Muse/SoundDAC / Re: What can we be doing right now to help
« on: November 30, 2015, 05:56:45 pm »
At this point, the help we need is to get MUSE listed to the most exchanges possible:

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/markets/info

Hit all of them up and get them to implement Graphene, BTS 2.0 and MUSE.

Then we'll have a way to support witnesses and worker proposals.

After that we'll need a deep mUSD market.

Here's the ones I've contacted over the past week or two.

I'm just a trader on most of these platforms. I mentioned if they needed help integrating, I can point them to the right people.  Not sure how much of a help it was, but I had a little free time.

Excellent!

I suggest everyone do do the same!
This would accomplish phase 1 of just HAVING it listed.

Then we will work on getting it to rise in value so we can support witnesses, worker proposals and an Market Pegged Asset.

Correct. This is merely a way to monetize faster and expand our target market while the spheres that require more get built.

What are the benefits to buying/trading a non-music artist's tokens and how does the monetization work for those cases?

Just trying to understand the non-music use cases(s).

We are making the UIAs into a form of Twitch.tv style subscription that is NOT binary. So it's not 0$ or 5$. Subscriber or Non-subscriber. 1 or 0.
We are going Quantum -- minus the crystals and chakras!
You can "subscribe" with 20ยข or 5000$ if you want.
You can even sell your subscription on the open (internal MUSE) market if you want.
You can even buy "subscriptions" (UIAs) and scalp them to make a buck (aka curating/talent discovering)

I will let you guys ponder on the possibilities of having divisible, fungible, tradable subscription into a star's world.
Think Fandoms, advertising, fan engagement etc.

« on: November 29, 2015, 08:26:23 pm »
so sad to hold muse
muse's primary objective now is to provide for artistcoin.

Yes. We are still doing the whole shebang. But we've found a way to hit the market earlier with just the CORE VALUE PROPOSITION: The creation of the UIAs for people with (or wanting) a fan base.
This gets traffic on MUSE and the crypto world will have it's first non-crypto-head blockchain in use.
This way sudo can turn that frown upside down and sell off all your MUSE (:

Trading MUSE/btc in now available on Metaexchange!

Great job everyone.

That's step one. Getting as many exchanges to support MUSE.

Step two is to make MUSE go up in Coinmarketcap. We need to price to rise so it can support Witnesses and future worker proposals.
Once we update the changes to the GUI (from financial to Entertainment based) people will understand a bit more what we are doing.
Then we have our marketing firm that kicks in on the first Monday of January.
We will also have our first product out: selling UIAs to people with fan bases.
Finally, and that depends when the music app will be ready (from legal to tech) we will have our automatic royalty payment splitter hardforked into MUSE to create the much talked about global rights database (where each song has a smart contract)

Step three will be getting an mUSD market going.

Step four will be getting a fiat USD to mUSD onramp set up.

So step 1 and 3 is where you guys can really help out.
We are handling step 2 and 4. (although you can help out in these steps as well)

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Shareholder Questions
« on: November 29, 2015, 08:04:18 pm »
I know people are busy during the holidays. I hope to get a few answers next week. Even grabbing a few questions every few days would be great.

Hello sir!

I really like your enthusiasm and drive in regards to this project! Keep it up man (or woman?)!

I can address almost all of these great questions. We have a meeting with our new attorney this wednesday. He is a tech and a music guy that is well connected and has very valuable experience in regards to hitting this market. We are going over our strategy with him and I don't want to respond to any questions until we have consulted with him. So yeah, I will respond to this thread once everything is settled.

Cheers!

Let's Skype asap!

We actually HAVE a video streaming platform right now. So far it only works with credit card and
Bitcoin but the plan would be to Graphenaphize the crap out of it  :)

We can't focus on this too much since we have a lot on our plates already. It would make sense to join our efforts to attack the entertainment industry from all sides.

so after almost 2 years, still no business plan or general idea how this thing is gonna make money?

 ???  ::)

I think the 'general idea' is getting into a clearer and more practical approach, given the real-world obstacles from the music industry.  'Artist tokens for fan'  is the first step.

Correct. This is merely a way to monetize faster and expand our target market while the spheres that require more get built.

Muse/SoundDAC / Order of execution
« on: November 23, 2015, 04:10:46 am »
Hello everyone!

First off, I'd like to suggest everyone follow PeerTracks on Facebook and/or Twitter for relevant articles, recent interviews and extra info regarding the space we are entering.

