That was one of my sources of review. I'm not sure what would be duplicated? The post would be more of a casual summary review for users that are not likely or uninterested in the level of depth that github discussions present.
To be clear, I didn't mean you did anything wrong. I replied just to give more information to who have interest to contribute. Thank you anyways.

FWIW there were efforts in progress here: https://github.com/bitshares/marketing/issues/12,
Better avoid duplicate efforts.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Proxy: dls.cipher
« on: July 29, 2019, 08:43:01 pm »
1.) No, I don't have double standards, but true that I haven't explained how I measured all of them.

a) When I said not active, I really mean not active even as a login. E.g. Lafona logged in last time on forums not long ago, and as Admin I had possibility to check. In simple words, was using bitsharestalk.org admin panel to check each of them. Where I said not active, that mean last login was 60 days ago.

b) Xeldal has been responsive in Telegram, and still is to this day.

c) Zhaomu same as Lafona had login not long ago.

Conclusion: I already said that all of this is my personal opinion, and info/facts/knowledge that I've collected myself - never said its 100% true or accurate.

I'd say all of current active witnesses are responsive. You know we created 2 patches recently, and most of them applied in time. Telegram is not the only channel for witness, there is also a Wechat group mainly used by Chinese witnesses.

But I still think many of them are not active. Or perhaps a better word is proactive. Personally I expect witnesses to be proactive.

Generally I agree to reimburse the expense of the 1st DEVCON. 147K CNY is totally fair.

My only concern is: funds remaining in this worker are all BTS but no bitCNY, but BTS price has dropped much, it doesn't sound good to sell BTS for bitCNY at this low price.

Since committee-account has some bitCNY, I suggest that we pay bitcrab from committee-account, and send all the BTS (around 900K) remaining in this worker to committee-account and let the committee decide how to deal with it.

Witnesses

7. xn-delegate
Voting:
No,
Reason: There is not topic for the witness and it links to btsgo.net which is another Chinese revamp of DEX with very broken node list.
Possible solution: Create proper topic, update your witness, explain the value you bring to the community and I would be voting for it.

10. delegate.freedom
Voting:
No,
Reason: URL leads to this forum without specific topic. What, why and who is Freedom its not even easy to find out. Proper introduction and more social/report activity as a witness should encourage proxies to vote and newcomers to feel safe about who they are voting on.

11. delegate-zhaomu
Voting:
Yes,
Reason: Self-explanatory from his witness topic.

13. xman
Voting:
No,
Reason: Another Chinese exchange built on top with 0 volumes on their assets and activity. Why we are supporting it when they do nothing about it by themselves - i'm clueless. No topic or person to discuss with.

14. xeldal
Voting:
Yes,
Reason: Has been around here since 2014 and haven't seen any issues in his work as Block Producer.

16. bhuz
Voting:
No,
Reason: No topic, not even google search returned anything. I just don't have idea who is the person/Block Producer.

17. witness.yao
Voting:
No,
Reason: Proper introduction in both languages, proper activity at some period, but haven't seen any activity around here for past 3 months. Vote removed, as soon as person become active again - vote will be restored.

19. delegate-1.lafona
Voting:
Yes,
Reason: Lafona is here since 2017, been very good at job of Block Producer and is still active around forums/community. Should update witness to provide existing URL of submission topic (Also another block producer that deserves more than bottom of the list)

About the witnesses quoted above, I'd say you have somewhat of double standards.

All these witnesses did a good job on producing blocks because it's not hard these days.

Price feeds - I won't comment here.

But I'd say all of them aren't active.

Looks like a bot posted on nearly every sub forum. This has been an issue for a long time now.
Interestingly he had replied to this thread (and was banned later).

Thanks for the thoughts and input on this important discussion.

As stated in the original worker, all excess funds (revenues) with be returned to the community (beyond expenses needed to put the conference on).

We are considering the worker funds provided to be revenue as well as as ticket sales and sponsorships. Expenses will be deducted from this #. If there are extra funds left over after this calculation, they will be returned to the community.

So Revenues - Expenses = Final Profit or Loss number (if positive we will return it to the community) There is also a chance that the conference could run at break-even or a loss which will be noted in the final accounting with the Move Institute.

Please confirm and let us know if this is in line with your expectations of the use of the funds.
Thanks for the clarification.

In an effort to give back to the community based on our collective success, we propose that all profits be given back to the community fund (if there are no outstanding expenses from unforeseen collateral or attendee expenses).

This would include ticket sales and the sale of the videos of sessions which will be released sometime after the event and post production and sold for a given $USD value. (No more than 30 days after)

"all profits be given back to community fund"

How to calculate the "profits"? I think it should be "all revenue minus all expense" that to be given back.

If expenses are fully covered by the worker fund, all revenue should be given back.

If there are some worker funds not spent, they should be given back as well.

In short, to give back profits, worker funds should be counted as revenue.

hi
so the difference between your
https://dexnode.net/?r=sahkan-bitshares

and this one
https://ex.xbts.io/?r=xbtsx#/market/XBTSX.BTC_BTS

is that yow own a normal witness node,he turned a witness node in personal exchange?
So is possible follow your guide,install  a witness node ,and add my coin "i will find the way" and turn it in my own exchange?
Thanks.

If you want to create a coin, you don't need to run a witness node, instead, you can create via https://wallet.bitshares.org. Please read https://how.bitshares.works/en/master/bts_holders/tutorials/uia-create-gui.html

If you want to run a web wallet like https://wallet.bitshares.org, please read https://dev.bitshares.works/en/master/bts_guide/tutorials/distributed-access-hosting.html#distributed-access-to-dex and https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/blob/develop/README.md

If you want to run a customized web wallet like https://ex.xbts.io/, please read https://steemit.com/bitshares/@cm-steem/bitshares-ui-customization-guide

If you want other people to deposit to your exchange, you need to develop a gateway service, please read https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-ui/wiki/Gateway-Integration-Requirements

thanks are good guides,but i have a problem from the biginning ,because my coin has a total supply of 10 billion,and  in create asset maximum is 10 million,what i can do?
Change precision to 5 or less, then can increase maximum supply.

Am asking that question just on the purpose if its possible that because of lack of liquidity on DEX against major assets some workers are forced to sent their BTS funds to CEX'es to sell it against BTC or USDT to be able to collect the needed fiat or major asset for their worker.

Is it possible that this also creates an unwanted sell pressure against BTS we should have a look at.

I guess chinese workers are collecting bitcny and changing it to CNY via magicwallet.
What about the other workers which can't use this CNY fiat gateway solution ?
Check every worker.

E.G.
* The mobile team worker receives BTS directly, not sure if they sell.
* BBF escrow workers receive bitCNY, all operations are on DEX -- BTS got sold to the market to get bitCNY.

Code: [Select]
unlocked >>> get_account  vesting-tester
{
  "id": "1.2.1662628",
  "membership_expiration_date": "1970-01-01T00:00:00",
  "registrar": "1.2.466046",
  "referrer": "1.2.121",
  "lifetime_referrer": "1.2.121",
  "network_fee_percentage": 2000,
  "lifetime_referrer_fee_percentage": 3000,
  "referrer_rewards_percentage": 5000,
  "name": "vesting-tester",

Code: [Select]
  "referrer_rewards_percentage": 5000
It means 50% to registrar and 50% to referrer.

Neither  "network_fee_percentage" nor  "lifetime_referrer_fee_percentage" is in the calculation.

见证人最主要的责任是正常出块。

MCR 和 MSSR 属于主观性的参数,应该由理事会负责改。
