Sorry I was unable to look into this sooner. The problem should be resolved shortly, I have removed the (recent) posts from this thread made by btstip.

Let's see if I can address some of the questions here...

Although not explicitly asked, yes it's possible to create a UIA and then pay users based on their performance (obviously you would want to limit this to only paying for non-custom games to prevent cheating the system, for modes like ARAM a user could still be rewarded, but performance would need to be judged differently then simply objectives, KDA, etc so that's up for debate). Regardless, it's possible to do using the Riot API in the same way op.gg pulls stats on people. What would need to be established is what we're rewarding people based on, and how much (and how this varies between game modes / what games modes are supported).

Gifting RP however, is very limiting https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752964-Gifting-Guide-and-FAQ
I'll highlight the important parts,
Quote
You can only send up to 10 gifts every 24 hours.
You can only receive up to 10 gifts every 24 hours.

The player receiving a gift needs to have been on your buddy list for at least one day.
The player receiving a gift cannot be banned or suspended (this includes Leaverbuster, Tribunal, etc.).

You can only send up to 5 RP gifts every 24 hours
You can only receive up to 5 RP gifts every 24 hours

There's no easy way around this without intentionally bypassing the system which Riot would crack down on. We would have to use a queue-based system which would possibly work early on, but doesn't have very good scalability.

Lastly, to address kuros question of how (user hosted) tournaments are done, first the organizer(s) submit an application to riot, once they've received approval they can begin accepting applicants for the tournament. At the end of the tournament they must submit to riot a bracket outline showing how all the matches proceeded as well as a history associated with each match played (typically bo1s, but this is up to the organizers). Riot is the one in the end to then hand out the prizes once they confirm that authenticity of what the tournament organizers submitted.

is there a way to connect my twitter login with my forum name?

atm no, but i'll discuss it with the team as to whether they want to keep the accounts separate or allow linking / shared balances.

Just mentioning, if you're paranoid about tracking your payment (vs just watching the color-coded status) you can view a more detailed text-version by specifying format=text in the url, i.e.:

http://electrons.io/Electron/Transactions?format=text (using format=text also auto-refreshes like the color-coded version does as well).

And before this question gets raised, no there's not a difference before "Transfering" and "Transfered" in the log we changed the wording to "Transfering" because it doesn't appear on the BTC block chain instantly.

And thanks riverhead for noticing the spelling error.

@hybridd If I try to login with my bitsharestalk account, I get a runtime error:

Quote
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

did I do something wrong?

Sorry it seemed when we migrated the change so people could deposit assets, your balance for BTS didn't migrate properly (strange since everyone else's did...). It was a problem specific to your account and it has now been resolved: http://btstip.io/Home/Dashboard?username=xeroc

Sorry for the inconvenience :)

Whoa, that's weird, I'll get on top of testing why that just happened, thanks for finding.
@iHashFury found the reason why that happend, will fix shortly forum is super laggy >.<

K, fixed the problem (it was due to quote blocks and interfering with the parsing of who was being tipped)

@Bhuz, I mentioned this before, you have 2 unclaimed tips and they were probably never sent out because of yesterday when the system malfunctioned. Now if you want them (the links to claim these 2 unclaimed tips), please just send me a PM. The issue with receiving tips that aren't yours has been resolved, if this is continuing to happen, please send me a PM and quote the message from BTS Tip that was sent to you (so I can see the time stamp and information associated with it).

#btstip "fuzzy" 100 ALTFUND

#btstip "fuzzy" 100 BTS

I looked into this issue, the problem was you cannot tip a person twice in the same post. Now that we support UIAs, I realize this may pose a problem, so the change I'm making lets you tip the same person multiple times in the same bot... but does not allow you to tip the same currency to them twice in the post (i.e. if in your second tip there you also tipped ALTFUND to fuzzy, it would be considered invalid). This is a safety mech to ensure tips aren't double-processed.

The bot has also been changed to give more "indepth" error messages now if a tip couldn't be issued.

@Bhuz I don't quite understand  your problem?

You're not forced into a tip at all. It's as simple as it can be auto claimed to your balance and jeez well if you don't want it, don't touch it and just ignore it.

So, right now lets say you get tipped and you lets say for example you delete the PM and no longer have the tip link there's no way of retrieving it (obviously besides contacting me), I was thinking it would be possible to make the tip go straight to a persons account... that is, there's really no reason now that I think about it to have a person be required to claim the tip, who doesn't want free money? lol

Otherwise, if we don't want an auto-credit system, I could add a "look up unclaimed tips" page where you could enter your withdrawal code (perhaps this should be renamed to proof [of ownership] code) and it'll show you your unclaimed tips and links for them...
