Technical Support / Latest light wallet and connectivity issues

Hi guys,

How do I download the latest light wallet? Shouldn't the latest version be always available in bitshares.org website? I mean if I am having hard time figure this out after so many years I can only imagine how newbies must feel...I don't know how to read or use github.

In addition I am having serious connectivity issue for the last couple of dayss. I keep reloading and keep changing APIs but none connects for me..

I was wondering whether those nice friendly bts whales that we have and the rest of us can do something about bringing more liquidity in bitbtc, bitsilver and bitgold so  people can safely store their value in those as well within bitshares DEX. Do we need to adjust some parameters?

I am very happy that finally we have a lot of bitusd and bitcny into existence and this brings huge confidence to keep funds within the DEX..I know from my self that for the first time after 3 years I can park some bitusd on the DEX and not worry about lack of liquidity but on the other side I am afraid of a currency fiat crisis coming soon so some bitsilver and bitgold and maybe bitbtc would be nice to have..But I feel idiot to  overpay huge premiums to buy those assets on the DEX and I do not feel safe buying gold and keep it under my mattress..

So what can we do about this? We need to do something for sure before it is late..Thoughts?

Technical Support / light wallet connectivity issues

i am using the latest light wallet in windows and the last couple of days I am experiencing serious connectivity issues..I reload about 20 times and maybe i am lucky to connect do a trade..if i then close the client and reopen then that's it..it never connects..This reminds me the good old days of bts1 ...Can someone please have a look? Am i the only one experiencing this?

I see in cryptofresh $616k bitusd and $602k bitcny and in coinmarketcap I see $107k and $585k respectively...

So which one is correct? This is a big discrepancy between cryptofresh and coinmarketcap especially in bitusd..If coinmarketcap is wrong someone should notify them..

I know that a couple of people recently have registered via bitshares.gr and they should have been registered under my name and I see they haven't.
I have done a test myself as well and it seems that the referral doesn't work anymore?

General Discussion / Can someone make an ELI5 video for converting bitassets to fiat?

Can someone please do that? The shorter the better..Basically I was thinking a video that shows the following:

1) how to install Blockpay
2) How to use blockpay to accept bitassets
3) How to transfer from blockpay to external exchange (I would use bitstamp or kraken or ccedk)
4) Show them that they can sell their bitassets for btc and how btc is converted to fiat

I know that all this info is available in different videos but I would like 1 video showing the whole process to a merchant that has never used btc how he can accept biteur,bitusd and convert to usd and eur via blockpay and an external exchange.

Openledger / Open.steem transfer to Polo

I have transferred so open.steem to my polo account last night and have not yet reached my account. Anyone knows why or can check why?

I have sent a PM to @ccedk with no answer. Is there someone else I should contact for support? I did put my memo and the correct address so i don't know what the issue may be.. Can someone please check for me?

The other day I put an order to buy 2,730 Blockpay for 101,000 bts and I ended up paying 101,000 for 2,675 Blockpay i.e. I paid a transaction fee of 55 Blockpays..wtf... :(...why? why? why? Anyone knows why? I paid a fee in bts terms at that time of 2,035 bts instead of 0.14bts as usually..

Technical Support / Where are the collateral positions on the wallet gone?

On the web wallet under my account I can no longer see the open collateral positions. Where have these gone? I have not been margin called so where are they? Why on earth would you move them to some other place other the main account overview?

Random Discussion / "Construction" token donation

Some time ago I have created "Construction" token as part of a true construction project that is still taking place with the intention to raise funds to support the project and repay the debt with interest. Only one investor has donated a small amount and since the target was not achieved the deal was off and this one investor got his money back with some very good interest. Since the previous deal was off, "Construction" token is now only as a donation. I may chose, or not to reward people that want to donate via the construction token. It is exactly like brownie.pts of bytemaster (with the difference that I intend to buy them back at higher price)

Therefore, if you have some spare funds that you don't need and believe that I will make good use of these funds I receive as donation via construction token please consider buying some https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/CONSTRUCTION_BTS

I don't want to make any promises since this is now purely a donation token but my intention is to use the funds to either support the construction project in Ioannina city (although there is no need at the moment for any support since the project is actually moving as per schedule) or I will use them in the DEX for short selling bitassets since I am and will always be bullish on bts.

Has anyone else noticed that tether supply jumped from c$10 mil to c$15 mil in one day? wow!!! We need to do something and we need it now.. Our bitassets supply is c$300k and tether is $15 mil now..With the whole btc pump bitassets didn't increase at all..

I think we need urgently:

1) some liquidity from bts whales.Don't just leave your bts inactive..Just short sell some bitassets into existing and lock enough collateral to avoid margin calls..

2) We all need to use our dex more often

3) We need at least stop losses orders like poloniex. Can someone do a worker proposal please?

4) We need a lot of things to do as you all know but at least let's start with the above 3. It's been to many years already bitshares remain in the sidelines

I notice cryptofresh is 3days old...I mean come on guys...BTS is still the most amazing crypto out there..don't kill it please...
We need to get our shit together..This is not serious at all! :(
