Will the allocation include BTS tied up as "vesting"?

...the name shouldn't be BitShares PTS. That just brings about the same confusion the merger was set up to eliminate.

Agreed. Hence the following:

* After the upgrade, a complete rebrand.

 +5% didn't catch that part.

Lol this happens everytime...price gets pumped up a bit, stays nice and stable for 8 hours while China sleeps, then China wakes up and it's a panic sell to the bottom. Had to have happened at least 10 times these past few months...

General Discussion / Re: Best BTS exchange?

If you're looking to buy BTC to convert to BTS, BTER has more volume in that category and is the way to go. If you can get your hands on some CNY...you'll want to use BTC38.

And yes, the 1% fee is basically required no matter what to buy BTS on a liquid exchange. Just consider it an additional sunk cost. Seriously bullshit though.

BitShares Reloaded

Now that the enabling technology behind BitShares is proven and we have settled in to a comfortable pre-launch point at Number 4 on the charts, it is time to Reimagine Everything as we approach next month’s epic assault on Number 2.  Everything about BitShares has been
80% impossible.

83.7% of all people believe in the correctness of numbers if they are made up quickly enough!

Welp, next month is already almost over with, and we're quite a ways from epically assaulting number 2 (grin). When does the epic assault commence? Can we hit a $330 million market cap in the next 4 days? lol that would be awesome...

Seriously, every day this past week Ripple adds another 25 mil to its market cap. What the hell's going on over there?

564
Needs a tl;dr synopsis.

565
Hmm...does this mean we expect the supply to actually decrease to 2bn sometime in the medium-near future, in spite of dilution? I understand that the supply is basically 2.5bn now and is expandable up to 3.7bn max, but do we really expect the burn and transaction fees to offset this dilution anytime soon? How long-term are we thinking here, 5 years, 10-20 years?

It still feels difficult to "make long-term valuations for BTS" when the supply seems to range anywhere from 2 - 3.7 billion...am I missing anything?

General Discussion / Re: ETF for BitUSD

The yield isn't really that good. There are investments which give 10% or even 20% a year.

I have to ask: examples? And would these be as risk free as BitUSD (once the system fully matures)?

567
Voting options are incomplete. Where's "no, because that's crazy"? Lol has nothing to do with confidence in the marketing team.

568
I think the biggest problem is -- voting is confusing. I'm fairly technically inclined, but I still have difficulty understanding just what the hell the client's talking about when it says "you are not voting with all of your stake"...

Needs to be better streamlined.

569
Nubits is putting up huge numbers of volume.

Holy hell they are....over $1,000,000. Meanwhile BitUSD, relegated to the 2nd page "assets" subsection on coinmarketcap, currently shows $3,250 volume with a price of $0.948128. Dafuq? Looks pretty bad.

570
Its being dumped like crazy - 0.107 CNY at Btc38. Sadly, I think we are entering another downward phase, and will probably go below 0.1 CNY

To be fair, just 2 days ago it was being bought like crazy, with about the same volume as the dumping occurring now. I imagine this is just natural market fluctuation/manipulation, due to no BTS news for the past week or so...things are slow, so the price has nothing better to do than be volatile for the traders.
