General Discussion / MineBitShares... with my phone?
« on: May 19, 2015, 05:15:50 pm »
I'm assuming this would HELP BitShares, by allowing me to participate in the pool with my phone. Maybe update my firmware or something so that I can designate 1 or more processes to mining in the background (when the screen is off)??

I've never mined, never had an interest, but I *would* if this helps us in any way.

I "advertised" MineBitShares, sort of, maybe you guys can chime in too?

Belgium is right up the tracks from where I live.
Getting us a SWIFT code will allow SWIFTNet to exchange BitShares' products to/from over 10,800 financial institutions in 209 countries.
Just two of my "business contacts" (eat your heart out BM) have the power to connect us and I can get that ball rolling.

#1 I need your votes, please. (see my signature below)
#2 We need DPOS 2.0 and blockchain-HR as per the 10 requirements in my Poll (bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,16373.0.html) ASAP.

I am formally requesting a transparent consensus amongst the community here before I do anything. Good? Bad?

I cannot find a page that shows me how to setup a DAC in the client, via the CLI or even on a server. The wiki and github pages are too sparce, there's no step-by-step page.

I/we am setting up 2 DAC's here in Munich:
1) BitShares Munich - Three of us (plus we'll need to somehow setup a 2 of 3 multisig account that funds flow into) will bring crypto to the Munich area. I will handle the tech (running server(s), etc), consulting and other business building work. Person #2 talks to SEPA, banks and wealth mgmt firms (amongst other whales). Person #3 is who the media will interview, handles Traders and other work.
2) Name to be announced - These 5 people are in 5 different countries. They are the best of the best at what the do and we need to prove to the whales what each of these people are doing at any given moment. When we can prove their accountability and where they are, what they're doing, etc, closing contracts becomes much easier. Think Underwriters Laboratory, only bigger.

Both companies need to do their own hosting in-house and encourage others to bring on nodes. The plan is to put both on the BitShares blockchain right now, but that could change if, well, you know why.

I need to prove to them right now that I am getting these DAC's setup "as we speak" and they will have the required DPOS 2.0 features, 3 of 5 multisig and blockchain-HR.

Is there a paid Delegate in the BitShares ecosystem that can hold my hand through each step of this please?
Thank you in advance for your reply, understanding and professionalism,
  -ken

The best time to market us to Russian speakers is right now. They just lifted the ban on cryptocurrencies (cryptocoinsnews.com/russias-bitcoin-website-ban-overturned-russian-court/) so let's get our BitShares 101 videos to them ASAP.

There's over 100 Million Russians with internet access, and crypto is on their mind NOW so let's hit'm with it!
I will pay you: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,16101.0/all.html

FYI - Delegates will soon be called Workers.
DPOS 2.0 (as per BM) utilizes Witnesses, Workers, and Delegates.

The biggest impediment of any decentralized company is Accountability. What is each employee doing at any given moment?
Are these Workers aggressively performing their job duties, taking time off, or just out on a smoke break?

A successful company is one that employs Workers who are driven to see it succeed.

Workers - are paid a fixed number of tokens per day to perform Proposed Services
  • Worker Proposal (worker.proposal)
  • Worker Monthly Report (worker.report) - aka "Report" below
  • Worker proof of work URL's (worker.pow) one or more URL's that allow the public to verify Proposed Services are performed
  • Worker Services (worker.services) a "lookup table" of searchable job titles, in order of precedence (ie: show me just the "Tech Support", "Sales" or "Developer" people)
  • Worker Description (worker.description) a brief description of what this employee does for BitShares
  • Worker Country (worker.country) just a country code so the public knows what timezone the Worker resides in
  • Worker Handles (worker.handle) bitsharestalk userid, twitter handle, skype id, etc. (at least 1 handle is required)

