General Discussion / Re: Why Bitshares?
« on: January 21, 2017, 11:45:38 am »
Why Bitshares?
Only Bitshares enables free trade of anything at any time from any place.
Only Bitshares does offer a solution that has already proven it's stability and high speed.
Only Bitshares has a built-in corporate law that enables all BTS token holders to create real consensus.
Only Bitshares can adjust parameters like blocksize, fee-schedules and many more directly on chain.
Bitshares is independent and can be used by regulated and unregulated services without changing the platform.
Why does it matter?
The elimination of middlemen saves real money and time.
A decentralized ledger is much more robust than today's centralized entities.
A virtual layer on top of physical goods and services enables a whole new way to interact and exchange in real-time between people all around the globe.
If everyone can create tokens and send/receive/exchange them at will this can create true financial freedom.
Why does it matter to me?
Only on Bitshares I can invest in so many things without asking my broker or even trusting my bank.
I have full control over my funds.
Banks and traditional financial services already get disrupted by Fintech's today and Bitshares has the potential to play an very important role in tomorrows global financial services.
Using Bitshares make me feel to be part of something huge, something that will have an real impact in the near future.
I learn something new about finance and tech everyday by just being part of the Bitshares community.

IMO steem is the way to go.
sure steemit.com is not a forum frontend but it is just a matter of time until suitable frontends will appear.
and finally steem offers the ability for everyone to choose her own frontend...
it's decentral and it's free

General Discussion / Re: CENTZ CROWDSALE - Billion dollar giftcard industry on the blockchain
« on: January 16, 2017, 03:34:12 pm »How many class A shares will there be in total? Without that info there is no way to evaluate the offer.
Quote
https://ico.centz.net/assets/files/The%20Offer.pdf
16,000,000 Centz token represent 16% of total outstanding Class A shares
= 100,000,000 total Class A shares

General Discussion / Re: Update on Chronos Videos
« on: December 23, 2016, 05:39:49 pm »Since you are not interested in a serious conversation I like to express my feelings this way:Quote from: vatoHow about a video about the worker system.
Explain how you make real money out of it and how others could do the same.
It is a great system and there could be so much more active workers doing great things for BitShares.

Oh , after this video, no one will take money out to buy BTS anymore as they know they can make videos/websites/photos/blog-posts for it .
In fact , I'm thinking about it : Why would I take out my hard earned money to buy 1000USD worth of BTS per month and take financial risks when I could just produce something with the knowledge that I already processed ? I'm sure every potential buyer of BTS has some knowledge or skill to offer to the Blockchain.

I'd like to see a monthly report of what you have done and what are your goals for the next month.
Nothing special, just a small list published here and on steemit.
Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Announcing CONSTRUCTION token. Deadline 15th October
« on: September 23, 2016, 08:17:23 am »
I agree with @pc.
However I appreciate your approach and I think you have a really good reputation at least in this forum.
Do you mean that offering the "construction" token to be illegal? I don't think so...Not in Greece but in any country as far as I understand..Only thoughts, nothing for sure.

I am prepared not to remain anonymous to a potential investor willing to cover a large portion of the loan. The amount of money we are talking about is not even worth to hire a lawyer trying to sue you in case something goes wrong.

On the other side people from this community have given lots of money to "invest" in projects that never delivered and probably won't deliver anything and they seem to be fine with this...strange things..Those projects have/had the potential of a much higher ROI and so they are worth to take a higher risk.

« on: June 30, 2016, 11:14:13 pm »
I suggest you to announce things like this in correlation to changes on the OpenLedger GUI.
The average joe will be not able to trade that new crypto currency because it is simply not yet listet on the "my market" tab on OL.
