BitShares AGS / Re: 3 BitShares AGS questions
« on: January 25, 2014, 08:40:17 pm »
For Bitshare X there will only be 4 M bitshares.

2M  BTS  will be allocated to PTS holders
2M BTS will be allocated to AGS holders.

There is no mining  it uses Consensus + Proof of Stake for securing the network.

BitShares AGS / Re: 3 BitShares AGS questions
« on: January 25, 2014, 07:43:22 pm »
Bishare X is the bank that's right.

AGS and PTS gives you shares in Bitshare X bank. Let's call those shares bex.  Bex are used as collateral to create bitassets like bitEuro, bitUSD. So your example should look like that :
AGS == bex and Bitshare X is the bank system

So :

AGS&PTS==bex
bitEuro==Euro

100 % I agree with every point you make. It is absolutely urgent to move quickly, Ethereum buzz is all over the place .
I know Brian is working in a much need it marketing campaign right now and this is great, but I think there are so many things that can be done right away, especially that now there are enough money to do it. For starter, I think there should be someone working  full time on the http://invictus.io/  site. It looks great and gives you a global idea but for someone new coming to the site, if he wants to know more about Bitshare X, Bitshare or Keyhotee there is not much to go, there is nothing there that helps you to go deeper e.g. all the information that is here : http://invictus-innovations.com/links/ should appear on the new website. There need to be examples, graphics, video , wiki (there is nothing on the wiki now), whitepapers, blog, twitter, facebook etc. To me this should be the number 1 priority.
A  full time employee  would have a lot a information that could work with right now, no need to understand everything right away , that person should work with the community. I'm sure everybody  is willing to help, those things you can't do it with bounties. Time is of essence.
I think website, marketing, and great initiatives, like fuznuts proposes here, should move us in the right direction.
By the way, this is not criticism, this is intended to be constructive. I know bytemaster and the team  are working as hard and fast as  they could, but still they are humans (not sure about bytemaster tough :) ) but they can't do everything. 3I should start using the Ags funds to hire people and I'm not talking only about programmers.

Let say I buy 2000 Ether, there will be 1 Trillion of them. What kind of ROI is that ?  And what about fundraiser then pre mine ?? Really !!!

Can't find the new Facebook bitshares page.

I agree this is a very good idea. Etherum is creating a lot of buzz right now, they manage to do it somehow.  Hopefully with that kind of initiatives and with the marketing campaign that Brian is orchestrating, 3I will get the buzz going.

I have nothing against Etherum it is a great idea. I just don't like there fundraising model.

So yes this is a great idea really :)

BitShares PTS / Re: "Protoshares is a CPU-mined coin"

Great answer,  but not not the answer to my question :)

Since Protoshares brought 'wild' suggestions in the world that it is impossible to mine it with GPU. People invested alot of money in the mining for CPU.
Yet, 3 months later it's GPU minable! That whole "Fair Mining" is gone in the wind and was based on nothing else then bullshit.

I really wonder what the dev's behind PTS are thinking, since their #1 claim appears to ba a lie.

Thats why I asked this question again, what is backing the PTS coin now?
Because it already losts its core value and the coin value was cut in half!

Not to forget the Mining Guide (link: Official PTS mining guide - It's all digitalocean, first it seems ok.
Then notice how their is a refferal code in their link to Protoshares. SOMEONE IS SOMEWHERE MAKING ALOT OF MONEY FROM US!

I'm pretty sure that PTS is actually a scam where ALOT of people fell into.

Dude common, it's not even relevant...A (big) bounty was brought up just to see if it it could withstand GPU mining, of course there are people going after the bounty and try their best to 'defeat' it  and yes they succeeded but it's certainly not like GPU mining has taken over. I suggest you read up on what this all is about and what the people are doing here with passion and I'm sure you'd change your opinion instantly. Seems like you just wanted some quick 'n easy cash while 'investing' $20 but didn't work out and now your looking for someone to blame.

Keyhotee / Re: Can I sell one Keyhotee ID(BMW) here?
« on: January 23, 2014, 06:30:47 pm »
Do the AGS come with the i.d?

Unless the seller give you the private key of the PTS wallet, that he used to make the donation for Keyhotee, you can't have the AGS.

Pretty sure they aren't.  If they were, he would have likely said it.  :/

Not that it matters.  Invictus is going to do well for all investors  who hold it...and that value of DACs like BitCloud and WeTube will likely float on the bitshares market.  Now if they are....it might be worth investing a few of my Protoshares for a favorable +% of initial money supply created in their DAC at launch (and possibly over time), but otherwise I'll probably watch it from afar (and check out their freenode).

Just MHO...

"In January 2014, programmers contrived algorithms which enable BitShares mining on graphics cards (GPUs). This has allowed substantial mining speed increases. One remarkable thing about BitShares is that where previous cryptocurrency algorithms (SHA-256 and Scrypt-based) could be “mined” up to a trillion times faster with GPUs and ASICs (large arrays of custom-programmed chips), BitShares' Momentum Proof Of Work (MPOW) algorithm has proved very resistant to such exploits. So far, even the highest-end GPUs have only achieved, at most, about an eighteen-fold speed increase against MPOW."

Hmm you are talking about protoshare right ? Or maybe you wanted to use the "Bitshares" instead of protoshare just not to confuse people ??
Like Bytemaster said MPOW will no longer be used in Bitshare, now 3I will be implementing the whole thing with a even more elegant solution eliminating completely the process of mining. With  Consensus + Proof of Stake algorithm , there is no more mining and this is radical new approach that has many benefits.
Just this part could change how the cryptoworld will work in the future.
Good work !!! Regardless of the success of Bitshares there are so many completely new revolutionary ideas, that your ebook it worth writing it no matter what !!

General Discussion / Re: Does bytemaster ever sleep?
« on: January 20, 2014, 10:41:22 pm »
I cannot do it all and have been leaning heavily on Dan Notestein, Super3, Brian Page, Bo Shen, and others to handle their domains with minimal oversight.    I am honored to be working with some great and passionate people.   Eventually I hope Invictus the movement will be entirely decentralized and spawn 1000's of profitable businesses each operating without requiring my own oversight or control.

Thanks for all of your support!  Posts like these really lift my spirits when it seems I am surrounded by a sea of critics complaining about delays or imperfections in our efforts.

Great things ahead!
Thank you for your effort bytemaster and other  fellow co-workers. In every project are delays and imperfections. Complaining is easy, but the real work is not so easy and who of the critics really helps...
