Muse/SoundDAC / Re: NOTE value after snapshot
« on: October 15, 2015, 02:26:32 am »
I think the solution to MUSE_USD lies in its use.
How will users pay for MUSE? Can they use PayPal or credit card to purchase MUSE (formerly NOTES) via PeerTracks? If so wouldn't PayPal_USD ≈ CORE_USD? In my mind MUSE_USD would simply act as a basket of currencies denominated in "_USD" throughout the ecosystem.

Technical Support / Re: JSON file not working for import???
« on: October 14, 2015, 08:03:12 pm »
When I try to import the .json file in the light client, the screen goes completely white and nothing happens after I click the Done button.  Any idea what's happening? I also tried doing it with the web wallet and it just goes directly to the  Wallet Management Console screen and says "No balance claims".

Does anyone have a screenshot of the trading/exchange screen? I don't have time to import my wallet at the moment to check it out.

General Discussion / Re: A Worker Proposal Banner on CMC?
« on: September 29, 2015, 07:20:06 pm »
I do not support worker proposals for marketing, sorry.   That is what the referral program is for.   Generate user conversions for it to pay for it.

Besides,  people that are checking CMC are likely already familiar with BitShares... what BitShares needs is to reach a different demographic to grow.

The alternative to what?
A simple statement that's hungry for inquiry.

I'm holding a significant amount of expired USD shorts. I'd cover if I could purchase USD without a 15% premium but until then I'm just waiting for a forced margin call.

My only complaint at the moment is that potential sharedrops won't recognize my bullshit BTS position :(

IDentabit / Re: Identabit Hangout w/ John Underwood

Really enjoyed this; thanks for posting and looking forward to Identabit!

My only beef with the random sharedrops is that it could harm users that are bullish BTS and have been shorting the market during price drops. My understanding from the recent Dev Hangout is that shorts and assets aren't being sharedropped on so it could potentially harm users that believe in BTS and want it to succeed.

identitycoin has the word tity in it so it was inappropriate

so IDentabit was used because it has both "t" and "a"

IDcoin?

IDbit?

still can't figure out the significance of the "enta"

I too don't understand the "enta" part but I guess they had their reasons.
Only problem I see with the name is it sounds too long and isn't that catchy. I would prefer something more simple like IDblocks or something that sounds better and seems more catchy. This because I don't see the necessity of needing to associate with bitcoin, i don't agree with the part where it should be similar but different. It only needs to be unique imo.

As Underwood explains here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zDPgdB9Ftm6TOOTPhk2ZzFQLMP2chYRXZsDo6nGWPEE/edit#heading=h.uiwot0p3y1ws

This is ultimately foundation building for Remitabit
So Identabit was named to make that future brand migration easier.

Meanwhile, Identity is the key brand recognition point.

If that's the case, why not BitID or bitID? That would easily tie the brand together through having a RemitabitID?  "Good sir, do you have a bitID? Yes indeed, I have a RemitabitID." BOOM
