out of the current committee, two have never joined any discussion or tried to contact the rest of the committee.
If you can come up with good proposals for committee member, I would love to support some fresh air in the committee. In the meantime I will keep my voting for people that are at least active in discussions.

So you would rather support a liar?  :(
At least I can TALK to him and he participates in discussions.
You need to understand that the committee needs to be at least 11 people! Come up with a better choice just now!

If we convinced kencode, or fuzzy, or stan or anyone that is active in and for bitshares to become a committee i would LOVE to show my support

I agree... i would be great to have committee members who actually engage... a number of them as mentioned don't participate at all.. which makes me wonder how or why they got voted for in the first place.

What I don't understand is this hate-on for mindflux.. and why it matters now. Did something happen? Has BM moved on so now they have to take aim at someone else to 'shame' ? Is this just the way it goes in other community circles.. always have a whipping boy?

There is much more that can be done.. but we all have our hands tied now due to the voting structure putting everything into stop mode.

The only good news to come around that the committee got to participate in is our brothers down south pushing for bitARS.

Go ahead and ask just how many have actually responded in that conversation. Reality is we have a committee of about 5 or 6 at best some times, and 2 to 3 most of the time. It's not all that concerning though, we are only there to adjust fees specifically.

We are taking a more comprehensive approach to international relations. What this means is that we are now looking to hire Language Ambassadors who can represent Peerplays to their own countries and interact with communities in their language on a regular basis. We need people who will:

- Answer questions people have on forums and social media

- Translate and post the regular Peerplays development updates in both social media and the forums in their own language

- Promote to places where their language is spoken

- Post an OP announcing the Peerplays project and their role as ambassador in their country in all the forums they are members of, including outreach to forums outside of the crypto space, like gaming and gambling forums.

- A one-time translation of the Peerplays crowdsale landing page text, as well as text from 2 or 3 short videos explaining the checkout process (videos are being made right now). All the text from the page and videos will be given to the ambassador as a text document.

- Ambassador must be willing to give their first and last name, and social media and forum contact links, to be displayed on the Peerplays website so foreign visitors know who to contact as their ambassador.

We are offering a weekly retainer which will be a combination of tokens and BTC.

Currently we are seeking for the following languages:

French
Spanish
Chinese
Japanese

If you are active in social networks with another language not mentioned that you think will totally love Peerplays, then feel free to contact us so we can consider it.

We will look to provide additional perks and benefits to our ambassadors going forward, and are always seeking to develop long term relationships with good people.

Please let me know if you are interested and we can discuss the opportunity in more detail. Send me a PM.

Thanks!

** UPDATE **

Yesterday we opened up our crowdfund and had a great response!

We ran into a few technical issues with our funding platform however that only became apparent after we started.

We had an intermitent issue with the email server we were using. We have since taken measures to fix this and have resent out payment confirmations to everyone who paid in, but still have their orders marked 'pending'.

Because some people were not getting their email confirmations this lead to a fair amount of confusion because essential instructions on token delivery were contained in those emails.

We have also noticed some are submitting orders and then not completing their payment process. We are using coinbase API interface that allows you to pay either directly with your coinbase account or bitcoin. It gives you 15 minutes to send something to chain to confirm your payment, after that you need to start your payment process over again. Some seemed to find this process confusing.

With these issues we are going to generate more content dedicated to our contribution process to make it easier for everyone.

In the meantime people have taken advantage of our live support and ticketing system to get their issues resolved with our help. Some have taken advantage of being able to reach us directly to get direct information on the project.

Also, we launched while our designer was still not finished our offer site. There is still some more tweaking, but if you go to www.peerplays.com you can now see our developer mockup we are working with in development of Peerplays that illustrates just some of the features.

That's all for now... this launch was really for those paying attention to take advantage of the low starting price. Now over the coming week we will be rolling out new announcements and updates. If you haven't gotten your PEERPLAYS yet, it's a good time to consider doing so before we move into the $3 phase.

