Are we too late to buy? Is 0.02 the top? Any technical traders have advice?

lol I've put off buying eth on every rise, assuming "there's no way this is sustainable"...but it just keeps going up anyway. And I know full well that as soon as I pull the trigger and buy it'll come crashing down on me.

Pretty sure I'm the worst trader alive.    :(

I agree with Erlich (and personally enjoy reading his posts heh). But yea it's pretty clear the possibilities with sidechains are huge. I sincerely hope BM considers this to be at or near top priority.

Very nice analysis. Agreed.

General Discussion / Re: bitSHARES - As True Shares and Not a Currency!
« on: February 22, 2016, 09:52:57 pm »
I've been wondering if there would be any  benefit from changing BTS such that it can be put in either of two states. Switching between the two states could incur a fee (possibly much cheaper or free in one direction).
The two states:
  • BTS is non-transferable and can receive many benefits which may exist (like voting power, building up coin-days for an account to send bitassets, being a sharedrop target, receiving dividends etc.)
  • BTS is transferable, but doesn't receive the host of possible benefits (more of which could exist in the future)

Although this compromise would miss the main benefit of tonyk's idea, I think it has it's advantages. It would reward people who wish to hold BTS as though it were a share and possibly incentivize people to do this. The voting power would lie more with people who hodl.

Sorry - I don't have time to delve into this at the moment, so for now let me just ask, "Does this idea have enough merit to consider any of it's aspects seriously?".

Interesting. and if we manage to get to say 66% converted to non-transferable state, we can switch off the feed and go to market (DEX) pegged assets.

Yea, I'd rather see a hybrid solution like that as opposed to a fork.

I feel like Polo always has BTS trending downward, while BTC38 tries to hold it back up. Thank the stars for BTC38 or the price would probably really be in the shitter.

Reminds me of that time a few months back when BTC38 deposits/withdrawals were halted, and the Polo price just crashed down to like 600 sats overnight.

Meh, I'll stick to BitShares. The name sounds cooler.

In Monero, there is none of the bullshit like where some BTS community member sends 5M BTS to poloniex, and everyone posts about it here, and dumps.  Nope, because you cannot know.

I really, really, really do hate that about BTS in its current state...

General Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Bonus Hangout: (SILVERTICKET Entry Fee)
« on: February 12, 2016, 09:39:53 pm »
btw I dont agree with the tickets thing only because this is a new chance to get new people attending the hangout and it limits their access. They can always do it, sure, for someone new who doesn't even have a wallet is too much work. We are wasting an opportunity to have new people outside from BitShares joining in. I understand trying to make this exclusive, but this should be done to every hangout except this one and others like this.

Yea, think I agree with Akado on this. The whole "must have a ticket to enter" thing just kind of makes it seem like BTS outsiders aren't welcome in our cool little club. Or something.

Hey look, it worked!

I'm not sure what you were expecting to read in an r/ethereum reddit thread... most seemed open to bitshares and didn't necessarily hate on bts.  Of course there is going to be ethereum biases in that thread.

This. Seemed more reasonable than I would've expected tbh.
