We should have public board with all our partners listed on it.
Also each partner should have status:
Legend:
- [Email Sent] - email (signed with PGP key) with information about upgrade to oficial email
- [Confirmation Of Receipt] - partner confirmed that he recived an email. (At least we know that we have up-to date email address). We are not assuming that partner is ready.
- [Concerns Raised - <link>] - in case when partner raised any concerns about procedure of upgrade. Partner then should create a thread on forum, there should be link to this thread next to status
- [Ready for upgrade] - partner confirmed, that he is ready for upgrade
- [Update In Progress - ETA: 12:00 CET, 29th Feb] - partner is in the middle of upgrade. ETA is known.
- [Upgrade Finished] - partner and users confirmed, that upgrade is finished.
We should also have list of our VIP partners. Hardfork should not be made it all VIP parter at least not confirm that they are aware about it.
If one of our VIP partner is not ready, we should put extra effor to help him.
Motivation for that:
As a user/shareholder of bitshares, I would like to know, which exchage is safe to trade bitshares. This information have to be public and in one place!

If you want to use brand "New Money", maybe you consider "₦ew Money"?
Then you could use "₦" symbol everywhere:
"₦othing will stop us!"
"CHA₦GE is coming!"
Actually in my opinion "CHA₦GE" would be great as a name for brand.
In the promotion video:
"What you can do with your CHA₦GE? You can put it into piggybank. You can throw it into the fountain and say a wish. Or you can actually buy a 2 hours long movie!"
"This is disruption. This is CHA₦GE."
This is simple, have currency connotation ( ₦ like $ or ฿), its one word instead of two, it is even more disruptive, emphasize the fact that you can use your pennies to get something.
At the beginning company should have one brand. Actually brand should be the name of the company. Like "Uber", "Google" or "Facebook". Later when everyone already know this names, it is easier to create new brands based on main brand, like "Google Glass", "Google Play", "UberSelect", "UberX".
It is much cheaper to promote one brand which at the same time is a company name. Please think about that

Currently, it is VERY expensive to get in and out of fiat with smartcoins and we need to bring some competition to this space.

@tonyk's idea "bitSHARES - As True Shares and Not a Currency!" is the solution in my opinion. Right now (at least in my country) it is very diffucult to create a FIAT<->Crypto gateway mostly because of lack of regulations, or to strict regulations about "money laundering".
It's impossible for a service to offer the smartcoins because they require collateral. If they get a surge of deposits they can't keep up with it. Atm I see no way for a service to provide those in a 1:1 ration.
I think, http://www.transwiser.com/ have 1:1 CNY->bitCNY
Why they can do that?

I am not sure, why you want to create a brand "New Money"... and still you are using everywhere symbol of old money - $. This is not consistent.
What do you exactly mean by "New Money". Bitshares? (why rename it?). Did you mean by "New Money" BitAssets like bitUSD? Or new "User Issued Tocket" like "SOLC"?

The exception is, when you want to create totally new brand, and you have a lot of funds, to create new brand and teach people what name of your brand actually mean.

When you will ask Chinese which currency is the most stable for them, they will answer - CNY
This is obvious, right?
So why we are selling and buying things here with BTS? This thread is of course related to @tonyk 's thread: bitSHARES - As True Shares and Not a Currency!
When I came to bitshares, I was convinced, that bitshares has great value for companies, because there is no risk at all, when you use it as derivative asset. This is great explained here:

So... the question is, why we pay witnesses with BTS? We should ask each of them which bitAsset they prefer and give them exactly so many bitUSD/bitCNY which they need to cover their expenses - electricity, server, etc. This have different cost in different parts of the world, so why we are paying every witness exactly the same? If there are two subcontractors which can do exactly the same thing (read this closely exactly... I mean, by price, certainty, quality, downtime server, etc), we should always pick the cheapest one. In most cases big difference in price for specific service comes not from the different quality of service/product (we can always find products/service with the same quality), but from cost of developing them in specific local market. - this may seem to be controversial, but you... should think like shareholders!
Back to the witnesses, our employees should not be worried whether next month price of bitshares will cover their expenses or not.
In general, this exactly the same with all offers in our internal Market on forum - https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/board,7.0.html. They all should be in bitUSD, bitEUR, bitCNY, etc!
I also made this same mistake, when I have announced, that I will give someone 5000BTS for the best Liquidity Event poster. When I came up with this idea wondered, whether I am able to spend ~$20 for that. And right now this offer is worth $21.375. I took completely unnecessary risk.
We should try to switch to this kind of thinking. Stable assets are our greates product, so we should use them, and stop using BTS for transaction now! We do not need new implementation of bitshares as pure shares, to achieve that.
