Did the news arive late in your cave Troll?

And the proctologist calls for his pick and shovel. When all of NM's posts can be summarized with one picture of a hole, maybe it's a good thing he hasn't spent more time on here.

If anyone understands what a mammoth undertaking this is...  it's going to take a long time, a lot of money, and a lot of bumps in the road.

If I stood up and said my name is Gary, and I've got a project called Gollars and Gents, to revolutionize the airline industry. Please buy into my ICO, and I'll release the fine details later.  (Right now I just have overview and faq material out), you would all probably tell me to get lost. :)

Yep. That's a mammoth undertaking even before choosing a turn-off name. It sounds even worse with a "G", though -- not airlines, bad gay "Gents" porn, maybe? My name is Chris and I'm selling CONcerts for Collars and Cents -- wanna buy in? For 10 Cents, you can have 1 CONcert. If all goes well, you can trade it in for a collar (choose dog, cat, or human) in about 10 years. Is seems a sittle sit silly, son't sou sink?

STEEM sounds like elitist bullshit. If you're not going to let this community acquire any, either through a sharedrop, egalitarian mining, or the DEX, then don't expect us to follow you.

See the Whitepaper, page 15. They are going to let anybody acquire it, whether they can fit into your preconceptions or not. To acquire it you don't have to be a miner or have any funds to purchase it.

So who's the elitist bullshitter?

Ha ha. It's obviously very easy to acquire using any number of strategies, at least in small quantities. I was merely being facetious. In fact, acquisition by the masses seems to be the main purpose of this coin (that and allowing BM to fund his experiments by pumping and dumping). I'm all in favor of bringing in more eager users. You could just call it fuzzycoin, for that matter. And hopefully, the masses will have more wisdom than the whales.

A nuclear bunker full of gold and a 24/7 webcam on it to provide proof of reserves? Call it the Fort Knox Webcam and you'll have plenty of takers.

Me, I prefer to carry gold on my person. They can have it if they can get it off me.

where can i found this?

if i read it correct. If i name my project "SHENTIST" and not "ALGAMANDA" i will have spend more on marketing, because SHENTIST is my name and ALAGAMANDA is not?

Makes no $ense!

The question should be, makes it $ense to call it SOLLARS? You need a easy to remember name and SOLLARS fits in this creteria.

You can found your business on the blockchain (sorry, couldn't help it). Do a quick Google search and the rest will come up. Aside from the narcissistic suggestion, which another poster made, the main point here is that a new product with a new role requires that you educate the consumer. If your name is not as descriptive as it could be (as is the case when you name it after yourself), then you are stuck with more work educating people about what it is and why they need it. Comparing this to something like TRUMP hotels or ABERCROMBIE T-shirts is fallacious, because hotels and shirts are products with which the consumer is already very familiar, and the name is simply a brand of that product. Here, you're asking potential customers to trust you in a mighty way with the product itself, and if you're the kind of person who sticks your name on things, well, they may or may not swallow what you're trying to feed them. IMHO, it would be a lot less baggage to simply take yourself out of the way and come up with a decent product name. I am not trying to be an a-hole, though that may apply. I am pointing out a potential objection that you may face, and if you could eliminate it now, then why not do so?

Any chance of a better name for these? IMHO chance of success is limited when someone names the product after himself. Decent guy though he may be.

That's interesting... I've had this conversation before  :) If you are directing that at the Sollars and Sense/Sollywood TV brand fair enough. If you have an argument that could have convinced Walt Disney, Sam Walton, John Deere, Harvey Weinstein, Amber Crombie and Fitch, Air Jordan, Calvin Klein, Henry Ford, Jacuzzi, Ferruccio Lamborghini, and a million other successful brands derived from their real life owners to change then I actually want to hear it.

And that is not even close to 1/5th of the list. We will be fine  :)

The consensus among most business experts is that if you name it after yourself and you're not a celebrity, you're going to have to spend more on marketing. If it's a product that needs explaining already, then it creates more work and expense for you. If I were seeing something new and unusual on Kickstarter, on the fence trying to decide if it's legit enough to jump in, and then I notice the guy used his own name for the product, that would be it. It would turn me off; I'd run for the hills. If you're an industrial magnate, railroad baron, swanky designer, or NBA superstar, then I see the value, but very few businesses in the latter 20th or early 21st century have gotten away with this. This is new money and I think you're going to have to work harder on it than you would if you just picked a humble, descriptive product name with less hubris.

I'm not comfortable with this, I'll most likely look for an earlier exit.
Best of luck and kick ass

These statements seem inconsistent. After reading the materials and looking at the videos, I don't know how you could possibly imagine a quick killing on this. If you invest in it, do it with heart. Short term speculators are not what this guy needs.

Most of my posts are garbage. For once, I'm going to be 100% serious.

I actually love this idea. Get rid of Smartcoins and focus energy on what works. Thread everything else through one asset and go from there. Really.

Most impressive. Interested to know if Roger Ver is happy about his life choices or has any regrets. Less interested in hearing about Bitcoin.com.

Could you present him with a menu from the most mouthwatering American restaurant you can find and ask him if he regrets selling M80s on ebay to bomb gophers?

I scoff in your general direction. But glad if it works for you.

Nothing personal. Just having fun.
