General Discussion / Re: descentralized forum based on blockchains?

Seriously, I think these guys are great candidates for collaboration.  I'll try to make contact when I get a chance, but odds are better if others try also.  Try to get them into the Mumble session, or onto the forum.
I am in!

http://retroshare.sourceforge.net/

This project I've been watching for a while.  It already has decentralized forums and encrypted communication, but the key distribution process for adding someone to your contacts is horribly awkward.  Maybe we can get some RetroShare devs into the Mumble room sometime.  I'd love to see RetroShare adopt Keyhotee for private key management eventually, and I think there are some good features Keyhotee could learn from RetroShare.
+5%  almost forgot about that great project .. thx for the reminder

BitShares AGS / Re: silly question about donation wallets
« on: April 23, 2014, 09:50:07 am »
The consensus on how to secure this is actually to use an extra key for each "IPO" and move funds (in btc/pts)  before importing it into bitshares.

We once had this discussion when memorycoin decided to 'airdrop' on PTS.

Hello

Im hoping someone can provide me some guidance.
sure ..
Quote
I donated to AGS from a mycelium wallet on my android. I do have have access to the private key.

Will i be able to receive my Bitshares?
Access to the privkey is all you need

Quote
Will the wallet be compromised afterwards? - Im thinking of using the same wallet for the safecoin IPO
You will need to import the privkey into the new bitshares wallet .. Unless you mistrust the developers, your privkey is not compromised. You can reuse it!

Is there anything else i should be concerned about?
Nothing I can think of ..

There is no justice in DACs. There are rules. These are built into the system. If you play by the rules, everything is fine. If you violate the rules, you will be ignored - and everything stays fine for everyone else.
wow. I really like your explanation!!  +5%

BitShares AGS / List of lucky donators [April 21st]
« on: April 22, 2014, 02:06:58 pm »
Those guys donating PTS on 21 April have been extremly unlucky due to the well known 6k incident :-)

However, those donating BTC had a very efficient day with over 750AGS/BTC (with a total average of about 120AGS/BTC and 280AGS/BTC post BTX snapshot).
Here's the list of very lucky donators:

Let's see!

Calculate the average AGS per PTS for the past 10 days.
Calculate how many PTS would have to be returned to everyone today such that they effectively paid the same AGS per PTS.
Produce the list of addresses and balances so I can copy /paste it.
Identify a proposed compensation to us and the fellow donors for correcting this mistake.

This will make sure that the entire community receives a fair outcome.  ebit will still have given more than he intended to, but no one else will have gotten a RAW deal and all ebit effectively loses is a bit of liquidity.

fair solution
