General Discussion / What bitshares should learn from steem
« on: July 10, 2016, 05:43:45 am »
As many people can see on coinmarketcap steem is valued 53 million dollar

this is amazing....

how do we get bitshares to this point, what should we learn??

keep as many shares from the exchanges, so that the demand always exceed the offers

- on bittrex https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-STEEM only 38.000 steem can be bought, so you need just 40 Bitcoin to double
steems value again. with this market structure steem will get to 1 billion in just a couple of weeks.

so we need to create something to lockup 95% of bitshares for 2 years and we will get all rich. Think about it. This is much easier as we might think
it will be.

So finally the time has come and ouer last buyback is now live!

https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/market/METAFEES_OPEN.BTC

We are pleased to announce a conversion rate of 36.78336827 METAFEES for each BTC!

This means from the original offer 50 METAFEES each BTC you got an increase of  35.931%. If you invested with BTS from the start with 1500 BTS each METAFEES you protected the value of your assets with your investement into the METAFEES pool and can now buy much more BTS back.

Paul and i thank you all for your trust and hopfully we can serve you in the future again.

The main reason why we are closing metaexchange.info is the lack of time from Paul, so we can not add more markets and more functions. We hoped it would get better, but it is not happening the next days, so it was better to "free" the funds from the investors.

The pool performed really well and the rise from ETH could compensate the massive fall of BTS and NXT, so the result is and was a really stable portfolio. The nice feature with a active transfering accounts is, that the marketmaking bot needed to balance our portfolio out and did in the long run a good job.

We had a couple of problems on the road to the final working version of the market making bot, but right now he is really doing a good job and would serve us in the future much better.

Please transfer the METAEX.XXX assets as soon as you can. After June we will close this gateway as well!

If you have any questions left, please use this forum. If you have still not processed transactions please use the Support Form on our website https://metaexchange.info/support

Thanks a lot again
Paul and Frank

General Discussion / Working on BitShares..
« on: April 27, 2016, 05:41:47 am »
it seems most of this community is not worried of bytemaster leaving bitshares, but i am.

the public face left bitshares and worked month before on a new project.

why does no one from the left developers see the need to post something to assure the community they are working on bitshares?

why does CNX not post an official statement? So can everyone from them do what they want or what is happening?

At the moment i have near 0 confidence, because the last month bytemaster and his insider circle sold BTS and building something new, without
this community. So probably he has now more value in his portfolio and i am has much less, because i didnt sold BTS.

I remember something in the past this community got a promise "10% everything we build in the future", but with mergers no one wanted and how it
seems today, were not needed, everything changed.

where is the "follow my vote" guys they got a share in BTS for using bitshares. I didn't see them using bitshares, the are using graphene technology but
where does this take bitshares? at the moment it looks like they got  bitshares for nothing.

so i would like to encourage every left party from CNX, coders or FMV to stop by and post what they want to do at their response i will consider what to
do.

cheers

i missed this post https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,22035.0.html and i like the idea to make an auction form @Erlich Bachman

i invested something in Lisk, too and to get some exposure from this ICOs i like the idea!

i will create an asset to make this happen and i will contribute 2000 Lisk for this auction.

i would like that we could setup an escrow account and the community members who are willing to send their Lisk could send some bitshares assets as colleteral for their promise that they will send the Lisk.

if you are willing to send some Lisk just post here how many.

i think we should start with the auction offer and promotion on Thursday and the auction will ending before the official start of the Lisk blockchain.

so for this crowdsale to make it fast, we will do it this way

1. post how many Lisk you will contribute for the auction. (ADD your LISKS to the contributers before you post the whole list again)
2. we will decide on Thursday/Friday if we will do the auction
3. if yes, we should setup a community account of 3-5 people who are in charge of the collateral
4. we need to promote the auction outside of bitshares

So, the idea is that people of our community contribute some LISK into an auction fund. The pair we would buy the LISK would be LISKasset/METAEX.BTC.
The collected fees for using METAEX.BTC will be enough to compensate for the time i put into this idea.
on a specific day we will buy all the offers from the internal exchange as many LISK we got promised. After the LISK chain is live, the LISK will be
send to my account and i will manually send to each buyer the LISK they own.
(better would be if monsterer could make LISK as a bridge available, but right now he is really tight with Reallife business so he has no time to do it right now)
- after all transactions are settled the contributers will get the collateral back and the earned funds for the sold LISKs.

I will do the same for WAVE, so everyone who is interested in this promotion idea, should consider to invest some funds in WAVE on 12th and chip in some funds.

cheers

General Discussion / New structure for some forum sections
« on: March 31, 2016, 05:18:57 pm »
i just watched the video from nathan with amanda on the daily decrypt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENxBmyswSuo

and i think, this is a format we should better support on the forum.

we should make forum sections, who are better suited to find information about our wallet.

for example:

we do not need a section "Trading & Speculation"
lets push every external content to "otherCoins" Trading or so and
create a section for the wallet coins we have

Sections "Markets on Bitshares
a) Smartcoin Markets
b) User Issued Markets
c) Prediction Markets

in each section we need a sticky with explainations and links to information available on youtube or blogs etc.

i saw "jonny" created a interesting prediction market "MILLLIONTDD"
value 1 = total 1 million views by July 1st
OR
value 0 = total less than 1 million views by July 1st

with this precition market it would be great if the community can focus on this market and maybe Amanda can talk on a weekly basis how the bet is going. She could her community to help to win the bet (maybe we can sponsor some BTS to give her some onf MILLIONTDD) and for us it could be a nice MVP product to get more feedback.

the core point of my writing is, we should think about ways to make our forum better suited to find information for the wallet easier and faster.

General Discussion / Imagine that...
« on: March 10, 2016, 08:27:54 pm »
we would have our trading volume in 24 hours a day (just over 4.000.000 USD) we would have on our plattform. i think this would be amazing :D

Technical Support / Version BitShares 2.0.160217
« on: February 27, 2016, 06:53:05 am »
on the bitshares.org webwallet is not working for me since 1 day. i suspect the version is the problem, because on the same machine

the openledger wallet with version   (Powered by BitShares 2.0.160225) is working just fine.

would be nice to get it updated as well.

General Discussion / Does anyone has an opinion to Lisk?
« on: February 24, 2016, 08:54:51 pm »
https://lisk.io/

they are combining Crypti and Ethereum. Do you think the fundraiser is worth to risk some BTC?

Openledger / No support ?
« on: February 07, 2016, 09:38:19 am »
hi guys,

i tried openledger to compare it with metaexchange. i bought openbtc ( https://blockchain.info/tx/21a94994655305188d783ba7ed198496553fb46813b5846e0e3a600e46b42ee7 ) after 6 confirmations
no openbtcs are in my account. how long does it take to get the openbtc?

what i learnt is:

1. you should add support on your website
2. metaexchange should also show how many confirmations are needed (it is 1 confirmation)

pls, look into my transaction i lost a good trading opportunity, because of not working gateway service. We should all try to improve our bridge and gateway services, so that we can slowly get the
trust of new users.

General Discussion / Lets talk Bitcoin
« on: January 27, 2016, 09:08:11 pm »
Is anyone familiar with this plattform?

I just saw https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/goodbye-mike-and-some-thoughts-about-bitcoin

Bytemaster should publish his blogposts, who are of public interest also on letstalkbitcoin. It is not enough to get them burried on a private blog.

I think anyone can publish on letstalkbitcoin if he buys enough coins, but i am not so sure, so maybe someone knows already this stuff?
