that wait us’

“What part you do not get?”

I am in no way a god (like Zeus), neither play one (like Stan), so here are some of the things I do not get:

-How 15% dilution after/through 3 years is the same as 15% dilution right now?

-For what reason Invictus should be the owner of said 300K dilution shares.

-How do you ‘good I3 dogs’ think that somebody who has spent, 23K $ for this website: [http://bitshares.org/] will do a great job with the 1 mil of advertising money.

I have been following the project since Oct last year and was mining from day 1 on Nov. 5th. After half and year, I saw I3 is veryvery good in collecting money and all the product is PTS and a large forum. And now you want to take the other 360k PTS? Are you short of funding to travel to St. Martin?? :-[ Can anyone tell me who is using the AGS money travel to St. Martin??? Why the current AGS funding is spending on worthless website refinement and unnecessary staff but not paying to Peter Todd or Sergio to review the code and suggestion?

PTS is really slow now because the difficulty is not adjusted every block. It is design flaw, not the fault of miner. I can only see all the miners now are very loyal and should be rewarded. Other coins are talking pre-mine from genesis block, but I3 is taking it at the end. Sounds bad, but truth, isn't it?

1. Our executive team has been invited to attend a meeting of venture capitalists in St Martin who indicated an interest in funding the BitShares ecosystem.  They are even reimbursing many of the expenses.

2.  PTS was based on BTC code.  This code has the design flaw you mention.  This is why we propose to upgrade to a DPOS variant.

3.  Upgrading to DPOS frees up the money previously allocated for miners which will no longer be needed.  This has to go somewhere, even by default.  That is what we are discussing with this community.

4.  We pay for as much time as Sergio is able to give us.

5.  Giving away crypto-assets via various spigot mechanisms is common.  We are proposing targeted give-aways for which there are hundreds of industry examples.

6.  These are companies, not currencies - there is no stigma to companies figuring out their share allocations in advance and reserving some shares for future needs.  The term pre-mining has no meaning in this domain.
1. Please show us the evidence!
2. It is not DESIGN FLAW of Bitcoin! It's only a matter of implementation. If you guys implement PTS as dynamic difficulty adjustment (like some other altcoins did), PTS wouldn't be like this today. But you are blaming Bitcoin! WTF! DPOS hasn't been proven to work yet! Stan, you're acting like Mark Karpeles here (blaming Bitcoin for transaction malleability).
3. Of course it has to go to somewhere, but it is not for 3I to decide. According to your posts, you still think it's your own money and you're just wait until others get tired to argue with you so that you can control them.
4. .
5. Would you mind provide one of such examples?
6.
7. Is it so hard for you and 3I to admit that you were doing a bad job, instead of using all the twists and turns to obfuscate the real issue here? Until you admit you are wrong, I don't think you have what it takes to make BitShares a success.
8. And, most importantly. Please reply to me regarding all the concerns I have. I am your big investors! I invest real money into 3I. As the saying goes, "People should be responsible for their own investment", but it doesn't mean that you guys can fuck me all over and there's nothing I can do about it!

BitShares AGS / Re: Crowdfunding using AGS?
« on: May 21, 2014, 05:37:42 pm »
To summarize, aside from DACs which could have their own funding methods, we are going to need a ton of tools through an assurance contract.

e.g. MaidSafe has set aside 15% of the funds they raised for that.

We could do better if we let people direct 15% of their investment towards efforts they feel are most vital.

‘If you read what I've published I think you'll understand that my primary motivation is just to get the word out about how cool PMs are and how they can save everyone a lot of time and effort. I'm really not trying to push the site or these specific markets, other than that this is an opportunity for investors to actually learn about when the software will actually come out.’

Yes, I know. I have read your whitepaper and the threads here and on bitcointalk. It is really sad that Dan do not to want to invest in developing PM DAC. Though, I do not agree with your opinion that this is because of such DAC will compete with BTS X…

^^ AsymmetricInformation^^ are you involved with the development on the site you posted a link to?
I just think it would be better to buy something that already has ‘determined’  (even if changing with each bet) odds. It is kind of hard to 1.come with reasonable odds 2. Wait somebody to hopefully take the other side.

Now that Invictus announced a derivative of PTS that adapts DPOS, which of it has an edge or more valuable than other. It says that PTS2 will be 1:1 value as to the original PTS. But this might lead to confusion among traders and investors. This brings AGS a little bit of advantage. Eventhough it hard to make AGS liquid, the stability and adaptability of it made this over PTS or PTS2.

Not 1:1 in value.  It's 1:1 in shares (BIPS).  We think the upgrade will quickly grab all the value and then grow because it has a better design and marketing strategy and it is the one we will honor.  If enough investors and developers choose otherwise, then the opposite could be true.

'Not 1:1 in value.  It's 1:1 in shares (BIPS).' in other words it is about 15% drop in value... the rest is hope 'We think the upgrade will quickly grab all the value and then grow'

I really don't get what is the frustration here...

Every PTS share holder will now ALSO own a PTS2 share!

The plan is to distribute the remaining PTS to the existing PTS holders and create 2 mil PTS2 which will also be distributed to the existing PTS holders, or I miss understood something?
For every PTS we hold we will get now +15% PTS and 1PTS2? PTS2 will not need any mining and will be liquid?

How on earth can this not be good?

Here is a simpler question Stan:

‘Why after you announce you *genius* idea how to increase the value of PTS  ” 2x to 10X”, the price of PTS went down?’

I guess your non- full-of-yourself, non-arrogant answer would be that the market is not smart enough to see your genius?
Why don’t you consider for once the more trivial explanation that people see when they are served bullshit?

everyone seems confused - me too!

10% PTS and 10% AGS at least for new DACs from Invictus so far

what happens when PTS 2 is released?

PTS2 is an upgrade so it must honor its predecessor 1 for 1.  A mere upgrade should never siphon value from an existing chain to give to another group.

Now, if you are releasing a new chain, you want to attract all the competitive advantages for it you can.  Honoring PTS 10% and AGS 10% gets you their support and our support.  That leaves you 80% to go after other demographic groups, fund development, fund marketing, or whatever.
Hi stan
to my undertanding it is a upgrade , it is simple thing , I think a better way is to announce a forced update. then everybody can understand this.

Yes, I tried that.  Got called "arrogant" for even considering such a thing.   :)

Bottom line is we usually have to explain all our new ideas several different ways before everyone gets comfortable with it.

You mean before everybody is tired to argue with all twists and turns, that you represent the simple truth that YOU want the money and YOU will decide what to do with them?

one more thing, would you still accpet PTS donate for AGS? or the PTS2 thing will come after the end of AGS donating?

Good point.  The easiest way is to do as you suggest and wait for AGS to be complete.  But I hope we don't have to wait that long, so I'm open to other ideas...

What???  Are you drunk or you just post incomprehensible non-sense on purpose?

Announcing BitShares PTS2
...PTS2 will honor all shares of PTS one-for-one, with the remaining unmined PTS shares mapped to a "reverse angel" marketing fund to help grow the value of PTS2 - and all its children.'''

This is the new convolute way of saying –“Invictus will get those shares and we will do whatever we decide to do with them.”
