I submitted a story at https://steemit.com/bitshares/@bitcrab/fork-bitshares , generally speaking it is about how can bitshares make big advance, thanks to the reply from @xeroc, I now feel the community have big consensus on 2 new features - bond market and conditional payment(in other words escrow service).

if you search "bond market" you can find tons of discussions in the forum, most people believe that bond market is a killer app that can bring huge smartcoin liquidity.

in Bitshares roadmap  2017, "bond market" is listed but with the status "not started",   we have talked too much on this new featue and now it's time to begin working on it, and in my view this is a priority 1 task.

as @xeroc told, "A bond market could be huge, all we need is funding and a development team to get this started. It's not like there isn't enough work, it's the funding that is needed and a lot of people are working on this behind the scenes."

so I wonder how much will such a new feature cost? and if the fund can be collected by worker can we start to organize the development team and work for it in short time?

I believe this will be supported by the community, including the China community.

 

in China exchanges, BTC  withdrawl are banned for 1 month until the AML measurements are ready, so now many BTC traders go for outside dealings.

DEX is good as people can deposit CNY  inside and then buy BTC from OpenLedger, which is outside of China goverment's control area. however, now the step of "deposit CNY" highly depend on transwiser, if one day the volume become too big to ignore, it's also possible that the China government to ban the business of transwiser.

maybe we can get help from "P2P gateway", however, to make "P2P gateway" feasible, I feel we need a new feature that can be called "conditional payment".

A want to buy100 bitCNY by paying 100 fiat CNY, so he contact B and they agree to make the deal, then B create a "conditional payment" to A for 100 bitCNY, ATM the 100 bitCNY is locked there, when B get 100 fiat CNY payment from A, then he confirm the "conditional payment" and A get the 100 bitCNY。

a "expiration time" can be set that if B neither confirm nor do anything else then after the expiration time the 100 bitCNY will automatically reach A's account.

if something happen that A and B need to cancel the deal then B can request "refund" and get the 100 bitCNY back if A confirm the refund.

if dispute happen, then an escrow, which is defined when the payment is created, will be introduced to decide how to distribute the locked fund.

this "conditional payment"  is useful not only for BTC outside dealing, but also for scenarios like trading goods, international outsourcing, etc,.

possible to introduce this new feature? any thoughts?

recently China goverment took some actions to restrict/regulate the service provided by cryptoexchanges such as OKcoin, huobi, BTCC, yunbi etc., now it's a good time to promote DEX service in China, I plan to do advertisement at 8btc, the most popular website for blockchain and cryptocurrency in China, below is the details:

there has been many discussion about BTS being one sidechain of bitcoin in the past, like https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21263.0.html,  seems the solution is possible with risk.

recently, it is said steem and peerplay is on the progress of sidechain development, I even saw a pic as below:

but sounds BTS are not included in the development plan? do not know the details.

and Ronny has said OpenLedger will introduce sidechain in 1-2 years.

some teams around the world like cosmos, antshares are developing something called  blockchain interoperability protocol.

BTS definitely need sidechain or other blockchain interoperability solutions to connect to bitcoin and ethereum, but how to plan and organize the development?

with the growing of the ecosystem, the community begin to demand more on witnesses.

one thing is price feeding, while the DEX trading volume keep on growing, the price feeding become more important than before, shorters need witnesses to provide high quality price feeding service to avoid man made margin call or force settlement transactions.

and to keep the growing network healthy, there are also requirements for witness to imporve hardware.

however, as @rnglab has summarized at https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,23607.msg301580.html#msg301580, comparing to the demand to witnesses, witnesses is at a very low profit and do not have enough incentive to upgrade their service, we even can see some witnesses have forgotten their witness nodes.

these are reluctant, a blockchain platform should depend not only on the enthusiasm of volunteers, but also on some business model that can guarntee the basic service to continue, and to attract new comers, we do not like the energy wasting mining of Bitcoin, but at the business model side it is effective to keep the ecosystem growing, we can learn something from the mining model of Bitcoin. 

so now I propose to raise the block reward, currently the reward is 1.5BTS/block, now three options are given: 3BTS/block, 5BTS/block, 8BTS/block. each correspond to an annual dilution ratio of 1.22%, 2.04%, 3.22%, completely acceptable.

what we can forcast is, after the block reward rise, witnesses will more positively upgrade their hardware and service, more new comers will join the witnesses group and we will have a bigger node pool to choose the best witnesses. and I believe some interesting thing will happen.

I have proposed this in China community, up to now the response is mainly positive. now I propose here, hope everyone can express your opinion on this, I believe we now need to seriously consider and evaluate this proposal.

please also consider that the system has daily budget (witness+worker), today the budget is 349297 BTS, which means 12 BTS/block if they are totally paid to witnesses, and the daily budget is dynamic and shrinking if I am correct.

according to the info I collected from China community, the man behind witness "bue" is sfinder, a famous cheater in China cryptocurrency area.
if this is the fact,  we should definitely remove "bue" from witness slate immediately, it's a shame to let a cheater hide there.

however, I am 95%, but not 100% sure what I collected is the fact, to be careful, I set the title of this thread as "about witness "bue"" instead of "please remove "bue" from witness slate". if you know more about "bue", please post it here as proof for community to reach a decision.

to bue: if you are not sfinder, please claim here and provide evidence about who you are.

cheaters are always good at lying, so just being nice is not enough, being careful is always a must.

as btc38 officially said, due to "server logic error", they lost more than 10M BTS, more than 10M NXT and some BTC/LTC from the hot wallet, which totally worth about 1.5M CNY.

it seems below is the hacker's BTS account:

just did a little test, as yunbi has very low market depth, I bought 1.1BTS at price 0.0289CNY. before that the BTS price of all CNY market is about 0.0283.


then what happened is, a lot of witness began to feed 0.0289 as bitCNY price, and then about half an hour later, the settlement price changed from below 0.0284 to 0.0289.


if our witnesses just get price from yunbi and publish as feed price, then it will be dangerous, yunbi has very low market depth, it will be possible for some people to manipulate the price and make benefit without big difficulty.

hope witnesses can update their feed script to do more professional price feed.
