General Discussion / Re: The Hero from BitShares Island

If I'm not mistaken, this is an idea you've been talking about for years, ever since market pegged assets came out. Your timing here seems to indicate that you're very bullish on BTS.

You need to think BIGGER, Pinky.  :)

What's bigger and pinky?

Muse/SoundDAC / sept. MUSE project update from Cob
« on: September 06, 2016, 05:29:18 am »
cob [9:13 PM]
Hi guys. working on two things at once atm.
Troopeers. Which does indeed have traction. Going around NYC we had a lot of interest to try out beta. We hired a guy to design entire UX and a new front end dev to implement all designs.

In the meantime, we are revamping the shit out of Muse and since the open sourced dotblockchainmusic project released their alpha last wednesday, we are in talks with their devs to see how we can work together. There are some very interesting pieces of the puzzle they are solving, which we can integrate into MUSE.
Either take some of that code directly in integrate it within MUSE OR simply connect up to their system and leverage that. Still very early but very promising, we've just been put in touch with their devs so that should be very helpful.

In other news, I AM going to be in Spain. I am giving a presentation (making a powerpoint atm) on the holy trinity that is MUSE, PeerTracks and Troopeers. and I've just been added to the closing panel talk.
Also in early october I am giving another talk in Bruxelles at the European something something of I.P.

[9:15]
that logo sucks, btw. but it was the best one the contest provided. We aren't using it.
Well the final design walkthrough was this morning. So now that the new front end guy has a grasp of the entire app, we can estimate how long it will take him to implement.

[10:22]
and just so you know, it will be a beta of Troopeers, not Muse
Pivotal Tracker is what we where using  internally for the App we showed off in NYC.
Tomorrow morning we are going through pivotal tracker (which still contains all the stories that deal with post beta features) and moving everything relevant to Trello. To ensure the new devs keep the medium to long term goals in mind. So after that meeting, we'll be in a position to calculate timeline of the Beta.

[10:30]
a couple things come into play as well.
I'll be in Spain and Bruxelles for conferences. Which can delay us a bit if the release date is between the 19th of sept and oct 7th. BUT there might be someone coming into PeerTracks which has 17 years of project management experience that can handle everything we need.
But it's not a garantee yet

[10:30]
couple moving parts ^^

cob [6:11 PM]
Yes this wouldn't compete with Muse. That dotblockchain project is indeed just creating a database of copyrights that is publicly viewable

[6:11]
Muse can read that info.

[6:11]
be a portal, etc

[6:11]
we would be the MEANS of payment

[6:11]
Paying with MuseUSD

[6:12]
among other things
ame thing, only instead of requiring our users to input the data into Muse, Muse can merely read the data from the public, open source dotblockchain chain

[6:16]
we can either just read it

[6:16]
or read it and copy it

[6:16]
if need be

[6:16]
working out the best way forward with them

[6:17]
Muse would be unique in being the chain that pays the correct people instantly and transparently using a crypto currency that has stability around the value of a USD

[6:17]
wouldn't act like a stock
Well Muse backed dollar if you will

[6:26]
the bitUSD backed by shares of the blockchain

./steemd —miner='["accountname","${WIFPRIVATEKEY}"]' —witness='"accountname"' —seed-node="52.38.66.234:2001" —mining-threads=2

who can explain how to get accountname  and WIFPRIVATEKEY?

General Discussion / Re: Ethereum price discussion
« on: February 12, 2016, 12:40:18 am »
Once the pump finishes, people will get bored holding a hypecoin with no GUI and and smart contracts that are clearly inferior to those on BitShares. They will then start to look at the liquidity and beauty of our DEX and come flocking over. Ethereum's market cap is just a glimpse of the great times to come for BitShares.

Im bringing out my inner Stan.

lol, traders never care about GUI .
They trade on the exchanges .

I trade Bitcoin for half a year without even touching the Bitcoin wallet
you may cry if it get hacked ...LOL

after reading BM's blog for no tx fee blockchain , it is brilliant  and  we should give him full  support . That's exactly what future blockchain should be .... +5% +5% +5% +5% +5% +5%

@dacplay  @btswildpig @logxing

I would love an update about what play is planning.  I don't think they should have to do a mumble though.  Especially if none of them feel comfortable speaking english.

If btswildpig is any indication of the play devs opinion of bts, it isn't good.  he seems convinced that BM is a thief.

Regarding the "thief" question , I'm sure you must speak a different set of English than I used to . Everybody knows BM acted in the way that he thought was necessary , and I question his tactics based on how I was educated/experienced, especially in the crypto field, that his tactics are simply not possible to last for a long time  . It's nothing new though , I said it a year ago that dilution is not real money , that's my constant belief and educated guess .  I'm simple reminding this community that there are basic and fundamental principles regarding market . Start-ups don't have "secondary market" as their only income source, no matter how many attempt to get so-called "real-users" , the up and downs is and always will be decided by the secondary market and the capital in it . Because , again , unlike real company , we don't have fixed cost/fixed income department , imaging -----when BM brought 10000 users in by his magical dilution development work  ,they created 100000 USD buy pressure(highly unlikely ) , and then BM or other whale see the huge buy order coming up and sold 300000 USD worth of BTS because they want to pay tax/buy boat/whatever , is this "company" profiting or losing money ? You can't tell , could you ? That's why I said I've always said real users could not drive marketcap , because it doesn't work that way with market cap .

Sometimes I'm just too tired to repeat some basic and simple princicple regarding second market that everybody should've known a long time ago . Call me fudster for telling the common sense for all I care  [emoji14] .

And second of all , I'm just a community member regarding DACPLAY now . I have no role that could branded me their "indication" .

Thanks for clarifying btswildpig.  I really was not trying to talk trash.  I have gotten the impression that you believe that BM has set up bitshares as his personal piggy bank to be raided whenever he feels like it.  To me that would be a thief.

If instead you believe that BM has made mistakes that have hurt bitshares, but that he was not trying to rip us off then I was mistaken.

I apologize for that.

As far as not knowing if you were still, or ever involved in dacplay, the whole point of my comment was that none of us know anything about dacplay.  I am still a delegate on the dacplay chain.  Only missed 12 blocks too.  I have no idea what is going on with it though.  Should I still be spending that $20 a month to keep the server up?  I have no problem paying $20 a month to help support dacplay til the end of time, as long as it is needed and its going somewhere.

Anyways thanks for responding, and I am sorry if I mis-characterized your opinion of BM.

I don't know much about programming . But it seems to me they've been working on the old-code and graphene code at the same time .
And they've just won the Shanghai blockchain hackaton with Graphene based random number generator (10000USD reward) .

Hmm....that's the news on January,2016.. Maybe everybody have forgotten that .
That was eth based blockchain hackathon . Isn't that?

DACPLAY won ether hackathon

General Discussion / Re: poll for the "1 BTS for transfer" proposal
« on: February 01, 2016, 08:38:57 am »

we can definitely lower the fee to the same level as ETH ... do not worry ... we are getting there ...soooooooooooon

Quote
1) add the intrest to account that no moving bts for more than a month

2) to lower the fee to LTM level but increasing the vesting period(non-LTM) to 150-180 days and reduce LTM's vesting period to 7 days

FYI... Ethereum charges 0.01 ETH ($0.02) per transfer for all users, while we charges 30 BTS ($0.10). Oh I forgot LTM... yeah you need to transfer 833 times to recoup LTM fee.
