gentso-biz-dev.poweredby-thom ?

hehe

When you say it like that delegate.verbaltech just rolls off the tongue.

This is great. It's a thankless job, because you'll have to keep margins low, and it will pay off only when you are doing some volume. Can you have the metals drop-shipped by a wholesaler or do you have to box up Eagles in your garage? Either way, I'm sure we all appreciate your work.

Thanks.

The metal will be drop-shipped by our partner. Professionally packaged, tracked and insured.

Just a thought, I think that since your delegate is not named 'Gentso', this has a bigger effect on vote turnout than you might think. I for one, saw 'verbaltech' in the delegates list and didn't have any idea who it was.
Absolutely!! All delegates should be recognizable with their forum/real world or whatever identity they are backing the delegate up with by just looking at the delegate name.

I understand you point but I wanted to recognize my tech partner Thom. Perhaps this points to a difference between us and other delegates, we are in fact a team. I of course am the verbal end of the team, with Thom being the

technical side. If I was to suggest that Thom runs our delegate and that was his only role I would be under representing his value to me.  He has answered so many questions on the fly for me, that I just can not state the importance

of his role enough.

I do agree that it we lose some name recognition but I am hopeful that the result's produced warrant people finding out who we are and what we are doing.

True, I guess I should ask in another way.
How could someone that would like to buy silver off the site, but don't currently use or have access to bitSilver (aka they have no clue about BitShares), be able to acquire bitSilver to purchase the product?
Are you planning to funnel those people to the BitShares wallet download for them to be able to pay via bitSilver?
I hope I'm making sense LOL. I'm at work and need to type quickly, busy day here.

The site has 2 goals in mind.

1. Sell precious metals globally using bit assets as the ONLY forms of accepted payment.
2. Act as a funnel driving people to the Bitshares main site so that they can learn about the advantages of Bitshares.

Technical Support / Re: I wanna try Bitshares, BUT..

If all goes well a hosted web wallet (blockchain-info-style) will be available today or early next week in beta.   Good enough to TRY.

As long is there is no central control, authority or other company that can get hacked, then ok, maybe a web wallet would be ok, BUT,  I dumped my blockchain.info account since they are a central point of failure.

Welcome  :)

Way to Go Gentso!
Curious question, obviously you'll be reaching out to anyone and everyone who buys silver in the regular market, so whats your plan/idea to get them to use bitSilver for payment for the products sold on the website?
Do they need to go the traditional wallet route, or is it planned to use a Lite Wallet/Shapeshift.io.

We would accept Bitsilver directly.

No need for SS or any other exchange.

The products show on the site right now are for demo and testing only and will be replaced with precious metals.

Quick update, site development is coming along nicely with the cart basically in place

Bitassets have also been added as payment options.

We are looking for someone to work on the graphics to speed progress along. Anyone interested should send me and pm along with samples of work they have done in the past.

Thanks.

Toast:
You are an extraordinarily talented person. Hard working and honest.

Unfortunately you have all the arrogance of youth.

Your posts are almost always thoughtful, generous and helpful. But  on rare occasion they demonstrate hubris and have been as detrimental as anything Bytemaster has ever done. Please work out your frustrations with him and/or other team members in private. Or bring them up in a Mumble session that you all attend. Posting this here you are needlessly contributing to Newmine's agenda and negatively affecting our investments in this project.

I don't want to discourage Toast, since he's a good and talented guy, but I agree with this statement. From the positive perspective, Toast has a great potential to be a greater person.

General Discussion / Re: Atm accepting gold silver
« on: February 20, 2015, 02:25:46 am »
Paging Gentso...

The lamassu code is open source so anyone can make anything for it.

The important part is that the code is not officially supported.

Now if someone were to build code with lamassu and getting their input throughout the process so that when the machines ship it had the bitusd/cny/eruo support out of the box that would be powerful.

Couple that with a gold/silver site that is being built and you start to complete the package. The key is still to build the code with lamassu in from the start......

I too am also glad to see that you are open to dialog.

Can a user of the wallet approve 1 out of the 4-5 delegates or is it a all or none deal?

Also can you confirm that you have never received funding from I3 or individual users? Other then your forum pay of course.

Why can't we bail out bter? Buy it completely as our onramp/offramp channel?

I'm guessing that would be very expensive...

not so expensive if they are bankrupt... What do they have that would be most valuable to us , maybe just need their licenses/compliance arrangements

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, their  licenses/compliance records. And their experiences in operating an exchange!

Could our business dev Gentso1 sounds out Bter about a possible deal?  If the deal is affordable to bitshares, we should take it up.  This solves a big headache - fiat on/off-ramp.  I believe a huge marketing buzz would follow.

Doe bter even have a bank partnership? I thought Ego pay was their only fiat option?

Nice work Gentso.

Thanks. The idea is to make this one project on a long list of Bitshares goals.

If anyone likes the work that is being done I would suggest showing your support to the developers working on the projects and the people making the connections happen.

Vote https://bitsharesblocks.com/delegates/delegate?name=delegate.verbaltech , no secrete sauce included
