General Discussion / Re: cn-members is abusing his mod powers

What merger?

The merger of BitShares, Vote, and DNS into one all-consuming super-powerful mega-supreme-overlord DAC to rule them all. BTS supply was inflated to 2.5 billion from 2 billion to effectively "buy out" these chains and have BM and the rest of the devs focus on one DAC instead of creating many mini-DACs.

Riots ensued. Them was dark times...

Lovely response from Matt608 there. The comparisons to "GoxBTC" and "bterBTC" really drive home the message that bitBTC really is no different (except that it's decentralized and awesome).

Probably not supposed to talk about it ( ::)), but it was mainly the fact that toast was gonna allocate his pay to other delegates while he helps out with Music for a bit.

+5% for "BitShares Exchange" instead of wallet. "Wallet" is way too simple for everything BitShares is trying to do here.

A separate program specifically for holding funds (the light wallet?) should be the "wallet" (or "bank" or something if we're gonna go that direction).

Yea, there's basically nowhere to buy BTS with BTC right now...pretty crazy. Nearly 98% of our volume is from CNY.

...How exactly are you supposed to buy BTS if you don't have CNY? The largest BTC market (BTC38) has only 1.25% of the total volume.  ???

Must mean taxes are finally paid off. Lol. Probably helps that a decent chunk of available-for-sale BTS are currently locked in the abyss of BTER.

Is it bad that the first thing I think of is something Pokémon related? Lol looks cool though.

Too bad there's no specific mention of BitShares. At least the Larimers get some credit where due.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: DACx 100% delegates proposal: dacx.baozou

This is an extremely important activity, likely to boost BTS price in the near term.

That would be nice. Curious how "near term" we're talking here -- seems like a lot of things are on the horizon/being planned, but actual execution seems to take forever heh.

Regardless, this idea sounds incredible. And with a name like "Rampaging Prince Gong", what's not to like?!?

Good stuff.  +5%

While it's nice to see some activity, there's still the nagging issue of low developer transparency. Too many of us feel completely out of the loop as to what developments are taking place, who's working on what, where we're headed, and what our timelines are. These details are important to secure investor confidence.

That is a  problem with a very simple solution.  In fact bytemaster himself has been exemplifying this strategy ever since it was made available to him (over one year ago now).

They only have to show up and I organize everything else. ..

So tell me,  when something is so easy and freely available. ..why is it underutilized?   Is it not obvious that communication and teamwork are what we need most?

I agree, the mumbles are a great way to get everyone communicating. Too bad they're always during work time for me, or maybe I'd try popping in sometime.

I have a feeling tomorrow's mumble will be interesting...

That's not easy for common user to participate .
It need to be some sort of standard operation , like diagram , project management flow chart ...etc .
Lack of that lead to the misunderstanding of low-transparency . In fact many documents are not available .

Agreed. An easy to see, frequently updated reference piece with concrete details and precise plans is what investors want to see.

Meta / Will we ever reach 1.0?

GitHub activity seems to be at an all-time low. Milestone issues have remained practically unchanged for the past 1-2 weeks. BTS 0.6.2 is already 4 days past due.

Now there's talk of dev time going to Music/Play. I truly feel that at the rate we're going, we will be completely dominated by these "powered by BitShares" competitors because they have none of the bad PR, inflation issues, or merger bad-taste-in-mouth problems going on in BTS. How could we possibly compete, when inflation keeps dwindling our market cap, little seems to be truly advancing development-wise, and the devs aren't keeping us in the loop (in regards to concrete timelines, current focuses, etc)?

Seriously -- what is going on? As a shareholder in this "company" I feel a bit of transparency is sorely needed.
