No it wasn't metaexchange. The UI was not polished but it offered really great rates.

General Discussion / Exchange using all liquidity providers?
« on: July 29, 2015, 07:51:47 pm »
Someone posted a cool site that works kind of like shapeshift, but was using all liquidity providers to come up with actual available balance on the other side.

What was it? I can't seem to find it in the search.

Make it so market makers get paid, and market takers pay %. This will create liquidity like crazy.

General Discussion / Re: Ethereum confirmed to launch frontier

Etheoreticaleum

Not as much as BS 2.0 :)

But seriously - someone needs to make ETH <-> BitUSD and ETH <-> BTS conversions tool asap (Perhaps ShapeShift). Once ETH launches there will be plenty of speculators looking for a new home. But someone needs to also advertise as a place to park profits (BitUSD).

65
What you need is, as soon as Ethereum launches to have an easy way to convert ETH <-> BitUSD. This is very important!

Speculators will want out, and what better place to park their winning other than BitUSD?

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares price discussion

I think it takes special kind of stupid to sell at these prices. At this point, might as well pretend it's down to 0, but why would anyone sell here it is just funny.

I completely agree.  We need to evolve beyond the point where we are dependent on any entity.

You mean like Cryptonomex? :) Couldn't resist...

Exactly what I mean.  Right now we depend on them to give us 2.0.  Everything waits on that.

In the future we need to grow beyond this and more decentralized.

But the future is now. If someone comes up with better BitShares you don't think the community would follow them? :)

See the problem is that the 3x collateral is based on the feed price. So one can only short so much.

1M BTS can only short like 2.5K BitUSD.

You can add collateral, but you can't remove it. It's really silly.

General Discussion / Re: LTC Volume as High as BTC Today
« on: July 09, 2015, 01:30:05 pm »
yeah, technologically LTC ought to be more attractive than BTC, but that's always been the case; i wonder why now we're seeing such a big investment in the network? i should probably get over to their discussion board one of these days...

I mean price and volume don't lie. Obviously there are some whales pushing it. Question is why?
Another issue may be the fact that BTC couldn't even have a civil discussion on the block size limits. Imagine if LTC actually increases limits before BTC.

USD 42,000,000+

What's going on? this looks like a serious investment into LTC, not some j@cka$$es running a pump n dump for a few thousand dollars.

Perhaps the faster confirmation times with the same exact RPC as Bitcoin make it even more attractive than BTC?

The conclusion is that mines and bunkers don't get along.

It seems you guys are daytraders... I wonder why you don't follow the money instead of arguing over an altcoins cap?

With that volume, it's hardly any indication. That said - those who are NOT day traders.... what are they? Bagholders?