Again.. check out the updated www.peerplays.com

Will any of the betting servers be located in the US?  It's against federal law for a US based server to take sports bets.  Not sure how everything will be setup, but hopefully this was taken into account.

We take regulatory matters seriously and have reviewed such issues earlier on. Details on this are coming later, but I can tell you we have already reviewed the matter of regulator concerns.

Peerplay seems like a fork of DACPlay minus the social consensus. So why not just support DACPlay which does follow the social consensus?

I won't be buying this one because I don't see why it would be any more successful than DACPlay.
Next we will see PeerDNS without the social consensus.

How exactly is it a fork?

I haven't seen anything to fork.

We have a solid team, we have speced out an entire new blockchain, have presented a very compelling whitepaper, and have industry contacts to help incorporate it into elements of the gaming market once it goes live.

Reading the whitepaper the benefits from this project for Bitshares are numerous and have very real implications for Bitshares this year when Peerplays launches.

btw, is peerplays doing what dacplay was supposed to do? i got that impression from the video. a chain to support games that makes it fair for everyone.

Guaranteed Provably Fair Gaming
Peerplays’ provably fair gaming system is 100% open source and built directly onto the blockchain. You never have to worry about cheaters or unfair house odds, because all games take place between real players are matched with each other through a series of on-chain smart contracts. On Peerplays, you to place wagers and win huge jackpots by using these very same smart contracts.

That is the answer regarding making it fair for everyone. :)

Yes, and those details are being released over the coming week.
Please direct me to the released content this week. I've continued to check the peerplays.com website as directed at launch but have yet to see any new content posted.

This seems very interesting but how are you going to adress game integrity issues? I can't find anything about it.
ie: 2 or more players colluding to win a tournament, in a poker cash game format this could be a huge deal also.

We know about issues like this that exist in current centralized systems via various veteran players and enthusiasts who have spent considerable time in ensuring the design bracket structure of the tournament system is fair and provable. The development work we have planned to put into the onchain games once we have the MVP launch is going to be extensive.

This is game changing really (pun intended) :)

So to summarize in response at this point, all I can saw is we have carefully considered that and have taken it into consideration as part of the design. Once the MVP is launched in testnet we will then see what issues may arise.

Not to overuse my pun quota, but a lot of game theory has been built into the Peerplays blockchain... and you will see that as we release more info this week. :) Subscribe to be notified!

This is already being covered by the development of Peerplays.. crowdfund starts this Friday.

Now all you have to do is promote it to have sidechains here. :)

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,22343.0.html

Unfortunately my vision has nothing to do with your vision, but I don't think that it would be helpful to launch the sidechain crowdfunding now.

I don't quite understand what you mean about vision. If Bitshares has sidechain capability that can be used for various crypto currencies what does our visions have to do with it? At the end of the day the technology is enabled and Bitshares gains all the benefits from everyone using it.

With vision I mean the sidechains. From what I saw, it was more like graphene to graphene and bitAssets. There was no mention to Bitcoin. That would be a killer feature, but it is not mentioned there.

Did you look at the video on www.peerplays.com ?

We specifically mentioned bitcoin and ethereum along with the bitassets.

Check it out. :)

Great idea, but is there any prototype/demo or  at least some schedule?
OP said there will be a testnet in next week?

No, we never said that. Perhaps confused with another project.

More details on schedules coming this week though.

???

Oh the time to launch the auction is not next week?

Quote
Question three- If the math for question two is correct,  is it safe you're expecting the AGS donation to average around $1.25 Million USD?

A: No, actually much more. By the time we launch the auction, we will actually have a working blockchain testnet and MVP.

OK I see the confusion point now.

This week we are having a crowdsale with set rates as stated in the OP. We are providing details on the design and whitepaper so that everyone can understand the scope of the new blockchain and DAC and how it will roll out.

Following that later in the future we will have that AGS style auction.

That will be some months from now when the testnet and MVP are complete.

Hope that helps clarify.