BitShares v1.0...
  • The date/time-stamped keys/values above will be stored on the blockchain (ie: Factom)
  • The blockchain is our HR Worker; Global Holidays, Vacation, Sick Leave, Paternal Leave and designated workdays must be requested/approved by the blockchain.
  • will provide a textarea for Worker to submit their monthly Report. That transaction can't be modified after broadcasted. Creating the monthly Newsletter also becomes much easier.
  • If Worker edits and resubmits their Proposal, they must be voted in again.
  • The Report must be at least 200-5000 characters and it must be at least 10% different than last month's published Report or else HR (the blockchain) won't accept it.
  • The Worker will be fined ____BTS per day that their monthly Report is not filed on-time. Once funds are depleted (OR >14 days has passed), Worker is fired automatically.
  • The Worker will be fined ____BTS per day if the other 6 keys/values are not valid. Once funds are depleted (OR >14 days has passed), Worker is fired automatically.
  • To avoid a Worker taking unapproved time off, the blockchain will track A) Worker wallet has been manually logged into at least once per week, and B) a Witness and a Delegate manually vouches for Worker by each sending 0.5 BTS to the Worker.
  • Quarterly BTS bonuses (____% of the current market cap) go to the Top ____ Workers (based on their current rank ("rank" # will be upgraded to include all of the above))
  • Workers cannot be voted on until all of their info is published properly.

BitsharesBlocks.com...
  • will display the Worker's date/time-stamped Report and the additional validated 6 keys/values.
  • If the creation date of the displayed Report is older than 31 days, it is bolded and colored RED with "This Worker has not filed on-time".

Please leave your comments below on adding these managerial "HR" features to our blockchain. Good? Bad?

How do I get the whales in when I am only allowed to purchase "Maximum 0.64678251 BTC per transaction"?

Is there an easier way to purchase $50K worth of BTS?

Thanx,

Hey guys, not sure if this is related to my delegate webhosting provider or bitsharesblocks, but...

1) my local linux client says that my current rank is 151, but bitshares blocks has been stuck at 182 for about a week now I think.
http://bitsharesblocks.com/delegate/info?name=delegate.kencode

2) Also, none of my Public Data is publishing anymore (I published my bitshares-munich.de address on there about 2 weeks ago).

3) The chart there says I have almost 40 million bts in votes now, but the numbers on the left do not reflect that either.

So, is this webhost or btsblocks related?
Thanx in advance :)

HERE'S MY ALEX JONES RANT FOR THE DAY...

Guys, this has become VERY disappointing for me, VERY quickly. >:(

When I search for the following strings, BitShares doesn't even appear in search results!

https://www.google.com/webhp?ion=1&espv=2#q=decentralized%20crypto%20exchange
https://www.google.com/webhp?ion=1&espv=2#q=decentralized+exchange

https://www.google.com/webhp?ion=1&espv=2#q=non-volatile+cryptocurrencies
https://www.google.com/webhp?ion=1&espv=2#q=anonymous+crypto+trading
..shall I go on?

If you do get lucky enough to find the BitShares related websites, they should look a lot more exciting like this:
http://www.falloutcomplex.com
https://ripple.com

Not boring like this (sorry to whoever designed this):
http://bitshares.org
Tell me WHY anyone needs to signup for BitShares RIGHT NOW?
Get me excited!
Where's the pitch and close?

We're even LOSING sites:
eBook: http://bitshares101.net
BitShares gear: http://www.cryptofresh.com

I can help with SEO and SEP too, but we've GOT to get our sites beautified, bumped up on alexa, put on a nice shirt, change your gravatar to something more professional, and I need help finishing all the translation jobs I've got posted. I'm stretched WAY too thin now, this is ridiculous!

It's damn hard for me to bring us the money when we look like a bunch of god damn teenagers. You want investment? Look the part! Let's get off our asses RIGHT NOW, move around, motion creates emotion! A.B.C.

I'm quickly losing my motivation here people, quit bitchin and start thinking of what you're going to do TODAY to bring us the next whale!

Customer Service is everything.

I can't answer every technical support question and the ones that I am unsure of, I'd like to get a Devs chime-in on.
Problem is, I have no idea who does what and I hate to keep bothering the same people all the time.
xeroc, pc, clayop, vikram

The spreadsheet should show what state/country they/re in (timezone info), what topics they can help the community with, their username obviously..

Thanx in advance :)

General Discussion / BitShares101.net is down
« on: May 09, 2015, 07:54:49 am »
Max does not own this site.

This is the site that we printed on the tri-fold flyers, it linked to Max's eBook:
http://bitshares101.net

Anyone know who owns this domain?
It needs to be fixed asap or we need to edit all of the tri-fold flyers that we printed.