Second, if anyone wants to help, contact everyone you know in the crypto world and see if they can assist in getting MUSE listed on different exchanges. The more exchanges we are on, the better.

OK now for the update!

As you know, this whole thing started as a music project. As time went by, everyone realized the UIAs (to get discovered, create and engage a fan base) concept was general enough to be applied to the entire entertainment industry.

So PeerTracks was to be the core, and then we would branch out to all other spheres. That was the wrong way to go about it since the music industry is one of the most hectic places ever (especially for start ups!)

The proper strategy is to have a GENERAL platform for anyone to get discovered, create and engage a fan base by creating and selling his UIA. Musician or not!
The music part is a branch or a sub-section of the bigger picture.
Think of Facebook or Twitter for example it's for everyone, not merely Athletes or actors, but literally anyone. In our case, the general platform will be for anyone that has or wants to engage a fan base now or down the line. A new tool for a new age.

So we will be able to launch a clean and already scalable platform where anyone in the entertainment industry can create his UIA right there on MUSE -- not a test network but MUSE itself.

This means we can start getting users on board the system and trading around the UIAs on MUSE before the music app (with all the legal complexities that come with this wonderful industry!) is even out.
Keep in mind we will be onboarding non-crypto users into MUSE. Meaning we aren't fetching these users from other crypto communities and getting them to try out this new blockchain instead of that one. No, we are getting fresh blood. People that are just big fans of star X.

Our Beachhead market is still the music industry through PeerTracks of course. That industry is hurting and it is ripe for MUSE.

Advantages of this roll out strategy are as follows.

-We already have pretty much everything in place! Does not require all the music specific features
-We can get UIAs into peoples wallets and traffic on MUSE
-This stage requires no muse_USD (or it's deep market and stable peg)
-Does not require the smart contract
-We can launch this much faster and start earning income

This strategy focuses on our core value proposition. Creating, selling and allowing the trading of UIAs from the get go.
From there, we gradually add each music specific feature. For example, streamlined artist ID verification process, copyright verification on music self-uploads, etc.
Basically, a lot of stuff that has to do with the legal world of royalties which is absent in the rest of our potential market.

So in a nutshell: The platform will be the trunk of the tree, a template for all, whereas PeerTracks will be a branch, with its own special needs.
It makes no sense to finish building the branch when you have this trunk just waiting there, ready to generate income and traffic!

So there you have it ladies and gents, the new sequencing of our roll out.

(Just to clarify, there will be BOTH a general platform AND and music streaming App which you use just to create playlists, like/share/download/buy songs, discover new talent, buy UIAs, curate your genre, etc. Both sharing the same MUSE wallet)

85
PeerTracks will have a web wallet. That's a bit down the line though. We just release the light weight client to get the chain started.

when will muse be traded on an exchange?

already on yunbi...  :)

https://yunbi.com/markets/notecny

Are they trading the old notes tokens?  Has yunbi made s public statement to support muse and enable deposit/withdrawal to muse blockchain?

I have been contacted by Yunbi for the MUSE logo. I would assume they are upgrading but I have not had a reply since that request. I don't think they have upgraded to Graphene to allow BTS 2.0 is that correct?

I will ping them again.

+5% Sounds good.

Peertracks is a separate, privately owned company right?

Can you clarify or point me to the explanation of how Peertracks aims to generate revenue and make it's shareholders money vs. MUSE. Thanks.

Yes sir.

So MUSE makes income from the fees. Keep in mind in the beginning the fees are kept very low to get a network effect and they can be gradually brought up once the industry realizes the value MUSE brings to the table.
- Every time a user signs up.
- Every smart contract written to MUSE (EACH song has a smart contract)
- Transaction fees on transferring Muse_USD, Artist Notes or Core Asset
-Every time the Automatic Royalty Payment splitter threshold is reached and there's a payout to all rights holders in the smart contract, it generates a transaction fee.
-MUSE core asset can be used as collateral to the USD. So the more economic activity happens through MUSE, the more Core assets are lock up as collateral.

PeerTracks makes its money from:
-Taking a cut for offering music downloads/merch/concert tickets, etc.
-Advertising
Pretty traditional (:

MUSE must always stay profitable of course, but in the early days, it's all about getting people on board,  funding their account in muse_USD, and buying and trading artist Notes.

Is muse_USD smartcoin or IOU?
smartcoin .. a.k.a. market pegged asset

Correct
